rude and greedy

I have an blood sugar value of 5.9% (HbA1c) which is low pre diabetes and Passport hard have excluded everything related with diabetes and even stroke, heart attack and even heart rhythm disturbance even though I never had anything of this and on top of this charged me 40% more. I find this very discriminating and they try to make a larger profit of my situation. I have asked the broker why they put 40% on top of the premium even though they exclude everything and he put the phone down on me.

The insurance works and works well

The insurance works and works well. The issue is customer service is non existent and when you do get it pretty bad.

They also make it nearly impossible to sign up, a company that needs to make money, makes it nearly impossible to give them any.

I've sent numerous emails and have tried signing up with them for weeks now. They never reply.

I've scheduled appointments with them to get on a call. They never show up. They never say anything about it either.

It is sad because the idea is flawless and they could be a big company but they simply make the sign up process impossible.

My girlfriend has this insurance currently but we will have to cancel it and go to a different one if this is how they are going to be as they aren't letting me get added and I need insurance as well

Unprofessional and Rude Customer Service

I was sorely disappointed with the customer service I received from Passportcard, specifically from representative Nikolaus Zdasjuk. After waiting ages to get a response to my initial email inquiry, Mr. Zdasjuk became rude when we spoke on the phone to follow up with some questions about pricing.

When I politely asked for clarification on certain costs, he raised his voice and spoke to me in a condescending manner. I expressed that I didn't like his tone of voice, to which he threatened to hang up on me.

This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable for a service meant to help customers. I will not be purchasing a plan from Passportcard if this is how they treat people asking honest questions. I would caution others interested in digital nomad insurance to reconsider working with this company or, at minimum, request a different representative.

Poor customer service should be a red flag when trusting a company with your healthcare.

Excellent service & coverage

One of the fastest & kindest customer service experience, especially in a moment of need (injury while traveling in Bali).

They also cover (I believe this is optional) laptop/camera, and the red credit-card is a great addition if you don't want to pay out-of-pocket, or chase insurance company for reimbursements. (I technically paid with their card at the hospital)

As a nine years digital nomad, I believe this is currently the most hassle-free solution for long-term travelers.
