DO NOT PARK HERE

Clippership Public Parking in East Boston (run by Metropolis.io) charged me --- $380 --- for one overnight stay. They also tacked on an extra service fee, despite the website for this location clearly stating that "Rates include service fees".

Conveniently, they don't tell you in their signage, on their website, or app, that they will charge you the full day rate for any amount of time. Park for 30 minutes? You'll pay the maximum for that time period.

I've been stuck in an email thread with Metropolis customer support for almost a week now. According to their rep, Clippership charged me for FIVE full 6-hour periods in a 20-hour timeframe, which they think is perfectly OK.

Seriously, park anywhere else.

Pick up was horrible. Had to call an Uber.

Arrival was fine. Prices are fine, however, after a long flight home pick up was a nightmare unable to reach anyone at the facility was told I would receive a text. Never did attempted to call over 30 times told that no voicemail was available when I finally did reach someone they were so rude. Definitely not worth the price when you’re coming back home you wanna smooth experience and they did

Dishonest

When I pulled into the lot, I asked the attendant if this was the lot for the Walters Museum or if the museum had public parking. He said this was the lot and that it was $20. I saw the sign said $20 was a daily rate, but that museum members had an $8 rate. I asked if there was an hourly rate and he said no. Since I had my elderly mother with me who could not walk long distances and this lot was the closest, we paid the $20 only to walk across the street and find the museum closed. We immediately went back and asked if we could be given a refund and/or raincheck as we were planning to return the next day. We traveled over 3 hours from NJ specifically to visit museums in Baltimore and to have crab cakes at Jimmy's Famous Seafood. We had overnight accomodations booked since there were several places we had hoped to visit.

The attendant stated he could not give a refund since he already marked our ticket as paid and the best he could do would be to charge us the member rate if we returned the following day. I felt this was unfair since he certainly knew the Museum was closed and told him that I would like to lodge a complaint. I asked his name and he refused to provide his name. I asked him to call his manager and he refused. At one point, he started to raise his voice at my mother and I, but stopped when I told him not to shout at me as I wasn't shouting at him. I tried calling the main number for the parking lot, but it went to voicemail without offering the option to speak to anyone. I felt the man was not honest as he did not tell us the museum was closed and would not provide his name nor contact his manager for an approval for a raincheck.

Although my mother and I will be returning to the area to visit the Baltimore Museum of Art and other places as promised, we will not be returning to the Walters Museum. We have no intentions of giving this business any more money. Dishonest and unfair practices in my opinion.

Unreliable Garage

Arrived at this facility at 4:30am after making a reservation on Spot Hero. The facility is a supposedly “24/7”. Arrived to close down shutters, called, rang the bell, waited 15 minutes with no answer. Disgusting way to run a business.

Do not park here

Do not park here - apparently they changed hands not too long ago and the current operators need much more help and organization to make this a reasonable service. We waited 45 minutes to be picked up on our return and the shuttle was so full every inch of sitting and standing space was taken. We had called several times to see why the shuttle was taking so long and no one answered AND it said voicemail was not set up. Also, we had reserved a spot but on arrival they told us they only had valet parking left; it would be no extra charge except gratuity for the valet. Of course when we arrived the bus unloaded a huge amount of people and there was only one valet so that took forever too. Hope they can improve in the future perhaps with hiring a lot more staff.

The garage closed at 8:30 PM and there…

The garage closed at 8:30 PM and there was no sign stating this anywhere. Our car was locked in and when we contacted Metropolis for assistance, they were zero help and said there was nothing they could do. We ended up having to google and find a phone number and pay to get our cars released.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. These people left chewed up gum on my car door handle. Who does that? I paid for my car to be kept safe. That’s so disgusting. Never in my life would I expect any human being who’s decent to do that to a customer who is coming for their car any moment now. Leave some to believe these people steal things too.

Sent me $100 ticket even after i paid

They sent me a $100 parking viloation ticket saying no permit even though i paid. I used their stupid little app amd prepaid. And they sent me this bullcrap. Thats a scam. There was nothing on that garage saying you couldn't park there, it wasnt a special spot. I paid and you want to say if i dont pay your crazy $100 ticket, im going to get booted. Im so livid. You do everything right and these greedy scam artists will still try and bleed you dry. Crazy. Never in my life will i use this garage again. Making sure all my city friends know to stay away even after i get this resolved and prove i paid.

Worse service

Worse service, left at airport over hour waiting for shuttle, ended up getting Uber to parking lot. Three phone calls to inquire about shuttle but no one answered the phone. Vans are not clearly marked. Don't use them, go someplace else.

Scam Young Adults into Paying Twice

My daughter (19 years old) reserved a spot and paid up front. When she wanted to leave they made her pay again because they "didn't have" the scanner for the code she had on her phone showing she already paid. She called the next day and they said no refunds. Seems like a scam to me...

They Saw Me Park… Then Locked Me Out Anyway

So the gate was wide open when I pulled in. I saw the sign .....Welcome to the Faromnto Building Pay by Phone, Scan Here...... Everything looked normal. I parked, and stepped out for just a quick visit next door.
I come back… and boom!! the gate is completely shut. Locked. My car is trapped inside, along with all my personal belongings. No warning, no notice...nothing.
And I wasn’t alone. Another gentleman was in the exact same situation. Both of us had paid nearly $30, and neither of us could even access our own vehicles.
We tried calling customer support. When we finally got through the person on call, instead of helping, they blamed us as if this was somehow our fault. Meanwhile, we’re locked out, standing outside for no reason, on Mother’s Day of all days, with people waiting for us elsewhere.
After 45 minutes of back and forth, frustration, and even threatening to call the police, they finally opened the gate remotely something they clearly could have done from the start.
What makes it worse? They literally saw me park and leave, yet still locked the gate right after. I had to beg just to get access to my own car.
Completely unacceptable. Poor management, zero customer care, and an incredibly frustrating experience especially on a day that’s supposed to be meaningful.
Not cool at all.

City of Austin is A Scam

If I could give Zero stars, I would. City of Austin, you are scamming citizens. I am severely disappointed with the City of Austin on multiple levels. I took my son to the Downtown Rail Station thinking we would hop on the train and ride it up to the mall and back, so I paid for 4 hours of Parking on the Pay to Park station. Little did I know, the train had a switchboard error and after only 30 minutes we were back in the car, and the City of Austin says they can't give me a refund for the excess time even though I verified the time I got back in the car. If it wasn't so egregious I would just let it go, but it is the principal of the matter now.

Board outside the elevators holds you hostage.

Board outside the elevators said "90 minutes parking free". We were parked for just over an hour, and was charged $24. Was held hostage by the machine, once the card was inserted. Will never park there again......I want my money back!

Just to be clear, this is parking below Loblaw's store at 500 Lake shore blvd W. in Toronto....so beware!!

Paid, but on guaranteed reservation

I would give them zero stars if I could. I purchased advanced parking for a lot in Nashville TN. Received an email and a reservation just fine. Parking.com charged my credit card. In the reservation it said to scan the QR code when I got there, but none was provided. Since it was a big concert I was parking for I wanted to ensure it was reserved. When I heard nothing back after a week of email I called customer service. No matter how many times I called, I got someone that struggled with english and was hard to understand. But, the informed me that QR codes would not be used, but instead, a license plate reader. What this actually meant was first come, first serve. They told me that. Even thought I paid, they could not actually guarantee me a space. This is ridiculous. I paid. Why not guarantee a space? It was very painful getting anyone to talk to or understand that. Thankfully I cancelled and got a refund prior to

If I could give this lot zero or…

If I could give this lot zero or negative stars I would! If you are a woman parking alone, NEVER, NEVER go into this creepy place.
I regularly drive downtown for business and use any number of parking lots, but I'd had no experience with this one until last Sunday, 04/12/26.
I used the Lyric Opera discounted parking link to prepay parking for a Sunday matinee performance. I had my receipt and confirmation.
This lot was creepily empty when I entered. There is no counter, office, or attendant. It is very poorly lit, there is no daylight. The ramp is a steep corkscrew. There were almost no cars here. Not a sound. No voices. No footsteps.
I parked and ran to the elevator. I just wanted to get out.
When I returned and tried to exit, the gate wouldn't open even though I scanned my receipt.
There was a sign with instructions to send a text if the gate didn't open. No response to my text.
I backed up and tried the second exit lane. The gate didn't open. Here there was a phone number which I called and waited my turn. Someone named Mark did finally answer and he opened the gate.
YOU COULD NOT PAY ME to ever go into this hell hole again. STAY OUT!

LATE NIGHT ACCESS AFTER HOURS

All went well until leaving at 12:00 midnight. No directions available on how to get in to get your car. Bancorp Building is shutdown and locked. The skyway is shutdown and locked. The chain link doors to the parking lot are locked. The parking lot help phone number was not answered and message said to call in the morning. We did not stay at the Marriot Hotel but we rang their door buzzer until they let us in. The Marriot staff gave us directions to the Bancorp indoor elevators, which gave access to the parking lot. I did see past complaints about people not being able to get to their cars, with the same problems. Listen to your customers and provide information on how to attain access to your parking lot when it is late at night. Just post this complaint at the entrance and late night customers will know how to get late night access.
