I purchased an Amsterdam Eurostar City Break. What followed was a deliberately engineered process designed to extract more money after purchase or hope you give up trying to get a refund.
The tricks used:
Bait and switch — listing advertised Eurostar included. After redemption the travel partner immediately pushed flights. When challenged they said Eurostar was available but costs extra. I paid for Eurostar. It was advertised as included.
Misleading omission — solo travel costs extra. Two people costs extra. There is no version of the trip available at the advertised price. Every option has an unavoidable additional charge none of which appear in the listing headline.
The loop — Wowcher sends you to the travel partner. Travel partner sends you back to Wowcher. Wowcher sends broken refund links. Suggests incognito. Sends the same broken link again. Repeat until you give up. Many people do. That is the strategy.
What they bank on — that the 16 day refund window only applies to unredeemed vouchers. The moment you redeem to find out what you actually bought you lose that protection. That timing is not an accident.
The calls — since redeeming this voucher I began receiving multiple unsolicited sales calls daily from unknown numbers. Make of that what you will.
I got my money back but it took weeks of persistence, documented complaints, a PayPal dispute and refusing to accept their process. Most people won't go that far. That is exactly what Wowcher and their travel partners are counting on.
These practices fall under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 — bait and switch, misleading omission, pressure selling. The CMA has already investigated Wowcher once. Based on my experience nothing has changed.
I will not be using Wowcher again.

Extremely disappointing experience with Wowcher Mystery Holidays.
After revealing our destination as Lake Garda, we were then told our selected dates were an issue and were pushed towards Paris/Cologne instead — a completely different type of holiday that we never wanted. The process felt misleading, stressful and unnecessarily difficult from start to finish.
We spent days going back and forth trying to secure practical arrangements, despite booking in good faith and following the redemption process correctly. Communication was poor, inconsistent and felt designed to pressure us into accepting alternatives rather than resolving the actual issue.
Only after repeated complaints were flights finally offered for our original dates although no transfers were possible for less than €170 more than the holiday itself!
Customers should be very cautious with these “mystery” deals and keep screenshots of everything. Based on our experience, the holiday revealed to you does not necessarily mean a smooth or straightforward booking process afterwards still waiting for a refund!

An Incredible price for Microsoft office for Mac. The company who supplied the goods were very helpful and I was able to download and install the product with ease.

They're affiliated with a company they know are scamming their customers but choose to ignore that and allow customers to get scammed again and again.

Ordered a product, discovered that the email for merchant was incorrect. Tried to cancel the order, no way of communicating with Wowcher. The email response from them every time was that I had to wait for delivery.
9 days post expected delivery and nothing.
Appears that Wowcher supports scammers and are not interested when you inform them.

Terrible company who use scam companies as a business model! Despite numerous people telling Wowcher what a scamming company Rithu Beauty Ltd is, they still take people's money then ignore your emails. Luckily for me I used PayPal and got an immediate refund.
So Wowcher are asking for more info. I have sent 2 emails to you in the past week, so you can just read those can't you?
