Horrible

Horrible. I have a learning disability and I am unable to use the legally mandated accommodation I have to take an exam.
I have sent three emails regarding my locked accommodations account that has been inaccessible for one week now. It is ridiculous how they lock your account right after creating it.
I am now in a hurry to have my exam booked but I cannot get my accommodation and I have called three different people for help but they cannot seem to give any form of advice to help me with my account. As a company who offers very notorious exams, it is ridiculous how people with disabilities are unable to get the help they need to be able to comfortably take any of these exams.

Alright

In person most of the workers are friendly, some have attitudes. I took the test at home, a little bit after I finished the test I received an email stating I could access my test score, nope! After several hours it updated stated completed and still 6hrs later no update on the score. Ridiculous considering if you’re in person you get the print out immediately of your score.

If I could bring it to the negatives I…

If I could bring it to the negatives I would, but lowest we can is one star. I took my Physical Education Certification exam 258 and honestly I regret trying. I have 3 again 3 freaking degrees in Kinesiology from my associates to my master's of Science Degree in Kinesiology. I took the test and flagging several questions in hopes it would mark them with at least 10 to 17. I looked 3 to 4 times before I got tired of flagging questions, because they were not being marked that I checked if I remove an answer or not answer I would at least see those was possible at least. I was unable to locate the 10 to 17, because I still have to do the essay that takes about an hour to do. After all of that and calling Pearson after I took the test to leave my concerns not once out of the month I waited for the score did I get a message from them. I failed by one maybe 2 questions, but I know I would have passed if I was able to know what questions I wanted to return to. I have called 3 different times and sent 2 messages with disappointments they did not respond. Out of many exams I took that are not in my area I can see at least a 70, but this was and they let me down along with my program Teacher Builder. I am seeking legal counsel, and if I have to I will take them to court as far as I can go. I lost positions that I am unable to get with a freaking certification. I know more sports as a former athlete along as coaching and training several individuals way before my first degree. I have had coaches unable to beat my athletes who had years in the system even with such talent they turn around and try to take them from me by hoping recruiting them would steer them away from me in Harlingen. I have several trophies against a coach I know has at least 3 boys play for a school in RGV. I even coached a group of lineman from TYFA with their quarterback and tightened in basketball to play against the same coach who had talented basketball athletes as the game ended as a tie. I will keep fighting and I wish there were other individuals that would join me in this fight to remove Pearson Vue or even have them fix our scores, because they are the problem and the reason Texas and many other states are short on teacher/coaches.

Pathetic experience with Pearson VUE.

Pathetic experience with Pearson VUE.
Their automated identification process repeatedly failed while I was trying to verify myself using valid Indian identification. I tried multiple identification methods, encountered technical problems, and had no effective human support available to resolve the issue. The exam was ultimately closed.

Even more concerning, Pearson VUE later stated that my identification was issued in a “country that is under sanctions.” Considering that I attempted to submit Indian identification, this raises serious concerns about the accuracy of their system or subsequent case review.

Instead of properly investigating what went wrong, I was left facing the financial consequence of a disputed technical failure.
For a company handling professional certification exams, I expected a reliable verification process, accessible human support, and a fair investigation when its technology fails.

NEGATIVE STARS

NEGATIVE STARS
This might just be my own entitled opinion, but I think remote testing and proctoring services are getting a little ridiculous with their requirements.

Don't get me wrong. I completely understand the need for exam integrity. Verify my identity, check my computer, make sure I'm not cheating, and ensure my testing environment is reasonably free of distractions. That's all perfectly reasonable.

But look at what we're already agreeing to. You can monitor me through my webcam and microphone, record my entire exam session, scan my computer for prohibited software, and require a full 360-degree inspection of my room. I can't have notes, a second monitor, headphones, or practically anything else on my desk.

Fine. I understand the reasoning behind most of that.

But apparently, none of that is enough. Now I have to be completely alone in a quiet room, with nobody else even allowed to be present.

You're telling me that my toddler, minding his own business across the room, is somehow an issue? He's not interacting with me, looking at my screen, or helping me answer cybersecurity questions. He's just existing in his own home.

I understand that rules need to be enforceable, and that proctors can't account for every possible situation. But at some point, the requirements start defeating the entire purpose of offering remote testing.

The appeal of testing from home is convenience and flexibility. If I have to completely rearrange my home, remove half my equipment, make arrangements for everyone to leave, and turn my office into a sterile testing environment, what exactly is the advantage?
If I wanted to sit completely alone in a silent room with nothing around me, I'd just go to the testing center.

There's a difference between protecting exam integrity and making the testing process unnecessarily restrictive.

Pearson

Pearson - Sandton Office Tower has the most absurd rules in place with the most incredibly rude staff frothing at the mouth to carry out those malicious rules. Because of the monopolistic power Pearson holds in alignment with VISA processes, they use any (and i mean ANY) loophole to send you back without writing and NOT provide a refund. I’ve actually never heard of an establishment such as this that is solely focused on monetary exploitation. The employees at the Sandton Office tower will look for any miniscule mistake to ensure you don’t get to write your test. The (won’t bother describing him because i won’t go there lol) was smiling in pure glee when he told me I could not write my test because of an administrative loophole. He didn’t even bother to hear out the scenario or perspective because he felt so eager to feel the power he has been seeking his entire life. Don’t get me started on the abysmal turnaround times. It seems Pearsons will ensure that they find any unscrupulous measure to keep your money without providing the predetermined service but would also take ions to correct the mistakes that THEY make. An abhorrent assessment centre - DO NOT USE IT.

**Extremely Disappointing Experience…

**Extremely Disappointing Experience and Complete Lack of Accountability**

My experience with Pearson VUE has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable.

After experiencing an issue with my exam, I attempted to get assistance and clarification regarding my case. When I finally reached someone, I was informed that my case had already been closed. Nobody had contacted me to explain the decision, and the representative could not tell me why it had been closed.

I was then informed that the proctor's notes stated I had left the exam room, which is completely false. I did not leave the exam room, and I immediately disputed this information.

Rather than providing an explanation, reviewing the disputed information, or offering a resolution, the representative gave me another phone number to call. That number connected me to the Department of Transportation, which left me even more confused.

I am now facing the possibility of having to pay another examination fee because of an incident that has not been adequately explained or resolved.

The lack of communication, accountability, and meaningful customer service has been astonishing. Test takers invest their time, money, and effort into these exams and deserve fair treatment and accurate reporting.

The proctors are extremely rude

The proctors are extremely rude. They scream and shout at candidates… as if they are doing favors for the candidate. Also their accents are so thick its sometimes hard to understand and when we ask to repeat they get irritated, rude and arrogant. Pearson needs to really get more polite people during exams because their proctors end up upsetting candidates which makes it emotionally difficult to take the exam.

Extremely disappointed with my Pearson…

Extremely disappointed with my Pearson VUE exam experience.

I encountered a technical issue before I could even start the exam, through no fault of my own. Instead of providing a reasonable resolution or allowing me another opportunity to take the exam, my attempt was denied, my $125 exam fee was lost, and I was subsequently accused of misconduct.

This is completely unacceptable.

When candidates are required to install intrusive client software and grant extensive access to their devices, technical problems are a foreseeable risk. Candidates should not be held responsible when issues arise from the exam delivery environment or the testing software.

What is even more frustrating is the lack of meaningful support or accountability. After taking the required steps, paying the exam fee, preparing for the exam, and attempting to comply with all the rules, being told that the problem is simply the candidate's responsibility is extremely disappointing.

Pearson VUE needs to take responsibility for the reliability of its exam software and provide a fair resolution when technical failures occur. Candidates' time, money, and professional certifications matter.

I strongly urge Pearson VUE to review how technical incidents are handled and ensure that candidates are not unfairly penalized for problems beyond their control.

Do not recommend

I went to do an in-person test for a ServiceNow certification and was not able to start at the scheduled time because I didn't a physical copy of my document.

Where I live there is a digital option that is well described in the law that is mandatory to be accepted and an alternative to the physical government issued document. It is a government phone app and it must be accepted.

This ended up throwing my attempt off track, I had to take more than one hour in public transports to go get my physical ID and was not able to start at the scheduled time.
