A better alternative to other banks in Peru

Banco Pichincha is a better alternative to the other larger banks in Peru.

When shopping for a bank account after moving to Lima, the Pichincha staff were the only ones who actually knew the laws for a foreigner to open an account.

The other banks all just made up random things and stated them as legal fact. And they all had different views and none of the others were accurate. So I opened an account at Pichincha. And I'm so glad I did!

The service is lightyears better at Pichincha. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and very well trained.

The service is quick. Most likely because the staff are well trained and can deal with any enquiry quickly. Unlike other Peruvian banks.

The locations are all convenient and the rates are more than competitive. As are the range of products and services that Banco Pichincha offers in Peru.

The only place I could fault Banco Pichincha in Peru is that they have no digital cards for 'tap & go'. They need to add Apple Pay or Google Pay functionality to their cards. With that added functionality, this would be the perfect bank!
