If I could give a 0 star I would! Run from this company. We were with Paycor from Jan-June 2025. What a disaster. They never paid the payroll taxes from Jan-March, they still a year after canceling them in June 2025 are still filing taxes on our behalf when we sent a cancelation letter. They doubled their fees and taking money out of our account . Missing money not paid to State of NH and never took out the taxes for a MA employee. Thank God we realized the errors quickly and got rid of this company. ADP helped us fix Paycor errors for W2. Trying to get someone to help us find where our payroll tax money went is nearly impossible. They need to be investigated by the AG office.

Can't sign in to my account so I reached out. Paycor said I need my client ID and told me to get it from my account so they could help me. I guess they do not realize how ridiculous this sounds. I have been going round and round with them for a couple of hours online, in a chat, and on the phone. The final straw was talking with an actual person who refused to help me and refused my request to get transferred to someone who could help me. He said no he would not help me or transfer me. What kind of customer service is that?! If you are looking for a payroll service, keep looking. There are many better options our there!

Can I please use negative stars? Worst PR provider I ever worked with. You do not have an assigned PR professional. Paycor made a huge mistake, case created and 5 weeks later it is not resolved and now I have to fix the problem it created. Asked for a supervisor call ...no one called. Asked to have agent assigned to our case call me only to be told they cannot call you. They will only email you.

They are horrible! If I could rate in negative numbers I definitely would! They totally ruined us in many ways. Including making the tax payments to the IRS like they were supposed to do.

Custom Reports Issue
After coming from ADP, we were told that we could create reports even custom reports through Paycor but they did not mention to us that there was an additional cost for each report and that it would take 4 to 6 weeks for us to access report. With ADP we were able to connect with a custom report rep and they would instantly work on report and provide it for us right away. I was a little disappointed because we use custom reports quite a bit.

Worst company ever for hidden fees. If you are considering paycor, RUN to any other payroll company. The first year we had them, the end of year fees for hundreds of dollars was ridiculous enough, and then I downloaded copies of 1099s and W-2s and got charged hundreds of dollars more. Finally got fed up and switched payroll companies. We ran our last payroll on 3/15/26, filled out the cancellation form on 3/25/26. Got an invoice for April which I was expecting to pay for a 30 day notice, then a week later got another invoice for 2 months worth of fees for canceling. So we had to pay 3 months extra worth of fees to cancel our contract. Even though the contract copy I have says $0 in fees as long as you had the service for more than 24 months (which we did) their explanation is that was our implementation contract and not our actual service cancellation convenience fee. We ended up using paycor at the advice of our bank and I will be reaching out to fifth/third and letting them know how predatory paycor is to their members.

Zero stars should be an option for this company. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, reliable and responsive to your need payroll company do NOT choose Paycor. This company has the most horrible customer service. And 9 out of 10 times Paycor will ALWAYS let your business down. To be such a huge payroll processing company that even merged with another company last year Paycor is the sorriest excuse of a company. Do not trust your payroll with this company.

We have been happy with our switch to Paycor. There are fast response times from support, which is great. There are a few things that I feel need improvement. The reports are a little clunky, and I sometimes struggle getting the custom reports I want. Another struggle is manual checks and voiding them before payroll is processed. Overall though, the software is significantly better than what we used before.

Happens every time. The rep will tell you that someone will work on it and they will send you an e-mail when its complete. Never receive an e-mail, have to call back to follow up and of course have to explain the issue all over again. I cringe every time I have to call customer service.

Horrific experience! The system continuously has issues. The customer service is the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. Not once have I been able to get a complete resolution to any case. Delays on paying state taxes causing unnecessary charges. They will send the same invoice to multiple emails and claim non-payment and add extra fees even when you have proof of payment and paid immediately. Thousands of dollars of just missing tax impound funds and so much more.

The wait times for Premium Support to respond and find a solution/fix are taking longer and longer.

If your okay with waiting for 3-4 weks for a response to service ticket issues, then Paycor just might be for you! Calling is no better. They have a tendency to play "not my job" and transfer you to various departments that also can't address the issue. There is a total lak of urgency and accountability when it comes to supporting customer needs. You would think that a platform built on supporting business operations would have an acceptable turn around time for support needs but...NOPE! You are truly on your own. Can't say that we will be here much longer.

When you have to call support, you never know if you're going to get a qualified person or not. Majority of the time, they have no understanding of the issues let alone how to fix them. They treat employers as if they don't know anything and Paycor is never wrong. They have never made a mistake ever! I am keeping a list of all the issues. They try to make it seem like they care, but that is simply not the case.

On 3/3/26 Case 11850287 Called Paycor regarding the JobcostGL payroll report received following submission of payroll. Explained the report does not balance debits and credits. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and then disconnected.
On 3/3/26 Case 11850465 Called back to Paycor JobcostGL payroll report explaining again the report is incorrect. Was placed on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes and then was disconnected.
On 3/3/26 Case 11852637 Called back to Paycor again regarding the JobcostGL payroll report explaining again the report is incorrect. Was told it would need to be sent to someone else and should expect a follow up email regarding the case. There was no resolution that could be made that day. I have not received any communication from Paycor regarding the report and in the portal, it states the case was closed forty-five minutes after my call. No detail at all in the notes.
The JobcostGL continues to be an issue each pay and I continue to be ignored each time I call with no resolution

I like the product. It was be nice if some of the streamlining issues were addressed but overall it's a good product.
Customer service is lacking. Most of the time I contact customer service for support I am provided with the knowledge base article that I have already followed the steps but I still have outstanding questions or concerns. The back and forth for support is ridiculous. Then when asked to provide a screen shot that I already provided attached to the case is redundant. Customer support feels useless at times as I have to open up a case for a case that was closed before I could confirm the "solution" solved my problem. Every so often I am paired up with a Customer Service agent who is personable and thoroughly enjoys their job. I love working with these few employees as they truly want to help and provide a solution.

Sales people were great and answered all questions; however, implementation was not what I had anticipated or expected. A lot of the functionality was not set up for us, we had to set up ourselves. I would recommend hiring a third party to assist with implementation so you get a working system from go-live. Customer service after go-live is SLOW to respond and generally not super helpful, rather direct you to links on their help page for you to figure things out on your own.

Advice is wrong no solutions makes it worse can not explain how anything works “ghost” employees you can’t resolve should I keep going

Reply from Paycor
Continued lack of knowledge and trust in the products and services offered. I have several ongoing items that do not have a resolution. No one knows how the product works, they make system changes frequently without a change management plan or understanding dependencies on other features.
