I was given advice from a Toyota…

I was given advice from a Toyota technician that the parts I were ordering would be compatible with my Lexus. However as this did not coincide with parts4hybrid's records they refused to post the part and wasted my time, even though I was prepared to take the risk of trusting the Toyota technician. I wouldn't buy from these guys either on their website or ebay.

Extremely slow service

I ordered a car battery, then pretty soon after received a refund which I couldn’t understand. I emailed them to ask why, with many back and forth they kept saying I was ordering the wrong battery. They were basically insinuating that I was lying and I was trying to order a battery for a car I didn’t own!!

I had to take pictures of the back of my car and give a VIN number before they were able to see I had actually ordered the correct battery and I did own the car I said.

Then I reordered the battery, only to be then told they wouldn’t deliver to my address. So I gave them an alternative address. They agreed to deliver and issued me a tracking number.

After an few days I could see that the carrier had the battery in the depot from 14th Jan and it hadn’t moved up to 24th Jan. I then got on to P4H to see what was going on. To be fair this wasn’t their fault and they chased it up but, the time it took for them to get back to me via email had a lead time of at least a day.

After P4H chased the parcel, the carrier (FedEx) did something, I don’t know what but, they didn’t deliver my battery, and said it was a “technical issue” and returned it to the sender.

P4H then said they wouldn’t try to send it out again as they didn’t trust FedEx to not do the same again !!! How are they going to continue in business if they won’t use a their chosen courier service???

I tried to organise a carrier myself but, it was far too expensive. After more to and fro via email over days I asked for a refund to be issued. I finally got my refund on 31st Jan.

The whole fiasco took 3 weeks and my car is still off the road. I’m now trying my best to source a very difficult battery to replace and the Estimated Delivery Date I now have is 18th Feb. By this time my car will have been off the road for 6 weeks.

The main issues I have with P4H is the distrust of a customer that someone would lie to buy an expensive item for the fun of it and the time it takes them to reply to emails.

I believe a more efficient company would have halved the time it took to get to the end result simply because of how slow they are in responding to emails.

If you are after a quick efficient service, I’d go elsewhere.
