Total disrespect of a professional's…
Total disrespect of a professional's time and zero corporate integrity.
I went through three intense rounds of interviews with leadership, had my professional references thoroughly vetted, and completed a full-day field ride-along. Despite receiving glowing feedback from the team and a direct phone confirmation from the Sales Director stating that the ride-along went perfectly and "everything went well," communication completely stalled. Management then completely deflected accountability, claimed "HR makes the final decision," and hid behind a generic, automated template rejection email less than 24 hours later.
To fast-track a candidate, tell them they did a great job over the phone, and then coward out by letting a computer system deliver a rejection is incredibly toxic and unprofessional behavior. If you value transparency, honest communication, and basic professional respect, look elsewhere. Absolute waste of time.
Disappointment by Andersen
The main positive of working with Renewal by Andersen was the quality of their installation crews. Unfortunately, because of severe logistical issues, we had the opportunity to meet far more of them than we ever should have.
We were initially told our job would be completed in one visit lasting perhaps two days. Instead, it took four visits over five days, dragged out over almost three months. Our experience included:
A single window randomly showing up for installation when we expected the entire order to be delivered.
The trim, which we had discussed extensively beforehand, being installed incorrectly. It had to be remade and refitted by a master craftsman (who was wonderful, but understandably bemused as to why he was even needed).
A window arriving in the wrong size—despite multiple preliminary measurement visits—and having to be remade.
The remade window arriving several weeks later, still the incorrect size. To top it all off, Andersen decided this window was a perfect opportunity to train a new (and very nice) apprentice on how to install windows, resulting in a 1-2 hour job becoming a 5-6 hour job. Did the team have any knowledge of the issues on our installation so far? Of course not.
Being fully charged for the job months before it was actually completed, despite explicit assurances that we would not be.
Having to repeatedly chase our “dedicated” customer service team just to schedule the final permit inspection so the job could be officially closed out.
The installers themselves were genuinely great—highly skilled, extremely careful in our home, and meticulous about minimizing dust. However, the customer service and project coordination were incredibly underwhelming, especially given the premium price Andersen charges. We concluded we would have been better off hiring a local company, and sadly came away feeling we received very poor value for money
No show for the appointment
No show for the appointment. No apology, No explanation, No excuses.
Craftsmanship not up to par
My elderly father recently decided to have my childhood home upgraded with windows.
It started off well with the salesman but quickly cascaded into disappointment when the job actually started.
With installation the first few days it seemed like they would actually be finished in the time they stated but then “truck” problems delayed the progress.
Two weeks later and the windows are at least installed but siding and trim and screens are still not finished.
The last 2 days 1 person has been here and seems to go missing for over an hour because they are “missing a tool”…
This was definitely not the craftsmanship I thought my Dad would be receiving from this company at the price he is paying for all the windows in his house
While our Renewal by Andersen sales…
While our Renewal by Andersen sales representative was kind, the company's pricing structure is an absolute joke. We received a quote of $18,000 just for a standard front door replacement. It is completely incomprehensible that a company attempts to charge this much and expects consumers to think it is normal. I highly recommend shopping around, because this was a massive rip-off!!!!
Buyer beware
Over charged us. Salesman promises not kept. Never again. Buyer beware
The worst company ever. They lied about habmving ther own installation. All of bull.
The worst company ever. My front door still show daylight. Shame on you. You had five people come to resolve it and none Of them could
Don't use them
Don't use them, very dishonest! We told them we had a pending offer on our house and might not need to spend money on replacing the window but gave them a deposit and to hold them to hold the order for a few days. Less than a week later we attempted to cancel since we sold our house and now they want to charge us a 20% cancelation fee!!
We thought we were paying for quality- and we were wrong.
We just had 6 windows and an 8’ patio door installed by Renewal by Anderson. I wish I would have read these reviews first. We are unhappy with all of it. The crap quality coming out of the factory and barely qualified installers. Anderson is replacing the patio door due to quality issues (thumbprint caulk in every corner, bad seams, bare metal, and the screen door cut is sloppy and overhangs the spline). The casement windows collect debris on the exterior between the sash and glass) etc. The weather stripping cuts are all rough and the debris sticks in the track).
We thought we were paying for quality and we were wrong. 😑
Don’t buy Renewal by Anderson windows.
I am getting fed up with this company
I am getting fed up with this company. I live in a desert environment I bought a 20k door and window project it is going on six months to replace a dm door handle… they’ve sent a technician out TWICE with the wrong handle. We bought the door and started the project in September of 2025 and it’s not going to fully be installed til August of 26? Tf kind of service is this for their insane price. Their technicians forgot to install my porch light and had to call them back to install that, they end up installing upside down. I am so f**i**g irritated burning my hand on 130 degree storm door just to enter my home… I am looking to sue at this point this is unacceptable
Total scam
Total scam. Proposed $5000 of work, we eventually had it done for $783. Go elsewhere.
These guys are a joke
Wanted a quote , I did my research prior and the salesman wanted to sit down with me for 90 minutes to justify these prices. I stated I just wanted a quote and I’ve done my research. He started to do the measurements and then came to me 15 minutes later stating that his boss told him not to give me a quote. I then Kicked him off my property.
This company is not trustworthy
This company is not trustworthy. Had a salesman come by for an estimate. It felt like I was being pushed into buying their product. Any how the wife was happy with the presentation. We proceed with replacing four hurricane windows. Well short story is that Renewal/Anderson counts each pane of glass as a window. This wasn’t told to us. So it was 8 windows that we paid over $30thousand for. UGH 😩. To top it off the salesman never informed us about that and we never heard from him again!!
So my review is I will never use or recommend this company.
We had a beautiful leaded glass entry…
We had a beautiful leaded glass entry door installed at our home in Mill Creek,Washington on June 19,2026. Our installers were Ryan Siegfried and Mark Mandell. The gentleman arrived at our home on time and prepared the work area to protect our home.
They were both very professional and friendly keeping us informed as the project progressed throughout and completed in a timely manner.
When the job was completed they did an excellent job cleaning up the area and making sure that all the debris from the project was cleared and loaded on their truck to be taken away. We were extremely impressed and very pleased with our new door and give both men a five star rating.
Horrific Experience
My wife and I hired Renewal by Andersen to replace two windows in our home: one in our bathroom and one in a spare bedroom.
A salesperson visited our home on March 28, 2026, and walked us through the product, installation process, and timeline. We agreed to proceed and signed a contract. About a week later, a technician came to take final measurements for the windows. Unfortunately, the project encountered serious problems after the final measurements were taken.
We waited the estimated 10–14 weeks for the windows to be manufactured and scheduled installation for June 18. When the installers arrived, one entered our backyard without introducing herself or speaking with us first. The second installer came to the front door, where my wife greeted him, and began inspecting the bedroom window. After taking measurements, he determined that the replacement window was approximately two inches too large. The installers then checked the bathroom window and found that replacement window was also too large.
Over the next couple of hours, there were multiple phone calls and discussions about whether modifications could be made to the window openings. Ultimately, it was determined that neither window could be installed, and the installers left without completing any work.
To make matters worse, after removing and reinstalling trim in the bathroom during their inspection, it was not properly secured, caulking was not reapplied to the seams, and debris was left on the floor. While mistakes can happen, I expected our home to be left in the same condition in which it was found.
Shortly afterward, customer service informed my wife that entirely new windows would need to be ordered, requiring another 10–14 week wait because it was "unlikely" our order could be prioritized in manufacturing.
This delay has also affected our contractor, who is renovating the bedroom. On June 22, he contacted our salesperson, seeking an update because the failed installation disrupted his schedule. He was told the project manager would contact him, but no one ever did. I also called Renewal by Andersen that same day and left my name and phone number requesting assistance. I never received a return call.
When project manager finally got back to me, I informed him I was heavily unsatisfied and that I would like to cancel the contract, fulling willing to negotiate and pay the 25% "late cancellation fee", to which I was informed that cancellation fee only applies for the last day of the free cancelation period, to the time the final measurement is done. The second the order has been placed, im on the hook for the entire order and supplies used to manufacture the window, even if it hasn't been build yet. This was mention on the contract no where.
Overall, this entire experience has be aggravating, disappointing and horrific. Between the incorrect measurements, failed installation, poor cleanup, lack of communication, the prospect of waiting several more months for windows that should have been manufactured correctly in the first place, the lack of willing to negotiate to evidently satisfied an disgruntled customer to which I technically am still. Our confidence and "trust" in this company is irreparable to this point. There are only two options I can see to make this situation satisfactory for myself and my wife.
Very organized approach to window replacement
Nick Dalton, Project Manager made measurements of my window replacement today. He was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. He gave me his card and told me to call if I any concerns. I am so excited about having my windows replaced after 30 years!
We used Andersen Renewal 3 times…
We used Andersen Renewal 3 times beginning on 2010. We paid thousands of dollars. Now the sashes have discolored on several windows. They want to charge us another $9000.00 to fix this. They have denied warranty on this. The customer service has been rude when reporting this problem. Buyer beware.
Stole Items From My House
The windows are nice and all, but the guys who installed them stole items from my house. I looked very thoroughly for a month and never found the missing things, such as a box of Japanese Pokemon cards and a vintage chain. These guys are criminals 😡 I don't even care much that they left a bit of a mess, but stealing is so wrong!
Anderson windows are j_ _k.
If Anderson windows are supposed to be so good then why do they sell renewal by Anderson, answer to put a second junky window on the market.
They both are not very good as a builder I will NEVER use either of them because they are not very good and Anderson NEVER lived up to there warranty. If renewal by Anderson is supposed to be so good then why SELL Anderson windows. Answer to sell double the junk .
Ordered a 96"x96" sliding door…
Ordered a 96"x96" sliding door replacement in December 2025. Install was late March, 2026. That door had a 10" scratch between the glass panes in a very noticeable location. Second replacement was scheduled for late MAY 2026, this replacement had a bent frame, jams during operation and latch sticks -- is worse than the scratched door. Now we're rescheduled for mid SEPTEMBER 2026 for more repairs -- Anderson lacks the parts.
I will not use Anderson again. The home's original sliding door was working better than what I have now and cost $12k less.
