We are using the Patsnap tool since 5y already. All of my colleagues are very happy with the user friendliness of the tool as well as the frequent updates. So all in all we very glad to have that tool integrated in our R&D process.

Patsnap did excellent job by extracting the information in an efficient and accurate way, and provided a whole picture of the IP status of the relevant technology at the same time, which not only gave the guidance of the direction of the R&D work, but also deliver practical information to improve the research.

This is a powerful and user-friendly tool to search and analyze patents. I have about a half year experience with PatSnap and familiar with it's "Field", "Semantic", and "Classification" search. It has a "Help Center" with all the guides and tutorials to get you started. I think the "Translate" feature also very useful, the patents you find can all be translated into either English, Chinese or Japanese, and with a pretty good quality. However, the "Legal" feature only lists the legal status of the current patent that being viewed, it would be awesome if the legal status of the patent's family members could also be listed, thus we can have a clear view of the strategy. There are many more powerful features to explore, I'm looking forward to it.

PatSnap’s semantic search has been a high value-add for McCoy because it allows an engineer who's not technically trained in patent processes to perform a level of initial exploration. That's probably where we're using PatSnap the most and getting the most immediate value out of it.
