Per the mechanic, the labor for this service will only take a half hour and you’re charging over $340 which is gouging. Also, you didn’t have one of the parts so I would need to order it. And, if you don’t decide to move forward with the service the day of the quote you’re charged another service fee if you decide later. I believe Dave is a competent mechanic and would have moved forward but at the labor rate of $680 an hour that’s insane.
Dino is very profesional good technician wry happy with his services
Dave was very professional, did a great job on my fridge couldn’t ask for better service, thanks Dave 👍👍 well done
I left a review on July 23 detailing our terrible experience with Omaha Sears Appliance Repair. Unfortunately, weeks later, the situation still has not been resolved.
Sears Appliance Repair was assigned by our home warranty company to address an intermittent noise coming from our refrigerator. Our refrigerator was working when the technicians first came to our home. After their initial repair attempt, it stopped working completely.
On the third service visit, the technician arrived approximately 45 minutes after the scheduled service window. During that visit, we were told that one of the new parts they previously installed was faulty and would need to be replaced.
That brought us to service visit number four.
Sears gave us an appointment window of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. My husband spent his day off at home waiting for the technician to arrive.
No one showed up.
Seven hours of waiting. No technician. No repair. And still no working refrigerator.
We are now well over a month into this ordeal. Sears was assigned to address a minor issue with a refrigerator that was still functioning. We are now dealing with a refrigerator that doesn't work at all, multiple repair attempts, a faulty replacement part, a technician arriving late, and now a technician who did not show up at all.
The lack of accountability and respect for our time has been unacceptable.
We did not choose Sears Appliance Repair. They were assigned to us by our home warranty company. But after this experience, I can say with certainty that we would never choose them to service an appliance in our home.
I stand by my original review:
DO NOT USE OMAHA SEARS APPLIANCE REPAIR.
If you have the ability to choose your appliance repair company, I strongly recommend choosing someone else.
After waiting all day they canceled. Poorly done. Will never use again.
Great service. Will be using for any future repairs as well.
Service tech excellent - great personality, knows his stuff and provide excellent suggestion; Although service wasn't done because it cost more than buying a brand-new dryer.
Long-Time Sears Customer Since 2011 – Their Service System Has Become a Nightmare
I have been a Sears customer and maintained a Master Protection Agreement since 2011. Unfortunately, my latest experience shows how dramatically Sears Home Services has declined.
Our LG refrigerator stopped working properly on May 30, 2026. We have two young children (ages 3.5 and 2) and two elderly family members in our household, so being without proper refrigeration for more than two months created a serious hardship.
The first technician, Arben, came on June 2 and ordered a part for a broken water line. The part arrived June 5. A second female technician, who was also excellent, repaired the water line even though the supplied part was too short. She then diagnosed our cooling problem and ordered another part, which arrived June 25.
That is when the nightmare began.
Sears canceled or failed to complete appointments on July 1, July 13, July 28, August 10, and August 11. At various times, Sears claimed parts had not arrived even though they were physically sitting in my home, or claimed nobody was home.
The worst incident occurred when a technician went to wrong house, photographed the WRONG HOUSE, and then left rather than calling me.
Throughout this ordeal I repeatedly called Sears and spoke with numerous representatives across Loyalty, Benefits and Repair, including Jose, Anthony, Edward, Khalista, Maple and Bryce. I repeatedly heard that my case was "escalated," yet nothing seemed to change. During my August 12 conversation, Bryce even laughed at one point while I was explaining this extremely frustrating situation. For a customer who had already spent more than two months without a working refrigerator, I found that response completely inappropriate.
Had I accepted another rescheduling on August 12, I was told the earliest appointment could be August 28.
Fortunately, I noticed the appointment status unexpectedly change to show a technician arriving that afternoon and insisted that Sears NOT cancel it. Arben then personally called me, something I had desperately been waiting for after weeks of uncertainty. For the first time, I also began receiving useful Sears text-message updates.
Arben arrived on August 12, replaced the necessary filter, added refrigerant and successfully restored the refrigerator's cooling. After more than two months, our refrigerator was finally working again.
I give Arben and the earlier female technician five stars. They were knowledgeable, professional and willing to actually diagnose and solve problems.
My one-star rating is for Sears Home Services' scheduling and customer-service system.
What I experienced appears to be a serious breakdown between Sears, its automated scheduling system, and its field technicians. Customers are given large appointment windows with little meaningful communication. When something goes wrong, appointments appear to fall into an endless cycle of cancellation and rescheduling. Even repeated calls and supposed "escalations" did not resolve my situation.
Sears has also introduced its Samantha AI system, but in my experience automation has not improved customer service. It has made reaching meaningful human assistance and correcting scheduling problems even more difficult.
After being a loyal Sears customer since 2011, this was easily the worst service experience I have ever had with the company.
Sears still has some excellent technicians. The problem is getting those technicians to the customer's home. Sears needs to fix its scheduling, dispatch, communication and escalation systems before it loses long-time customers who have remained loyal for years.
Your technician was prompt, friendly, explained what he was doing and what he found. He determined the problem quickly and fixed it quickly once parts were available.
It took approximately a month and a half to have my gas dryer fixed for a simple igniter replacement. It was IMPOSSIBLE to reach a human being for customer service. The AI assistant kept scheduling and canceling appointments for no reason or for incorrect reasons and for different times than we planned. This dragged on for weeks. Technicians did not show up for appointments. The technician who finally fixed the igniter, left the dryer in worse condition (belt in wrong place, hose not hooked up, not cleaned as payed for, etc.) Needed another technician to come out to fix those issues. (That technician, Chris, was great, but by that time, I was extremely frustrated, not being able to contact anyone or having such poor previous service.)
The problem was not resolved. Second time appointment was made, the technician never showed up. Not cool at all.
James was very friendly and knowledgeable. He completed the repairs quickly and had our AC back on in no time.
Sears HOME SERVICES relies on a 100% automated call center. That’s fine if you’re trying to turn a profit for your shareholders, but as a customer, it is 100% useless.
In my case, I received a service call appointment for AC repair on a work day that is scheduled from 8:00 in the morning until 5:00 pm in the afternoon. I think it’s reasonable to want to narrow that down to a four-hour block of time so that I can either go into work, or keep another scheduled appointment in the afternoon. Trying to address this with the 100% automated system results in two choices: cancel the appointment, or reschedule. I don’t want to do either. The last remaining option is to conclude the call. They offer website access which allows the same choices: cancel or reschedule. I find it offensive that the customer is forced to “carry the water” here. Because Sears Home Services has fired every live agent, I can’t reason with a live agent to either obtain the service technician’s contact information in order to coordinate an actual arrival time. It is not incumbent upon the customer, who is paying for these services, to stay home all day being unproductive until the technician arrives.
Patrick was so good with my elderly parents and the services he provided!
Excellent technician who knows his appliances!! 👏👏👏
While the repair was successful, Sears billed $349 labor for a job that took 20 minutes. Plus they doubled the parts costs as I learned when I went online/ There is absolutely no avenue to talk to a Sears live agent as they do not take calls and the AI assistant does not offer an option to question billing. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
Very personable young man did his job well but could still commute with me.
For starters Sears has missed 5 consecutive appointments to fix my Refridgerator. The technician that cam on 7/17 informed us to unplug the fridge to be fixed July 18, the parts arrived but the technician did not. Missing multiple appointments 7/18, 7/22, 7,29, 8/4, and 8/10 the Refridgerator has been unplugged and not working.
The technician today was efficient, I will give him credit for that, but he was not professional. He did not introduce himself, let me know what the issue was with the Refridgerator nor did he explain what was supposed to be fixed when complete. I attempted multiple times to get him to talk about the fridge and shed some light on the issue and if the fridge would be safe since the waterlines could have mold in them due to the length of time without being cooled. He was very unhelpful. At this point now I am switching my home warranty carrier I do not wish to have Sears to repair anything in my home. The experience has been deplorable. If you would like a full report of what is happening please feel free to call or email, thank you.
Nat did an outstanding job very professional, confident a pleasure to meet him . If I have another issue in the future I would like Nat to be the technician
He was knowledgeable, courteous and a pleasure to work with!
