I was late to collect the vehicle I booked via Rhino due to a medical emergency. The car was not available and I was sent to request help directly from Rhino. They refused to refund me for the entire duration of my rental term although no car was provided! Citing 'terms and conditions' they are effectively running a consumer scam.
Ordered a Mustang convertible for a day from Santa Barbara airport and paid £130 2 months before including additional insurance.
Arrived to be told the car was not available as it had not been returned from a rental the night before. The manager said they would cancel the booking as we specifically wanted a convertible.
I heard nothing regarding a refund so contacted Rhino’s customer service after a week. They have refused to pay a refund because we arrived at 9.30am instead of 9am, despite the car not being at the car hire company at 9am anyway!
They have just stolen my money and not fulfilled the contract - as a car was not available or taken for the day. I’m disgusted with them. Do not use them.
They took money, were unable to fulfill the contract and then only offered the standard refund after the cancellation fee..
Booked a 5 seater economy car in March 2025. Confirmation email was all correct.
When I was about to print out the voucher a week before travelling it changed to 4 seater mini category. Customer service stated I chose the wrong category. The wanted to pay me double the price to get a 5 seater.
Scam company. Bad customer service.

Avoid at all costs.
The website is misleading and provides inaccurate prices that Rhino are unable to honour.
I clearly input the correct details such as pick up and drop off destination and Rhino website confirmed 'total price' and coverage such as fuel to fuel, excess waiver etc. When proceeding the price practically doubled and then started requesting 'add-ons'.
I provided the URL link for my purchase and they said it was incorrect and not working. I copy and pasted the URL into an alternative internet browser, ensuring I have cleared all cookies and cache, and the link opened with all my information.
I was directed to this firm using my employee ‘benefits’ portal.

In response to Rhino reply below, yesterday I used another device connected to a different IP address and results was the same. I dispute Rhino suggestion this is caused by a glitch. In addition to this, having hired a number of vehicles in UK and overseas, I am familiar with my requirements and again the website showed 'total cost' for my requirements prior to proceeding. I did not encounter 'technical issue' - the issue I encountered was cost related due to Rhino increasing cost AFTER proceeding to purchase

Avoid this company at all costs.
We got to Italy one hour later due to flight delays. We were told in fluent English our car booking had been cancelled and it would cost us to rebook it. The forms they get you to sign (all in Italian) are actually for extra insurance. All though we had already taken out extra insurance. Still trying to claim our money back.
Proper scam. I booked car in Las Vegas but when I got to their office they said they don't have any car available. Taxi then ripped me off for $30 5 miles journey and I had to pay premium price at the airport desk. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS. STAFF AT DOLLAR LAS VEGAS WERE USELESS. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. AVOID AVOID AVOID

DO NOT USE RHINO CAR - total scam/rip off
Terrible customer service and so unhelpful!
We arrived in Lanzarote and had car rental from 22-28th of April! Sadly I had not realised we didn’t arrive until the 23! Went to Avis desk who said rhino car removes their booking after 12 hours and Ali thought they were happy to give us the car for the remaining days it had to be cleared frost with RHINO.
First person we spoke to at rhino was terribly rude and said it was our fault and not their problem! I asked if we could just have the car for the remaning 5 days (we had anlready paid £194 in full for the car) and we were happy to pay an additional cost.
We were then passed to the manager who said who was so unhelpful, completely declined any sort of rhyme or reasoning and told us it wasn’t her problem and that the booking had been removed from the system.
We received no notification to inform us that we had missed the car pick up and from what was a genuine mistake the mannerism/ helpfulness of this company is truly shocking!
We then had to hire another car from another company for double the price, leaving us out of pocket!
Do NOT use this company and god forbid you make the slightest mistake on a silly drop down bar for the date. To make matters worse Avis had the exact model of car ready in their store depo ready to go for us.
I have contacted rhino twice now and heard nothing back from their complaints team! £196 is a lot of money for a greedy company to keep in a world where people are truly struggling they should be ashamed!
Rhino car have just responded to this email - no apology, only passing the blame to Avis who I have already said did not take the direct booking. The direct booking was through rhino car who refused to help us by giving Avis permission to change our vechile rental to a later time that day. Rhino car were so rude and unhelpful in the phone. Rhino car remover their booking from Avis’s system 2 hours after the car was not collected. Rhino car are to blame here NOT Avis.

I have used Rhino on several occasions must recently form Paphos airport. Great service, no hidden costs, got exactly what I paid for. Staff were very helpful when I had deleted the voucher in error, answered promptly and sent a copy.
Recently hired a vehicle from Rhino...as we do on any trip where a car is needed.
It was for a Christmas break..
