I’m so angry I thought I did my research I even asked Shopify for help and I still got scammed by QRcodemonkey I bought all my business cards and the code is deactivated. I am so angry. I’m going to throw all my business cards away and start over with a reputable company. Screw them. Don’t use them.

Absolute Scam... Free to create code but then if you click the "Get started link" points you to set up on another website QR Code Generator... (Look them up on Trust Pilot) Everything seems to be free but then they cancel you after 7 days so if you have printed this on media they are no longer scannable...

originally it was free to create the QR code and then after some days when we scanned the code, it led us to a random page and asked us for money. We printed the QR code on our materials and had to reprint everything. It was easy to create and everything but IT IS NOT FREE !!!!!!!!!! SCAM!!!!!

It is a great thing to start with and it all worked and looked great. Easy to use and design etc. However, when I got stuff printed with it on, it now doesn't work. It sends the use to the QRCode Monkey site.

I can't find contact information, I don't even have an option to pay to 'unlock' it!

I tried qrcodemonkey as recommended by a scientific conference organizer in order to make a QR code. After making the code the website asked me to register for a free trial. What I didn't notice was that this was a hidden add for qr code generator a site that seem to be a complete scam machine. I have tried to cancel my free subscription, but I can't reply to their email and I can't find contact info.

I created QR codes with your service under the impression they were free and functional.
Now my dynamic QR codes are disabled without warning, which caused me to spend over $60 on professional flyers that no longer work.
This constitutes false advertisement and failure to disclose that free dynamic QR codes will be deactivated.

I am requesting:

1. A refund for the losses incurred (or a free temporary reactivation to salvage my flyers)

2. Clarification on your misleading free plan policy

If I do not receive a resolution, I will file a complaint with the BBB and FTC for deceptive business practices.

Not free, big scam

I want to give great credit to QRCode Monkey for the way this company does business. The work was easy and the best part is that my use was for a single time use and I was concerned about the potential cost to just do one QR code, but it was free and good permanently unlike some of the other companies that offer you a free QR code, then come back to you a week later and tell you it is no longer good. This is a great company experience.

They say they're, but when you finish your job, they ask you to registrate and then finally you discover after 15 days you need to upgrade

it is NOT free. The qr code was put inside my book. Supposedly free. After a few days it prompts me to pay. I couldn't pay and so now i have to pay someone to unpublish my book to insert a different qr code that I will be in search of somewhere else. Seriously QR monkey $240 a yr?!

Came here after using another site that scammed me... (aka QR generator and other sites that belong to the same company). QR Code Monkey does the job and is most importantly free, it creates a static QR and is not misleading. Thank you so much - I wish I found this site before.

I used to love QR code monkey and told everyone about this website. However, the last QR code I created "expired" and if I want it to continue to work I need to subscribe.
Now I am worried about all of the other QR codes I created from this website. This will be a lot of work wasted.
Not worth the gamble.

It's free ! Not an easy thing to find considering all the other Qr websites that use deceptive practices to make you pay subscriptions...

Free, without login, no scan limits, easy

I have been using this service for many years and the QR code that I made years ago is still active. I used the free version. It can customise colors, add logo, shapes and all.. It really good. Wish I could change the url later for few. I had used many other QR code generators and some got expired after a year and so. But this has been great till now. I just saw the bad reviews and thought I should share my views as well. Only when there is an issue, people usually write reviews.

Biggest Scam,

We generated a QR Code and printed it on our car - only for it to stop working after a month.

I made a code this January as an easy way for customers to get to my shop while I'm vending and it's still working perfectly fine! The past reviews were scaring me a bit, but I haven't had any issues. The customization is really simple and make the codes look real pretty.

Just don't do the supposedly "free" sign up for the statistics, since I feel that's where the scam comes in. Especially if you're a small business and know the link won't change anytime soon.

I think a lot of people's bad reviews are directed at another website of the same name without a 'dash' between qrcode and monkey. Their service is not 100% free.

I almost printed 8000 notebooks only to find out it reroutes to qrmonkeys website. It's such a scam
