Commission on VAT???
Products look good, website works properly and a lot of items.
I can agree on the fact that VAT is not included but I really don't like the fact that Commission cost is calculated on the total cost (item cost + VAT) and not just on the net cost.
Poor after sales support regarding transportation and loading.
The staff is amazing
The staff is amazing, the bid process is simple and easy to understand, and the products are exactly what they said they are. If you like auctions, this is one of the best!
This was my second time purchasing…
This was my second time purchasing through a Ritchie Brothers auction, and my first time using the timed online format last week. The support I received was excellent. Every email and phone call helped me confirm my paperwork trail so nothing was confusing for me, and nothing became frustrating for the team processing my documents. They guided me through payment, site access for pickup, and everything else I needed.

Richie Bros makes it easy to use their web site and can always find the equipment that we need
Financial Scam
The bidding is simple but dealing with any financing personal is horrible. They make no effort to resolve issues and actually hang up on people. We wanted a payoff letter and never received it. Do not use any of their banks worst company ever. Also you are expected to pay all interest for the entire life of the loan even if you are paying off within a year.

My experience with Ritchie Bros has…
My experience with Ritchie Bros has been excellent. The platform is easy to use, the auction listings are detailed, and there is always a wide variety of equipment and vehicles available to fit different needs and budgets.
One of my favorite parts of the auction experience is the excitement of bidding and winning. There is a genuine thrill in competing for an item you've researched and securing it at a price you're happy with. It's a process that keeps you engaged from start to finish.
Another highlight for me is picking up the items I've won. Seeing the equipment in person and knowing you've successfully added it to your fleet, business, or project is very rewarding. I've also found the staff to be professional and helpful throughout the process, making transactions smooth and efficient.
Overall, Ritchie Bros has become one of my preferred auction platforms because of its selection, transparency, ease of use, and the excitement it brings to every auction. I look forward to participating in future auctions and would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase equipment with confidence.
Unacceptable 1-year delay on paperwork…
Unacceptable 1-year delay on paperwork and delivered non-functional equipment
"I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Ritchie Bros. I have been waiting for ONE YEAR now to receive the Italian de-registration paperwork for a 2008 HAMM HD14 Tandem Roller (lot 109). Because of this severe administrative delay, I cannot issue license plates or use the machine in Greece, leaving my capital completely trapped.
To make matters worse, a 2016 NIFTY-LIFT HR12DE 4WD MK1B Boom Lift (lot 750) that I purchased was delivered 80% non-functional, despite looking good in the auction photos.
This is completely unprofessional. I demand that customer service contacts me immediately to resolve the paperwork issue for the HAMM roller and address the sub-par condition of the Nifty-Lift. Do not buy unless you want to risk waiting for years to get your legal documents."
UPDATE:
I contacted Ritchie Bros. Italy and this was their official response regarding the broken Nifty-Lift (Lot 750):
"As per Ritchie Bros. policy, we only describe the lots as they are and we do not replace any missing parts... we cannot help you regarding your compensation request."
As for the HAMM Roller (Lot 109), they only remembered to send the de-registration paperwork now, after ONE FULL YEAR of delay.
My reply to them was clear:
Selling a machine 'as is' is one thing, but delivering an 80% non-functional unit while using misleading auction photos is deception. Furthermore, keeping my capital trapped for 12 months due to your paperwork delay has caused me severe financial loss. I will NOT remove this 1-star review. Future buyers, be aware!
2020 Hino 258 rollback truck
Was my first shopping from RitchieBros, California Paris auction 2020 Hino 258 rollback truck and there inspection sheet RitchieBros mentioned that the transmission is working when I receive my delivery in Canada Toronto the transmission was damaged while changing from first gear to second gear was giving big cranking sound when I check from my local mechanic will find out that the transmission is damaged inside and now I have to spend $15-$18,000 to change the transmission assembly that was my first shopping and was really bad experience. I had to planning to do always business with RitchieBros but now I am not satisfied to do another time business.

OVER CHARGED WITH FEES!!
OVER CHARGED WITH FEES!!! A$25.00 ITEM COST ME $135.79 OUT THE DOOR!!!! AND THEN THEY TOLD ME IT WAS FOR FAIRNESS!!!!
Ritchie' salesmen part of the sham
Ritchie' salesman that suggested I sell my equipment with Ritchie was purely a 'salesman'; used last minute pressure. He had forgotten having quoted me 10% fee on the sale of my equipment 2 months before; he offered to email me a confirmation that the 13.5% would be reduced to 10%, but could only be changed after the auction i.e when its all done and over with: can you imagine dealing a week later??? Then Ritchie's contract was not shown to me until my equipment was dropped at the auction in Georgetown Ontario: how do you like having 'your pants down' when negotiating???Then it took three days before the auction to show and list the particulars of what I had spend on the equipment to improve the machine, so potential buyers would see the cost of all new undercarriage. They put my machine beside other machines in poor shape. They refused to update the data with information about separate attachments until 'last minute' which was part of the latest information of all upgrades done to the machine.
