Very disappointed
Very disappointed. My 3rd time here. Each time the room has had AC issues. Last time, a few weeks ago, AC in the room would not get warmer than 21C. This week in a different room, I woke late at night and the room was very hot. My phone app showed 29C. Called the desk, they said they would send an engineer. 15 minutes later, no engineer. Called again and asked for a room change. No response. I tried to reset the unit, off for a few minutes, then back on. No help. No one contacted me or came to the room. Finally I figured out it only worked at 21C or below. Took aver an hour. No one from the desk called or came. Next issue: When checking in, they took a deposit for room damage because it was a non-smoking room, from what I was told. All rooms are non-smoking, so do they do this to everyone? Deposit of nearly $200, or 5600 THB. I was told it was only on hold, and would be returned on checkout. Did not happen. It was sent to my bank card. Now I have to wait 3 to 5 days for a refund, but I will also have to pay exchange rates. I was basically lied to. When I mentioned the AC at checkout, I was given a "sorry", with no explanation as to why no one showed. I was on a floor that was basically empty but for one other occupied room. It would have taken one minute to get me another room. Last time for me at this hotel. It is close to where I have to be, but now I will have to travel further out.
