The material is dated and horribly misogynistic. Nonetheless, the Pimsleur method is great. I have subscribed off and on for many years, spending hundreds of dollars. My dad died and I asked them to refund only one month despite not having used it for several. They said no.
This us by far the best language learning program that I have used. After failing to learn Japanese with Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, JapanesePod 101, and Jumpspeak, Pimsluer’s approach and full review and practice functions helped me bridge the gap between Dnglish and Japanese. Also I never had any subscriptions issues but perhaps that is because I used Apple’s services to subscribe.
I contacted customer service to confirm the price prior to purchasing, they assured me of one price but they charged my card a completely different price. It was over $100 more. Since January I've tried contacting them several times, they write back twice, different 'customer representatives' and then they do not respond after that. They will not give you a refund so don't trust what they have said on their website. AVOID this company!
Over-charging customers. I gladly paid the total of $9.95 but now 2 month later i see a charge from them for $64.99. I didn't signup for any services from them and didn't receive any other products or services so cant believe they charged a second time.
