They are not transparent. They will have random people call you who will go on long rants about stuff you have never been told, won't tell you if your documents expire and when, and just try to seem like they are helping when they aren't. They harass you by phone and email, especially for money, even if they understood in the beginning that you are a broke college student, and promised I would not have to pay until after I graduated. I have since paid the university at least 600 dollars because they threated to drop my classes multiple times. The claim was that I am considered under parental care just because I am under 23 when I live fully on my own. The content and learning used to be good, and now its all AI. All you do is use AI, do assignments on AI, and train it basically. No real learning anymore. I deeply regret attending here but I'm stuck so I figured I would warn yall.

Courses are easy to understand, Professors/Instructors are great, they have accommodations for students that need it, career services

This is the worst school I’ve ever attended. I’ve been taking their online classes for a few months as a creative writing major and I am absolutely disheartened by how god awful the experience has been. The staff is no help, my financial aid keeps being delayed because of their stupid system issues, that they can’t seem to do anything about for whatever reason. It’s now going on a month that these funds have been delayed, also the classes suck, I have yet to learn anything of relevance, literally all the assignments are just boring busy work that doesn’t actually teach you anything and the teachers don’t even give constructive feedback! I also feel like my creativity as an artists is pretty restricted even while trying to take creative classes. I thought Valencia was bad, this school is way worse! They don’t even let you pick your classes, and also it really doesn’t matter anyway considering basically every class is the same curriculum, I don’t see much difference from the creative writing class I’m taking right now than the first class I took here. This school is an absolute nightmare and each class is only 5 weeks, what in god’s name am I supposed to learn in just 5 weeks? For every single class? I’m convinced none of these people know what they’re doing. Not to mention the tuition eats at all your financial aid so you barely get any back, if any with the way these delays are going, and because you only take 1 class at a time you only receive financial aid in increments rather than a lump sum. I could go on and on about how awful this school is but there simply aren’t enough hours in the day so I’ll stop there. But please if you’re thinking about starting classes here, think again!

I have enjoyed the class.

The software is user friendly, there was so much support staff along the way, most professors answered questions and provided feedback with genuine guidance and grace. Working full time while having a family to tend to and being in the program was rough, but all the support made it possible!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at University of Phoenix. I understand that policies and procedures are necessary, but emergency aid should not be based strictly on first-come, first-served when students are experiencing genuine financial emergencies. Each situation should be reviewed based on urgency and need.

I was asked to provide documentation for my emergency-aid request, but I was told screenshots are not accepted. This is extremely frustrating because if the information is available electronically, students need a reasonable way to submit it. If screenshots are not acceptable, the school should clearly explain what alternatives are accepted and make the process practical for students.

I am also extremely frustrated with my excess funds. I was originally supposed to receive my disbursement on August 13th, but I am now being told that I may not even receive an update until September 23rd. That is far too long to wait when a student is already struggling financially. Rent, food, utilities, transportation, and other necessities do not stop while financial aid is being reviewed.

I have only been attending University of Phoenix since February, and this experience has made me feel like my situation does not matter. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking to be heard, treated with compassion, and given reasonable consideration during a genuine financial emergency.

I was warned by many people not to attend this college, but I chose to make my own decision and give University of Phoenix a chance. Unfortunately, I now understand why I was warned. I am currently looking into transferring to another college—one that will value its students, listen to their circumstances, and understand that behind every financial-aid request is a real person trying to stay in school and build a better future.

I sincerely hope University of Phoenix takes this feedback seriously. Students deserve more than policies and waiting periods. We deserve to feel heard, supported, and cared about when we are going through difficult times.

The program itself has been very easy to follow, and my experience with the professors has been great. The instructors are supportive, understanding, and willing to help when you have questions. That is definitely a huge plus for the University of Phoenix. A +for that department.

My biggest concern has been with the Financial Aid Office. There seems to be a lack of clear communication and explanation when students have questions or concerns about their financial aid. Responses can feel very general instead of actually addressing the specific situation, and there is very little effort to call students and discuss complicated issues directly. Students find out later by email or letter and it’s so general that students do not know what had just occurred. Also, verbiage used to write responses can be better it’s almost accusatory or derogatory and deflecting on a student when they are asking for further clarifications. Financial aid can already be stressful and confusing, so having someone take the time to explain the options, answer questions, and make sure students actually understand what is happening would make a huge difference. It’s financial aid so we as Students have to pay that back. I felt like I was treated very poorly, made me feel like I'm using the system when asking to clarify where funds went and why? What are these extra charges? Explain five plus one benefit? Etccc…. At the end of the day this is our money and we, STUDENTS, are paying for our education, weather it got here form federal loans or private! I give them a BIG FAT 0 in that department! Pls do better! You’re dealing with people’s finances!

Overall, I really enjoy my program and have had a positive academic experience. I just believe the Financial Aid Office could greatly improve its communication and student support.

Amazing masters program, every faculty member was absolutely brilliant and willing to help students anytime.

Great school, wonderful staff

What made my experience great was the teachers were very knowledgeable in their field and that helped me to get a better understanding of the class. My favorite was the feedback given. This help me to prepare for the next week lesson. Also, teachers gave suggestions on things to add to your writing to help it be more meaningful. Everyone played a part in my success such as advisor, financial aid workers, and even tech support. I learned many things in the program and this helped to create a great start.

When I tell you that team is amazing like they keep a check on my sure you stay on task they also give you all the tool you need in or to succeed during your program studies!!

Love my program!

I really enjoy the class sizes and how manageable the assignments are. Since each class is only six weeks long, the workload is not too rigorous and feels like just the right amount to manage. However, the Financial Aid Department has been very slow in processing funding and payments. It seems that with each class, they are getting further behind in processing financial aid. Overall, my experience so far has been pretty good, and I am satisfied with the program despite the delays with financial aid.

Overall I enjoy learning different types of courses. I give this school 10👍

I started the process by simply hearing ads on the radio and Instagram. I needed that extra push to get m going- the whole starting process was simple and any questions the admin team was there to help me along the way. I really liked the 1 course 6 weeks schedule. This worked really well for a full time employee mom of2 and husband who also worked full time. The courses were challenging but I had real life experience and I was able to meet life long friends through this program. I never took a break during my masters program and finished in the 18 months. This not only gave me more personal confidence but also in the workplace. I was reaching out to start projects or make changes that would help. I can 100% say that I'm so happy to have gone through UoP and be an alumni.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I wanted to get my math classes done first. I was very nervous about this but the zybooks and all of the resources are helping me get through it. The instructors are very active and helpful.

I did not get anything from this school besides debt! I was told I would get financial aid and would not have a school loan I'd have to worry about in the future which I didn't receive! I attended school for 6 months and all the assignments that I had were short videos which were not useful and writing assignments about the 2 minute long videos each week. We were not provided books which are essential for learning medical billing and coding. So in my experience I did not receive the education I am in debt for and now have to go elsewhere to gain the knowledge to take the exam to become a medical biller.

Have enjoyed this college so far. The instructors and staff are great, and they're always there to help you when you have questions. The only problem I'm seeing is that I am having my employer pay for my college, and that information does not get sent to them in a timely manner, but it will get worked out
