Over 10 years with Panthur .. worst service and issues over last 6 months

Over 10 years with Panthur we moved to another service. Back up service of database and website recovery failed resulting in over two week lost data to restore service after outage. Last 6 month emails from panthur email server are marked by spamaus for spam resulting in email to outlook, gmail and hotmail being blocked. Paid 12mth upfront for server used 2 months and refused to refund. Support takes days at times to repsons. Do your self a favour and go elsewhere.

Stay Away

Stay Away, used to be rock solid now they don't care.

Hosting was constantly off line after being with them for several years. No changes on my end. Site started having problems on and off for months, last outage was over 4 days, they said 16 hours. Cost me a client and cost me time having to rebuild my website because of their mistakes.

Being gatekept by unhelpful Level 1 Technicians. Can't get anyone but them on the phone to help support.

Do not trust them with anything critical.

Nowhere near the SLA they promise and compensation was one extra month free of $39.

Panthur doesn’t deliver what it promises

After more than 10 years as a customer, I have reached the point where I can no longer recommend Panthur to anyone looking for reliable web hosting.
If you're researching hosting providers, my advice is simple: look elsewhere. My experience with Panthur has been incredibly disappointing, particularly over the last few years, and I believe prospective customers should be aware before committing to their services.

Panthur advertises "The Panthur Promise," including a 30-day unconditional money-back guarantee, 99.9% uptime, 24/7 support, Australian-based web hosting, and bundled features such as free SSL certificates. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those promises.

The biggest issue has been the quality of customer support. I have had critical support tickets remain unresolved for months, with some exceeding six months before any meaningful outcome was provided. Communication throughout the process was poor, updates were infrequent, and I was often left chasing responses instead of receiving proactive support.

On multiple occasions, tickets sat untouched for weeks before anyone replied. By the time a response was received, the issue had often already caused unnecessary disruption to my business. Even then, the responses frequently lacked detail or failed to address the underlying problem, resulting in further delays and frustration.

The prolonged delays and lack of resolution had a genuine impact on my business, affecting my ability to provide reliable services to my own customers. When I raised these concerns and requested compensation for the disruption caused by unresolved support issues, I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than genuinely considered. In my experience, there was little acknowledgement of the commercial impact these ongoing delays had, and the customer experience lacked the accountability and empathy I would expect from a business hosting provider.

I also found the claim of 24/7 support to be inconsistent with my experience. There were numerous occasions where both phone support and live chat appeared to be available but went unanswered for hours. At times, the phone service appeared to be offline, live chat received no response, and there was no communication to customers advising of any service interruption. In my opinion, advertising support as available around the clock should mean customers can actually access it when they need it.

In my experience, the support structure is also inefficient. Straightforward technical issues were routinely escalated rather than resolved by first-level support, creating unnecessary bottlenecks and significantly increasing resolution times. For businesses that depend on reliable hosting, these delays can have serious consequences.

While Panthur promotes itself as an Australian-owned hosting provider, my experience has been that much of the support is handled offshore, and the overall quality of service has declined considerably compared with when I first became a customer.
Another major disappointment has been the value for money. In my opinion, Panthur is overpriced for the level of service it now delivers. The focus appears to be on collecting subscription fees rather than providing the responsive, reliable support and customer service that its marketing promotes. When you're paying premium prices for business hosting, you should expect premium support—not unanswered phones, unresponsive live chat, and unresolved support tickets.

There are many hosting providers that offer faster response times, knowledgeable support staff, and genuine accountability when problems arise. After a decade with Panthur, I no longer believe they provide the level of service businesses should expect from a hosting company.

My recommendation to anyone considering Panthur is to do your research carefully and compare them with other providers before making a decision. Based on my own experience, I would avoid them and choose a hosting provider that stands behind its promises, values its customers, and delivers the level of service it advertises.

If I could give this company -100…

If I could give this company -100 stars, I would.

After being a Panthur customer for over 10 years, I feel it's important to share my experience so that anyone considering them as a hosting provider can make an informed decision. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and would strongly encourage prospective customers to look elsewhere.

Over the years, I have had support tickets remain open for more than six months without a satisfactory resolution. In many cases, there appeared to be little urgency or genuine commitment to resolving the issues. When I raised concerns about the disruption these unresolved problems caused to my business and requested compensation, I was told that compensation could not be considered until the support case was closed. Once the cases were eventually closed, I either received no meaningful outcome or no compensation at all.

The ticket management process has, in my experience, been extremely poor. I have had tickets left unanswered for weeks at a time, sometimes exceeding three weeks before receiving a response. By that stage, the response was often too late to be of practical use, and there was little effort made to explain the outcome or provide meaningful assistance.

The quality of customer support has deteriorated significantly over the years. I found that constructive feedback was not acknowledged, and legitimate concerns about service quality were not acted upon. Rather than demonstrating a commitment to improving the customer experience, my concerns were often met with little accountability.

While Panthur promotes itself as an Australian-owned company, my experience has been that support is now primarily handled offshore. I found that many Level 1 support requests were routinely escalated to system administrators, even for relatively straightforward issues. This created unnecessary delays, increased ticket backlogs, and made it extremely difficult to obtain timely resolutions. For businesses that rely on reliable hosting and responsive technical support, these delays can have a significant impact.

If you are specifically looking for a hosting provider with fast, knowledgeable, Australian-based support, my experience suggests that Panthur may not meet those expectations. There are many other hosting companies that provide far more responsive support, often replying within an hour, actively listening to customer feedback, and working proactively to resolve issues.

After a decade as a customer, I am deeply disappointed by the decline in service. In my experience, the lack of timely support, poor communication, and unresolved technical issues made it increasingly difficult to operate my business with confidence. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering Panthur carefully research alternative hosting providers before making a decision.

I've been a Panthur customer for years

I've been a Panthur customer for years, and have several domains and web hosting services with them. I'm still very happy with their service - they are attentive and thorough when you need support and the back end is easy to navigate. I am not what you would call tech-savvy. Today, I had to open a live chat and received excellent support from Aswin, who very patiently persevered, waiting on line until my issue had been resolved. Also, their prices are reasonable. I genuinely recommend.

I'd genuinely give zero stars if I could

I'd genuinely give zero stars if it would let me. A service that has been deteriorating for years finally hit rock bottom after a server "upgrade" took all sites and emails down, and support refused to even acknowledge tickets on the topic, other than a generic "We're working on it" update on their own status page.

I moved my client to another host, and closed the Panthur account. They had no interest that actual businesses, that people rely on to pay bills, had no websites or emails for a week.

Aus webhosts have always been historically bad, yet Panthur somehow manage to be the worst of them.

Appallingly bad as of March 2026. Do not even consider them.

They upgraded some equipment about 2 weeks back, since then my business emails from my domains (for 7 staff) is gone and their support are just not answering phones or online chat.
When they do answer a ticket it's just a generic response which doesn't fix anything.
Considering suing them for loss of trade.

Panthur have really stuffed customers…

Panthur have really stuffed customers with their maintenance window this week - no emails for 36 hours and none cached. While mail started flowing after 36 hours, what happened to all of my mail that should have been cached for the 36 hours of down time? It's just "missing"???? Not happy, Jan! Been a long term customer but now reviewing my future with Panthur.

Over 15 years with Panthur

Over 15 years with Panthur, they used to be a great company and I stayed with them for good customer service, which is important for server hosts. They have been doing routine server work and I'm now left with no incoming or outgoing e mail for over 24 hours. waited ages for support and then they just say they are working on it, this is not routine, its a total mess up and we were not advised of this kind of disruption, just a few hours overnight. My business has had no e mail for 2 working days now and counting.

I would say Panthur is a truly worthless

I would say Panthur is a truly appalling service but that would mean there was any in the first place. Slow, expensive, the knowledge base is outdated and pointless, the support they offer is almost non existent, honestly if you are looking to host your website, i cannot express strongly enough to go anywhere but Panthur, avoid them at all costs, their latest debacle has convinced the business i work for to pull the plug on two hosting accounts and all domain names, we simply cant afford to stay with such a terrible company anymore, they are literally killing our business

A lot of waiting for tech support

Generally happy with Panthur and have been with them for over 10 years, but the past couple of days have been a frustrating experience. I've spent a significant amount of time waiting for support, and today I wasn't able to connect with anyone at all.

I get that support teams get busy but when you're stuck waiting and ultimately walk away without any help, it leaves you feeling a bit let down.
