TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE TWICE
Went to pc world croydon as my laptop has been locked out due to a virus. No idea about email and password to get bitlocker key. The same woman served me on both days was very unhelpful. Would not offer me another laptop to try to sort it out even with my receipt.
Dead loss and extremely unhelpful ringing Microsoft was no help. Disgusting.
Brilliant business service
At Brentford PC World, Business Customer Manager, Satti Vikhu, was excellent: helpful, knowledgeable, very capable and efficient. It was worth being a business customer just for that, escaping a very slow queue, and receiving his expert fix. Thank you, Satti Vikhu. Will look forward to doing more business with you.

We ordered a american style fridge…
We ordered a american style fridge freezer on the Monday on the Thursday they tried delievring but during delivery they damaged the fridge, damaged our front door and internal door. Took old fridge away and also tool new fridge leaving us with no fridge. As they damaged the fridge they then gave us a delivery day of the follong Sunday. Sunday no one turned up and they didn’t give any reason. They then said they would deliver Tuesday they cancelled delivery and when we called a man said the item was out do stock and put the phone down on me. I called PC world and asked why the fridge was not being delivered and was told it was because the fridge was damaged. So we have been lied to also. We were then given a new date of Friday.
We cancelled the order and purchased one from AO. Delivered next day with no problems whatsoever. Don’t buy from PC World go to AO much better
Appalling customer service would…
Appalling customer service would recommend buying elsewhere as I tried to contact them and couldn't get to speak with a human. Zero chance of contacting a local branch "vote with your feet" imagine how bad it would be dealing with these people when you have a real problem
Thanks, Maitri
Good afternoon,
I was shopping in Currys, Farnborough, on 08/11/2025 with my step-daughter and toddler.
We had originally gone in to buy a dash cam that comes with a cabin-view; while there I decided to look for a tablet for my writing at work. This was primarily for keeping my notes up while I used my laptop.
The store was very busy, and I'm 35 (going on 36) weeks pregnant. We had been waiting a while, as staff were occupied.
A lovely young lady named Maitri, came over to help myself out, check what was currently available in store to take away that day. She confirmed details, what I wanted, what it would be used for, memory, and if I was fussed about colour - and promptly went to check what was in stock out back, making it clear the website may not be accurate so she would check first.
Noting I was pregnant, she brought me over to customer service by the mobile area (front left of store) and offered me a chair; she also made clear she would go back and grab the other packages I wanted to purchase, instead of myself carrying them and my toddler. I was very appreciative as by then, I had been waiting a while and my legs and back were hurting, and she made sure we were all comfortable.
Maitri very kindly also applied the new screen to my tablet, although it did fight back! She was very determined, bless her.
She then proceeded to ever so kindly carry my items to my car for me, which I am truly grateful for, and made my life significantly easier while battling a toddler, autistic/adhd step daughter, and being heavily pregnant.
The whole time, she was professional, friendly, kind, and clear. I truly appreciate the help she gave me, and the above and beyond she offered.
Please do pass on my thanks to her, she is clearly a hard worker and actively looks to make customers lives easier and informative.
Terrible service
Bought a tv 6 weeks ago , it’s stopped working suddenly when watching it , phoned up to get it repaired , it was collected and have now been told it was damaged , I haven’t damaged it , the guys who collected it didn’t even put it in a box, absolutely terrible service , won’t be buying from curry’s ever again
Won't sell you anything without you giving them email / home address
Seems I am not the only person that has had this issue lately. I went into Ashton-u-Lyne store to buy a TV stand. The flatpack was on the sales floor and I had a credit card in hand to pay. I was asked for my info to which I said I wanted a paper receipt to just pay and take it away. They were adamant that they need my email and address 'for the warranty' and would not budge on it. If they were at least honest and said it's for marketing and let me decline then I might have walked out with the stand. As it was, they wouldn't sell me the TV STAND (not even a TV or electrical goods) without my address so I put my card back in my wallet and walked out. I bought a stand somewhere else instead.
This was all after I had been earlier in the week and followed around like they thought I was going to steal something.
Bad form PC world / Currys.
Horrible company
Horrible company. What happened to paying and giving a reciept. I dont want to give you every bot of personal information I have just in case something breaks. Avoid. They are probably selling it for kicks.

PC World is the worst...NEVER AGAIN!
I took my laptop in to PC World to be wiped as some wiped as someone had hacked my network. They charged me £175 used a mirror program to copy my files quicker. When I got my PC back they failed to remind me how to use the program as they failed to reinstall my files. I forgot about using these programs as it had been a while. My files were subsequently held hostage for over £75 to sign up to be able to see my files this program scattered and buried files deep into some program files. Years later I still haven't got all my files. The worst thing is I had Windows 11 installed on my laptop It all looked different when I got it back I couldn't get it back to how it previously looked. Today after weeks of messages about windows 10 not being supported I had to check why I was getting the messages. They installed Windows 10! I'm livid!!
Bad company and shit items!

I went to PC world today in Erdington…
I went to PC world today in Erdington and attempted to buy a TV receiver and a microwave. They Insisted on me providing personal details before the purchase, which I refused to give. As a result of this I decided to pop next door to Argos and buy the same items there, only at a reduced price
Scammed
I bought a laptop in 2011 and took out their 'extended warranty'. Took the laptop in for a repair in 2020 and was told that because it was so old they'd cancelled the warranty and I was no longer paying for it. September 2024 I noticed that I was paying £8 a month for something that I had assumed was for another laptop. I investigated and discovered that I was still actually paying for the warranty they'd told me was cancelled. I emailed them and explained what had happened, expecting them to refund the money but apparently they have no record of their employee telling me in the shop that my warranty was cancelled as my laptop was 9 years old and because I have no record of a verbal conversation, there's nothing I can do but wave goodbye to almost £400 they've had off me for nothing. The email I received today explained that I cannot go to the ombudsman because their 'extended warranty' is not regulated. That's nice to know, Curry's PC world sell unregulated financial products and there's nothing you can do when you don't record and date conversations with employees instore if you have a problem at a later date.
PC World Repair service is pathetic.
Laptop died on Monday evening. Took in to PC World Tuesday am, booked in for repair and was charged £50, plus parts. Chased up Thursday and Friday to check repair status and was told I would be contacted in 24-48 hrs. Not good enough! Went in Saturday to find my laptop hadn't even been sent to the repair centre yet (after 4 full days!). So took it back and asked for (and got) a refund of my £50 deposit. Took it to a local repair shop Saturday lunchtime and had it fixed by 5pm at a cost of £20. PC world repair service is a dead loss, AVOID!
