Very disappointed with my experience…
Very disappointed with my experience with Centre Porsche Lauzon and the lack of support from Porsche Cars Canada regarding my certified 2023 Porsche Cayenne purchased in 2024 and maintained exclusively within the Porsche network.
My vehicle suffered a major electrical failure caused by water intrusion. Before a complete diagnostic was even performed to determine the true source of the issue, I was informed that the warranty would not apply.
Since they still do not know the actual source of the water intrusion, I was given the “hypothesis” that I had probably driven with the trunk open in the rain, which is completely ridiculous and false. Even though this was only speculation and no final technical conclusion had been reached, the warranty was still denied.
I was also told that an important electronic component located in the rear of the vehicle was detached from its original position and sitting in water, causing the failure. Yet instead of considering that this could be due to a defect, installation issue, or another problem related to the vehicle itself, they quickly implied that I was responsible — without clear proof — despite the fact that all maintenance on the vehicle has always been performed by Porsche.
What is even more concerning is that I was also informed that this section of the vehicle was not even part of the inspections performed during the Porsche Certified inspection process before the sale. So even though the vehicle was sold to me as “Porsche Certified,” they cannot even confirm whether this issue or condition may have already existed beforehand.
After doing some research, I also discovered that several Porsche owners appear to have experienced similar situations involving water intrusion and warranty denials, where responsibility was quickly shifted onto the owner despite the many possible causes of these types of issues.
What is most disappointing is the complete lack of support and customer service despite this being a luxury vehicle that cost a significant amount of money. My vehicle has been immobilized for weeks, I received no meaningful follow-up from Porsche Canada, no proper support, and no courtesy vehicle.
I was also very surprised to receive an email referring to an “outstanding invoice,” even though no invoice had ever been clearly presented to me beforehand, I had signed nothing, and I had specifically stated that I did not want any repairs or replacements performed before a complete analysis and warranty determination were made.
I was also told that I first had to pay for the replacement of the damaged electronic component if I wanted them to continue diagnosing the source of the water intrusion — which is the original issue that caused this entire situation in the first place. I found this approach extremely disappointing and disrespectful toward a customer who purchased a certified vehicle and maintained it within the Porsche network.
Today, I have completely lost trust. I feel like I got scammed. I purchased a Porsche Certified vehicle specifically for peace of mind and the assurance that if a major issue occurred, the vehicle and warranty would be handled properly. Instead, I am left with an immobilized vehicle suffering from a major electrical failure and a denied warranty before a complete analysis of the true source of the issue was even performed.
I sincerely wonder if other Porsche owners have experienced similar situations involving water intrusion, electrical issues, or warranty denials.
If so, feel free to contact me.
MACAN E- BEWARE!
Purchased one of the first Macan E's. I have to say the brand has gone downhill with their attitude to quality & efficiency.
5 cars in now & this model is appalling. It has had issues since the first month of owning & still Porsche cannot get it right. So many 'IT' issues that keep on returning.
The Sat Nav system is not fit for purpose & all Porsche can recommend is to use your phone's system for navigating from A-B.
Such a frustrating car that still causes problems. I have lost confidence in driving it due to not knowing what will go wrong next!
Only talked yesterday with one of their'Pro's' to rectify yet another issue & immediately afterwards the car reverted back to the original problem!
Porsche have lost their reputation for a quality brand & certainly cannot back up their customer service with anything positive.
A harsh review I'm afraid but with total frustration with this car & what appears to be very little to help, others should know about this brand. There are far superior cars out there in competition.
I bought a used Porsche through the…
I bought a used Porsche through the official Porsche channel because I expected better quality control and more peace of mind.
Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. I have only owned the car for around three months, but in reality I have only been able to drive it for a few days because it has had to go back for repairs multiple times.
So far, two wheel speed sensors at the bottom have already been replaced. The car also has a noticeable jerking issue when driving, and the technician told me it may be related to the transfer case. On top of that, the left side mirror no longer folds properly.
I understand that a used car can have some issues, but this is not what I expected from an officially sold Porsche. The number of faults in such a short time makes me seriously question the quality control and inspection standards before the car was sold.
I chose Porsche because I trusted the brand, especially when buying through the official channel. But after repeated repairs and very limited actual driving time, I honestly feel disappointed and concerned about the reliability of the car.
Very disrespectful customer support
Very disrespectful customer support. We talked to Kai at Porsche Financial Services, and she was so rude and with attitudes. She doesn't know what she is talking about and I have never seen such a customer support with such attitudes . I got a car for $140k and they treat us this way. She was repeating you can't take the vehicle in Canada for travel from USA read page 3 in the contract (we still have 2 year to pay of the loan fo the car). I read the contract and it says that-We can't take the vehicle outside of USA and Canada, means we can travel to Canada. We talked to other lady from customer support and she said no problem you can travel to Canada from USA. Called today Kai at Porsche Financial Services said the other lady is wrong and we can't take the vehicle for travel from USA to Canada and with such attitudes.
absolute rip off wanting £23 per month…
absolute rip off wanting £23 per month to subscribe to Porsche connect so i can check how many miles my car has left on electric range.
No Notification On Possibility of Late Pay
I have a lease account. I recently set up auto pay. Somehow I missed a payment when I set it up. I now have a 30 day late on my credit and never received any call, email, nothing to let me know. That's pretty bad customer service. I'll take my responsibililty in not looking close enough but no call or anything from Porsche is pretty sad.
5 years old & needs a new engine "get rid on we buy any car!"
5 years old. 58,000 miles. Full Porsche service history. New engine required.
Our Cayenne — maintained properly, serviced on time, every stamp in the book — has been told it needs a complete engine replacement. The quote? £30,000. That's effectively the market value of the car.
Porsche's Bournemouth mechanics and their own staff acknowledged this is not wear and tear. Yet Porsche UK's response was to offer 50% contribution — and to have one of their own staff suggest I "get rid on We Buy Any Car." I refused. I wasn't prepared to knowingly pass a faulty car to an unsuspecting buyer.
This is not my first experience of a serious Porsche failure. My previous Cayenne suffered a £9,000 technical fault. I stayed loyal. I shouldn't have.
❌ The car has been sitting at Porsche since February with no proactive communication.
❌ Porsche have failed to honour their legal obligation under a Subject Access Request — the statutory one-month deadline has passed with no response.
❌ Legal proceedings are now underway.
If you are considering purchasing a Porsche, please factor in what happens when things go wrong. Based on my experience — twice over — the answer is: very little.
I am sharing this publicly because I believe consumers deserve to know.
Terrible support from Porsche central for engine failure
Terrible support and customer service from Porsche central. I had engine failure on 6 year old macan with 45,000 miles. Porsche wanted £36k for the engine and offered £4,500 towards it giving me a £31,500 bill. They made the rubbish 3 litre petrol engine that has bore scoring and have taken no responsibility for it. I will never buy another one.
Lazy sods parking their cars when not charging in the EV. Charging bays and the app doesn’t work
Visited the Porsche Centre in Sheffield to use their EV charger. Only one space left because of the lazy sods that had parked their Porsche in the other for the bank holiday weekend and then the app is useless and doesn’t work as they say. Gave up and went to IKEA. Crap
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I had a problem charging my car - the car, octopus and charger app all trying to take control of charging resulting in the car not charging at all. I emailed all 3 (Porsche, Octopus, Anderson) on the same email and only heard back from Anderson who have been excellent and helped me to solve my problem.
The Porsche’s was creating random schedules far in the future that prevents the car from charging when you need.
Thank you for getting in touch and helping me with my problem - not! Will be switching for sure.
Would have expected better
My review is not about a service it’s design fault I am very disappointed with.I bought a Macan electric loved the car until one day. When I tried to open the flap to insert the charging cable. The flap would not open so I rang the dealer who I bought the car from expecting to be told how to override the electric security. No override had to get touch with Porsche assistance. So I am left feeling very vulnerable to this happening again when I could be anywhere in the country. One would expect better from a brand such as Porsche.
Dreadful service from Porsche Centre…
Dreadful service from Porsche Centre Hatfield and Porsche Cars.
My Taycan that is now eighteen months old has had a serious problem with the satnav and charging programme since August 2025.
The problem occurred after Hatfield carried out a software upgrade following a recall.
They have tried to rectify the issue without success.
The car can be charged at home, but long journeys are impossible.
Both Porsche Customer Care and Porsche Hatfield continue to give excuses but are unable to resolve the issue.
They are also unwilling to provide a loan car.
Unfortunately, the route is now legal action.
Not the service you would expect from a premium brand.
My friends that are drivers of BMW and Mercedes cannot believe how bad the Porsche service and customer care is.
If you are considering a Porsche which is already an expensive brand i would advise that you factor in the costs of the following.
1, A spare car to use.
2, Solicitors fees.
3, Possible court costs.
4, the lost time and distress.
You spend over a 100k on a new car…
You spend over a 100k on a new car which is currently being built then you receive some bullshit email saying the German factory are experiencing supply issues with adaptive air suspension so we can only provide steel spring suspension with PASM. Yet another company which is a complete joke and should sack the higher management and start again, Complete disagree...Shame on you
Porsche assist is Complete waste of time
Complete waste of time. Uninterested staff verging on unfit for purpose. When my Porsche broke down they sent the ‘wrong recovery vehicle’ and loading the car onto this could result in damage to the under carriage. They asked if they could proceed. When I declined they informed me the correct recovery vehicle would take between 3 to 4 hours and could they leave the keys in the car unattended.
Complete joke - farcical and simply rubbish customer service. Porsche Portsmouth short staffed and undergoing a refurb so Cannot give a time scale for when I can expect the vehicle back. Feel ripped off by the service and standards. What a let down!
Porsche Wolverhampton - ongoing shocking after sales service standards
Porsche Wolverhampton - the worst 3 years of my life owning a car. After sales service remains shocking, no one contacts you about feedback when you’re asked for it so nothing improves. Trying to book a car in for a repair takes endless back and forth calls as there appears to be just one person able to book the appointment. Ridiculous. Cant wait for the car to finish the lease and I’ll spend my money with a different brand that cares. I think the overall rating here is reflective of the brands care for its clients - for the premium price the only thing good is the cars performance…. The service standards are at the opposite end of the experience - buyers beware!
One of the worst experience
One of the worst experience, I am having trying to reach somebody on customer service. I have no idea how Porsche got that far.
I purchased a Porsche Taycan Turbo S…
I purchased a Porsche Taycan Turbo S with approximately 4,000 miles. The vehicle is currently at 24,338 miles and remains within the manufacturer’s warranty period.
While on a road trip through Europe and Morocco, the vehicle suffered a suspension failure after encountering what I would describe as a minor pothole at approximately 70–80 km/h. There was no visible wheel damage and no external body damage. Nevertheless, the driver-side suspension failed and the car became undriveable.
I contacted Porsche Road Assistance in Spain and waited over 16 hours for recovery. The vehicle was transported to Porsche Marbella. It then took three days to be provided with a courtesy car.
Before full diagnostics were communicated to me, I was informed that the repair would not be covered under warranty, as it was being classified as “impact damage.” I respectfully questioned this conclusion, given the absence of wheel or structural damage and the relatively minor nature of the road condition encountered.
Subsequently, I was also informed that a night vision system error would not be covered under warranty, again attributed to the same alleged impact. There was no frontal collision or visible front-end damage. The vehicle had no night vision issues prior to this suspension incident.
In the end, I was required to pay for the repairs.
My concern is not simply the cost, but the principle. A premium vehicle at this price point, marketed as capable of real-world driving conditions, should reasonably withstand normal road imperfections without major component failure. Additionally, the recovery response time and communication process were not consistent with the level of service typically associated with a brand of this stature.
I am sharing this to document my experience as it occurred. I hope Porsche reviews its handling of similar cases to ensure greater transparency and consistency for customers in the future.
Took my vehicle in for service at Porsche Brooklands
Took my vehicle in for service at Porsche Brooklands. They performed roof drain test, put water where drain was blocked which in turn caused water to travel to my speakers. Speakers ended up wet in their care and now not working. They held no accountability sticking to the story of ‘blocked roof drains can cause speakers to corrode over time’ even though I keep my vehicle in a garage….. not the first issue with this centre, previously had issues with tailgate when they replaced my rear screen (left bits of glass inside tailgate which were heard when opening and closing and couldn’t lock into place properly). Dishonest and incompetent. Will not be going back or buying a vehicle from them.
Amazing service at sheffield
Amazing service . I brought my car here in sheffield for a lightbulb change and sidelight.
They rang me later on that day and said its been done free of charge as it was a loose connection only . How kind is that from such a big company such as porshe. Thankyou very much porshe. Great stuff 👏
Porsche isn’t worth it
Today, February 4t 2026 marks the 3rd month anniversary that my 2023 Panamera 4S has been at the dealership.
Bought the car brand new on October of 2023.
The car has only less than 18k miles and 3 months ago I dropped it off at the dealership because it was running very rough.
They have already taken down the transmission and that wasn’t the issue.
They have ripped the engine apart and that wasn’t the issue.
In conclusion, they don’t have a clue what is causing the problem and in the meantime I’m inconvenienced without the car that I paid $130k+.
Their customer service in Michigan totally sucks. They simply don’t care about the customer.
This is my second but this will be my last Porsche.
Now I know why Porsche is in trouble worldwide and it’s because they don’t care about the customers and the quality of their cars have gone downhill.
Stay away from Porsche unless you want to be treated like you bought a YUGO.
