I never sub'd for it but I got emails summarizing my private talks with lawyers, tax and financial advisors.
How tf they suddenly know all my private talks, accounts banks and stuff? Fck that! I didn't sign up for it! No more zoom or gmeet with anyone I guess? Will install my own private videocall servers.

It seems once anyone in the call has it, everyone on the call gets infected (they source all emails and fire out).

I would have physically challenged their CEO if we lived in the same country. What a privacy break in!

And then once you want to delete your account (one you never had!) you have to go through onboarding and share all your calendar data (!!) just to get to the delete button. Account is deleted within 30 days, all this time they have fckn access to all my data in the google account unless you do geep in googles guts to find how to clear them out.

What a new low!

Don't touch it

I installed it to read an associates message, but that was a ploy on ReadAI's part. I didn't need to do that, Now I can't get rid of it. I have followed all the instructions I can find on it. Deleted everything I can not just disabled it. It follows me into Zoom and Teams meetings. I may have to abandon my Gmail account because of it.

ReadAi is a malware that you will never ever get rid of if you install it. Their support does not help and you will be stuck with this assistant the rest of your life in all meetings. It should be illigal.

Basically malware

Basically malware. It tries to brute force its way into my meetings and confuse my clients into thinking that I authorized the recording. They have made purchases, and I have had to tell them that I didn't authorize it.

Scummy business model

I subscribed for the Enterprise version for one month which cost $29.75 and I used the service to transcribe and record my Zoom and Google Meet meetings.

The transcription and the recording worked well.

That being said, I would assume I would have access to the recordings I made during this subscribed period forever, but it seems one needs to have an active Enterprise subscription in order to access those recordings too.

I find that scummy business practice because I paid to have my meetings transcribed and recorded during that period and I should have access to the data forever.

Abusive and deceptive onboarding practice

This company has an abusive and deceptive onboarding process.

They send out emails from the poor users that are letting this malware into their lives with an innocent text "Access this meeting report" then force you to give full read write permissions to your calendar, automatically invite themselves to all of your meetings, sign you up for a 7 day pro trial and add me to AT LEAST 5 newsletters, plus whatever other notifications they hiding behind a secondary link with confusing terminology.

Then they leave it to you to mop up the mess and delete the account and say they cannot shut down the account for me, so I had to crawl through settings to make sure they were gone out of my meeting invites and all permissions revoked and read about their newsletters to be sure there was nothing lurking and no more gotchas.

I am terminally online for the last several decades and I've never had such a offensive experience than this. The calendar is personal, and meetings are where you represent your livelihood to the world. They have absolutely no business injecting themselves so intrusively into this without very clearly getting permission first.

I hope this company goes out of business.

Viral spywhere - without clearly making you consent, it grabs every meeting in your calendar and starts recording. Recorder doesn't identify who uses it.

This is the most frustrating software…

This is the most frustrating software I've ever had the misfortune of installing.

I've deleted my account and manually removed Read.ai from every meeting but it still manages to join, even when I haven't joined the meeting!

Must be malware, avoid.

The worst spammers in the world

The worst spammers in the world. They steal your email address, create an account for their useless product and then spam you to death. There is never an unsubscribe link in their emails. They are the worst kind of unethical people. Their executive leadership is totally clueless and needs to be fired.

more or less spyware with a pyramid…

more or less spyware with a pyramid scheme. 1) you make a call with A and without noticing are recorded by this bot 2) A sends you a report of the meeting you did. you never agreed to this but with the resume there is also a full recording. 3) you make an account to read the report and realize you have been recorded. You think A was rude and forget about it, but it wasn't A fault because... 4) the bot attaches automagically to all your calls and begins to record all your meetings without you even noticing, and perhaps even sending emails without your consent. It is incredible that this is admitted by microsoft. I doubt this is even legal in EU.
