Double tri-focal lens replacement
I had a double tri-focal lens replacement through JL Ocni Klinika in Prague on 8th Oct 2026. From the start of the process to the finish my experience has been exceptional. I initially went to a UK company but thought the cost was too expensive so decided to research going abroad to have the procedure. I thoroughly researched different options and decided on using Praga Medica who i believe are an intermediary company who arrange the appointmennts with the medical centre, There is extensive information on their website and anything you don't understand or want more information on you can just google or contact the consultant abroad rep who you deal with. I checked reviews on their site and trustpilot. All gave me the confidence to complete the no-obligation on-line form. You just need to supply your current prescription details.
Within a couple of days, a treatment recommendation and price came back through Praga Medica . Less than 1/2 the UK cost. You can ask as many questions as you like. If you are happy, you request available dates to suit you. After confirming a date you pay a small deposit. You can then book your flights and accom. The rep can recommend hotels and can book these. We decided on an Airbnb in the old town. The rep will also arrange free transport from the airport to your accom, your first appointnent and back to the airport. You have a translator/chaperone throughout your appointments. The medical staff at JL Ocni are 1st class and very professional. My visit went like clockwork with no snags. Both eyes were completed in 20 mins in the morning. By the evening once the eye ointment had worn off i was reading without glasses. At the next day post-op check-up and eye cleanse, i could read the smallest print.
We had 5 days in Prague so treated it also as a break-away. I would highly recommend using Praga Medica if you are looking to have treatment abroad. I would like to thank my rep, Zuzana, for all her help.

Uppereye surgery
Arrived in prague picked up at airport taken to hotel everything went smoothly got a upper eye surgery on the tuesday 13/10/26. Surgeon very nice and explained everything was escorted up to get surgery was in for 40 mins the level of hygiene was magnificent and aftercare was brilliant. Would not hesitate going back for further procedures and highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a procedure. Staff where fab and hotel was lovely.

Grateful in London
While I contacted three different clinics — including the NHS option in London — and was (very) eagerly immediately offered surgery dates by two of them, I ultimately chose Praga Medica to arrange my cataract surgery.
From the very first communication, to the final e-mails once I arrived back in London, Praga Medica have been first-class: reliable, prompt, precise, and efficient.
For example: when my driver was not at the arrivals area after I spent a long time clearing customs, Praga Medica were immediately contactable (on a Sunday, no less) and swiftly coordinated my ride to my hotel.
My cataract case was complex; and I had the extreme good fortune to have been assigned Kate to handle my arrangements. Thank you so much for everything, Kate. I am very grateful to you.
Now, what set Praga Medica far apart from the other two options was the fact that Kate told me that, due to my particular and long ocular history, there was a chance the surgeon would elect NOT to perform the surgery. The other two clinics were very eager to proceed despite lacking incredibly critical information: I had severe myopia with astigmatism, and had undergone LASIK surgery decades ago; which meant ensuring a satisfactory visual outcome without past records was more involved. I was extremely impressed with the fact that Praga Medica felt my visual goals were more important than pressuring me to agree to the earliest surgery date possible.
While the option I had researched and ultimately chose was not initially offered, by working with my London optometrist and Kate, I was told the option I desired would be considered if the pre-operative exam in Prague showed I was a candidate — which I happily was.
I am so grateful that both Kate and the consulting doctor in Prague took the time to consider and work with me to get the result I wanted. While I am still slowly healing, I am very hopeful, and very pleased with my results thus far; and am so very glad I chose Praga Medica. I booked the airport transport and pre-operative exam translation package (note: do double check the details regarding which trips are included, as the package was changing when I was there) and can absolutely recommend Praga Medica as well in this regard.
In closing: I will say Praga Medica were most excellent in their role at coordinating all aspects of my surgery, and made traveling alone to an unfamiliar city — where I didn’t know the language — for an important medical procedure very smooth and efficient. Highly recommended.

Genuine feedback, just returned!!
Having just returned from their facility partners in Prague, i cannot recommend them highly enough. Throughout the whole process, from initial assessment to tests in the clinic, to the final surgeries and checks, they were absolutely brilliant. The quality of care was exceptional. And being very nervous of having replacement lenses, they were very kind and supportive throughout.
If you are considering having the same procedure, i suggest you contact them!
Both myself and my wife had the lens replacement surgeries and both can report being 100% happy with the service and aftercare.
A very rare 10/10 from us!

Wowwwwww just wowwww … I am a vulnerable person looked at Turkey time and time again , had a few consultations wasn’t entirely happy had some minor concerns , My friend recommended Prague Medica group (perfect Clinic) so first step with Nadia no language barrier no pressure very professional ,super friendly and I felt she took my medical concerns as a priority….. Nadia spoke to my surgeon whom recommended the surgery required, I then had a video consultation where I asked questions raised some concerns regarding my health issues , Dr Katrina Fajtova (surgeon) advised me of what was necessary and for my needs … I felt completely at ease and trusted my surgeon immediately… so today I had lower bleph and mid cheek lift under a local too say I’m completely blown away is an under statement sooooo happy , I feel amazing I walked back to my hotel from the theatre 😍 accompanied by the lovely Nadia which wasn’t needed but appreciated….. I can not recommend Orague Medica e enough !!!! Infact my friends back in UK are booking in after seeing my video after being in theatre an hour after ! Best thing we ever decided on!
My wife and I both had Refractive Lens Exchange surgery at the clinic in Prague last week and I can only say that the whole process of using Praga Medica for this surgery was incredible.
The staff who arrange the appointments, transfers, accommodation and interpreters were impeccably helpful, nothing was too much for them and they bent over backwards to make the process as easy as possible.
The interpreters who attend the clinic with you and look after you during your stay were equally fantastic as were all of the staff at the clinic, with a special mention to Clara, who we loved, she went above and beyond to help us including setting up the public transport app on my phone for me and spending the time to tell me how it all worked! The public transport in Czechia is unbelievably good too!
The surgeons who carried out the operations were fantastic and the aftercare is great too. I now have better than 20/20 vision which should hopefully last the remainder of my lifetime.
I was worried about trusting my eyesight to the care of surgeons in another country but after the fact I would absolutely 100% recommend Praga Medica to anybody considering having this surgery they were brilliant and the process was seamless and well rehearsed, the results are amazing.

They arranged Taxi pickup at airport on arrival pickup at hotel next morning for consultion and eye examination for best possible lens for your eyes they also have translaters on several langagues found this very helpfull The procdure takes app. ten min per eye no pain at all which amaized me and the next day is so amazing at how good your eyesight is. I have no hesitation in recomnding this company 5 stars all the way .
