Park West lies, cheats and steals.

My wife and I are ex-patrons of ten years. We did not receive a painting and after 12 months and several phone calls to Park West they asked if we would like to cancel order. My wife said yes and asked for a refund, the customer rep said we could not have a refund only a credit. We made several calls to sales reps but got nowhere. We finally decided to go to a Dallas land auction and find a piece of art around the same amount as our credit and be done with Park West. However when we told one of the sales reps what we wanted we were told there was a 20% rule on credits. In others words you could only use an amount equal to 20% of the purchase price of your new art toward your credit YOUR MONEY your buy a $5000 piece of art you can only use $1000 of your credit toward the purchase, WHO IN AMERICA DOES BUSINESS LIKE THIS! Then if you have credit left , as we did they will STEAL that money and tell you IF YOU DON'T USE IT YOU LOSE IT! We finally after several phone calls got a lady that did refund our balance. And finally if you are elderly as we are and you call Park West about buying your art work back they tell you to go to an on-line art broker BIG RED FLAG! Buy your art on-line in the first place, RUN AWAY FRON PARK WEST. True story from 10 year ex-patron of Park West.

One of the best Park West experience with Trunette and Heinrich

My husband and I are recently back from a cruise on carnival jubilee and had the best experience with Park West. We have been to several VIP events and this one rivaled those. Trunette and Heinrich were AMAZING! They were both very personable and helped us to find the perfect pieces to compliment our current collection.

Just returned from a 10 day cruise on the NCL Joy

Just returned from a 10 day cruise on the NCL Joy. Had a great experience on all aspects of the trip. My wife and I loved the art auctions. I do collect art and did attend most of the auctions. I have to say Johan provided great auctions and the entertainment that goes along with it. Fully explained all aspects of the auction terms and what to expect. Annemie who has the cutest name ever was eager to help after the auctions. Annemie was not pushy or over the top to push a sale. Very professional on what was purchased and what to expect on shipping. We won and purchased several items. One purchase was framed and most not. I have already received most items exactly as stated. Francesca also was extremely attentive and provided equally great information which help us in and after the auction. It has to be very hard work doing these auctions day in and day out. I attended a seminar on history of some of the art by a girl named Sophie. Sophie answered so many questions I had on the background of many of my favorite artist and even some not listed in the auction. Sophie’s extensive knowledge led me to a purchase. If I was Park West I would offer Sophie a paid scholarship to get her doctorate degree and to continue working for the company as she brings the knowledge any company of this caliber continues to need. Beware of hidden charges

Our experience with Park West on the cruise ship was mixed, as I see many other reviews were as well. The salespeople were very friendly, and overall we enjoyed the auction and the experience. However, during their contests, we won 3 prints, which were announced as free, including frames and shipping. We also purchased two paintings. We chose other frames for the paintings, and we received all within a reasonable timeframe. My issue is that we were charged $400 for each print to cover the frames and shipping, almost 1,200 total. The salesperson did not discuss these extra charges. We would never have agreed to accept these prints had we known the additional cost for framing and shipping. When I called Park West regarding this, I was told that they were sorry this happened, but the prints could not be returned, and no adjustments could be made to our account. So just beware.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company! I “won” $500 towards a painting on my cruise. They knew exactly what I had bid on and informed me that I needed to come back at nine and to bring the voucher. When I went back, they said that unless I would have bid on an actual signed Thomas Kinkade that voucher was no good. They said that they told me that when I received the voucher, but they did not. I even asked other passengers if they had heard them say that and all everyone that I asked said no.
I feel like it was a classic bait and switch. I was angry and in tears when I left the appointment. I had to look forward to getting my paintings all day, as I had bid 350 for a reproduction of Thomas Kincaid. They told me that that was the auction special so it did not count as something I could get with the $500 credit. These people are shady as all get out. I was embarrassed because I had told my friends and family I had
Won.
Do not trust this company. It was on a royal Caribbean cruise. The auctioneer’s name was Daniela and I believe the gentleman that assisted me was named Thomas. (Not sure about the name). Do not go to their art show or purchase anything from them. If you do I have a feeling you’ll be very sorry.

Bliss Norwegian Cruise Art Gallery

I just came from NCL Bliss ....I had a great experience with the art show and the art was exquisite... A young gentleman helped me out by the name of Bruce Cambell very knowledgeable with the art and was very a great listener to what type of art I was looking for. He made me feel welcomed and was on point with art.

I have really had great experiences with Park West :)

Art is a matter of taste, and I have consistently found artwork at the onboard cruise auctions by Park West that I love. I have purchased four artworks from Park West, and won an additional two large artworks at Park West giveaways. I even framed a couple of the small free artworks given out after attending the auctions. I am satisfied with both the price that I paid for my artworks, and with the same great service and understanding of the different Park West sales teams on five separate cruises.
Whenever I told them that a price was just too high for an artwork that I was thinking about, different sales teams on separate cruises always treated me respectfully and with understanding. I did not feel pressured in any way on the occasions that I was interested in an artwork but did not purchase. I enjoy the onboard art auctions whether I purchased artworks or not. In my experience, Park West is a very nice optional activity during a cruise that I have always not only been satisfied with but also look forward to on my cruise vacations. I have found that by simply openly communicating with Park West's wonderful sales teams, that I always enjoy every event hosted by Park West and I do not feel pressured to buy when I tell them I am not shopping this time or that the price is too much for my budget. And on the cruises when I did purchase artwork, I was treated wonderfully by Park West every time no matter how much I was spending. Thank you for many enjoyable on board art auctions and educational talks on my cruise travels, Park West! I always love Park West cruise events, and hope to enjoy more of them in the future!

Celebrity Cruise Park West Experiance

Reijnder, Kelly- Anne, Dallas and Kamo have made the art cruise experience gun for me again. In 2016 I bought my first artwork and have been on many cruises since but never have had another great experience in regards to the Park West Team until now. They are first of all very knowledgeable, extremely friendly and willing to answer all questions. You will have the best art cruise experience with this team and more likely than not end up buying a piece you love and can take home with you and appreciate every single day.

A Memorable Experience

My husband and I had an incredible experience with Park West Gallery during our April cruise. From the very beginning, the team was genuinely kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about art, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

We are not typically art collectors, so we never expected to leave with such a genuine appreciation for both the artwork and the people behind the gallery. The team made the experience memorable, fun, and completely approachable. We looked forward to seeing them every day during the cruise, and visiting Park West has become something my husband and I look forward to doing together in the future. It is a new shared interest that we both genuinely enjoy.

Each piece of artwork ordered has also arrived in perfect condition and in a reasonable amount of time, which has only added to our positive experience.

The scavenger hunt was one of our favorite activities. I loved discussing the artwork with my husband and trying to answer all the questions correctly—it made learning about the art interactive and so much fun! We also really enjoyed the videos featuring the artists JBon and Goddard. Learning about the artists and their inspiration made the artwork even more meaningful and personal.

Overall, we attended every event that was offered and enjoyed each one. At no point did we ever feel pressured to purchase anything. Instead, we felt welcomed, educated, and inspired. Thank you, Park West Gallery, for creating such a wonderful experience. We can't wait for our next opportunity to visit!

I wish I had written this review sooner because the team truly deserves the recognition. A heartfelt thank you to Siobhan Kehoe (Art Auctioneer), Nicola Novakovic (Gallery Director), Zarco de Beer (Gallery Director), Megan Buckley (Gallery Director), Aiden Olivier (Art Specialist), and Romario Hunter (Art Coordinator). Every one of you helped make our experience unforgettable!

Park West completely mishandled our frame.

We specified our frame requirements on a NCL ship with our print 4/15/2026 which were small, light, modern match colors in print.. We were shipped very heavy, large, garish, gold like frame for a museum. It was completely inacceptable. We asked Park West to compensate us for their. They offered 20% of our cost. It was a complete miscommunication and unacceptable. Wendell Covalt Redondo Beach, CA.

If I could rate this a zero I would

If I could rate this a zero I would. Supposedly Parkwest sent me my purchase but I never received it in the mail. Tried calling Parkwest as well as synchrony to dispute charges and they are telling me it was signed for and they will not reverse the charges. I asked to see the information about receiving it and they sent me a signature saying it was received, not only was the signature not mine but the date it was received I wasn’t even in town. Tried disputing multiple times only to keep getting the same result.

Despicable company

Please don’t buy from this company especially on a cruise!

They overvalue the art by tens of thousands and they are now refusing to send me an invoice or receipt for what I bought. They’re a despicable company and have had tons of lawsuits!

On the cruise ship Luna

On the cruise ship Luna, we attended the art auction a great use of our time. Had the pleasure of meeting and working with Okeim, Brend, Emmanel and Peter. We purchased some artwork for our home in maybe the best place to do business with. Okeim was awesome in assisting us with the purchase. NO PRESSURE at anytime. Easy to understand and treated us like royalty. The auction staff were ALL very respectful of our time and made the checkout process so easy that we will be visiting the auction again today! The paintings , prints all beautiful with options to have framed or no frame shipped directly to our home. The auctioneers are truly passionate about their work that you are comfortable at all times.
We sailed on the beautiful new ship LUNA with NCL (norwegian). My wife fell in love with a print that she didn’t bid on and Okeim found away for us to get one for our home.
My highest compliment is that we will return again today to add to our home.
We would like to thank NCL for having Park West Gallery on this beautiful new ship the Luna.

Not the piece I was told I would receive

The experience on the ship was fun and exciting, unfortunately I was not told the truth. I was told the piece I purchased was the last one in inventory and it would take longer to receive because it had to get off the ship and be thoroughly cleaned before shipping. The piece I received wasn’t the same piece, it had a flaw inside the acrylic that wasn’t in the piece I saw on the ship. Additionally, I was told the piece had a value of $11,000+, however, the appraisal was $5700, just over what I paid!!!! I really feel this was a bait and switch. When contacting customer support they agreed to send me a non flawed piece even though they say they didn’t have to, they were doing me a favor! Never again! Not only was this a pain, I feel I over paid and was told untruths, I will never enjoy the piece in the same way I expected.

Buyer Beware

I had been a loyal customer for many years until my most recent order. An additional piece of artwork was added to my order that I did not authorize or purchase.

I contacted customer support twice regarding the issue and was assured that a manager would return my calls, but no one ever reached out. Despite my cancellation request, the artwork was still shipped to me.

The lack of communication and poor customer service made this a very frustrating experience. What should have been a simple issue to resolve became unnecessarily difficult. As a result, I will not be purchasing artwork from this company again and cannot recommend them to others.

I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled.

I was on the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas

I was on the Royal Caribbean Oasis so the Seas and met two people from the park west team at dinner one night. Dean and Michael were fun dinner companions and I decided to attend the next auction on board after our dinner. I was throughly impressed. Dean conducted the auction in a fun and entertaining way and I loved some of the art work he showed. I purchased a beautiful print with a gorgeous frame and carried it off the ship. The frame alone is worth so much more than what I paid. I also purchased another unframed print which will be sent to me and Michael and Dean included 4 other beautiful prints too at no cost to be sent to me. Dean and Michael are true professionals. They had an impressive knowledge of art and were so helpful. I am so happy that I attended the art auction. It was the highlight of my cruise. Dean and Michael made my cruise amazing. If on a cruise I would definitely recommend attending a Park West auction. You will not be disappointed.
