★☆☆☆☆ Avoid at all costs – unreliable and dishonest

Our experience with Steel Edge Fabrication (113 Fordwater Road, Chertsey, KY16 8HB) has been nothing short of disastrous. We dealt with Navneen Mohan and Harnek Sahota Singh (aka Harry) and found them to be extremely unreliable and unprofessional.

Promises were made repeatedly, but never kept. Our order took over two months to arrive, and when it finally did, the steel sizes were incorrect. To make matters worse, they stopped answering calls and messages, yet still demanded payment for a cancelled delivery.

Although registered in the UK, much of their staff appear to be based overseas, which caused even more delays and confusion. A quick check on Companies House raises more questions than answers—this company’s credibility is deeply questionable.

In our opinion, they are con artists masquerading as a legitimate business. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

I woke up at 9am on my rest day to the sound of drilling—contractors from this company were attempting to bolt my windows shut without notice or consent, in a building that previously contained dangerous combustible cladding.

I refused, explaining that the window was a vital emergency exit. I was told, “If you don’t let us put these locks on, we’ll just bolt it all up anyway.” When I continued to object, the company’s Health & Safety officer called me. I calmly explained that sealing the window would severely affect my mental health, and that the idea of being trapped in a fire made me feel suicidal.

Instead of taking this seriously, he misrepresented my words to the police, falsely claiming I had made a suicide threat to force me to comply. When the police arrived, I explained the situation, and they accepted that this was not a crisis situation. No police action was taken, and the contractor’s dishonest behaviour was exposed.

Later, the company sent six men to bolt a large metal fence directly across my window—a clear act of punishment and intimidation. When I protested again, one of the workers made a false allegation that I had threatened to pour boiling sugar on them. Again, the police were called. No action was taken—because the claim was entirely false.

This company has shown itself to be aggressive, dishonest, and retaliatory, particularly toward residents who assert their rights. They appear to weaponise emergency services against anyone who challenges them, instead of resolving genuine concerns with professionalism.

Avoid this company at all costs—especially if you are vulnerable, disabled, or value your legal rights. Dangerous, slow, and confrontational.

AVOID SCF FABRICATION! Took my money, didn’t deliver barn and ignored all my calls and emails. 9 months of stress. Director runs an expensive M series BMW as well as an aircraft. Say no more…

DO NOT USE SCF FABRICATION!

I wish I had read these reviews before spending £13,000 with this company. They have had my money since spring 2023 and 8 months later I have no barn.

They ignore phone calls and emails and treat customers with total contempt. AVOID SCF FABRICATION!

Do not buy anything from this company!! I ordered a building in May 2021, parts were delivered and then they disappeared, no calls or emails. I ended up buying the rest of the building from another manufacturer whilst taking SCF to court to get the remainder of the money back. This took almost 2 years. Wasted time, stress and for nothing. AVOID THIS COMPANY!! I can not express how terrible SCF fabrication is to deal with, just stay away, do not order anything!

We have recently won our court case against this company and got all of our money back. They were a total nightmare they took our money and never delivered the goods that we ordered they ignored our calls, emails, letters etc. Then tried to palm us off with some legs for the barn that weren’t what we ordered and we’re not fit for purpose.

Warning - do not use this Company. They owe me 14k plus costs

Paid 50% up front and was promised the building would be delivered in June 2021. It took three more months of constant chasing and calling, emails, letters to get a response. I even posed as a new customer and got a response within an hour!
Finally got a call to say the building was ready and that payment of the other 50% (13k) was needed and it would be sent out. No building arrived for another month and it is now a year and a half later and about 50% of the building is here.
Had to pursue court action which has cost another 3.5k and they simply lied and said I had refused delivery of the building!
It has taken all my savings, time, effort and stress over the last 18 month and totally messed up my business.

DO NOT USE

Never use this company - paid 50% in September 2021 got around 30% of bits paid remaining 50% and nothing until proceeded court and in March2022 received around 30% more . Nothing since , no communication so going to claim with costs in court .
Having to buy remaining bits elsewhere and a project that should have been delivered before Christmas will end up being a year late and only 60% of materials .
Go anywhere but here ! You will regret !

WARNING NEVER GOT MY STEEL BUILDING .........My EXperience with this company was a waste of time ,and a complete, stressfull,nightmare. I purchased a building off them on the 02/04/202 and paid half the amount upfront as agreed,then the rest on completion,which was going to be june,it never happened ,then the excuses seemed to start, it gets worse to communicate with them the longer it goes on !!!!...to the point they dont answer you at all,even if you try to be nice about the delay,they are not bothered at ALL..i had to ask for a refund ,,,guess what ...no answer,...it went on till october,then put the matter in the hands of my bank.
As i paid by business debit card over the phone,i was covered,and got my money back just into November,.....ill never forgive SCF for the stress and time the wasted which i cant get back and it has put my business plans back well over a YEAR,..soul destroying!!!!!!!!

Taken our deposit for a building we are still waiting for. No communication through email or phone. Disgusting company. Do not use. We will be getting money back through bank...hopefully

I paid £5750 upfront big mistake!!
Be very careful with this company only ended up with half a barn forged my signature as well!
And don’t believe there time schedule it’s complete cod’s wallop!!delivery of half a barn took 20 weeks never again be careful.

Paid this company £6,000 for a building roof, never received the roof or a refund. Constantly calling - no answer on the phone. Emails sent - no replies. Asked for refund - no reply.

Luckily this was paid through a business bank account so our money is credited back by the bank and the bank then begins recovery proceedings against this rip off company.

This company advertises on Facebook, on a website and through eBay. My opinion is stay well clear of this company and if you must use them, do not pay in advance or use a business account so you are covered.
