We used 1st move for our international move from London back to the US and they were fabulous every step of the way. The team that carried out the collection in London were efficient, on time and very nice, the whole 1st move team was communicative throughout the shipment and then couriers used on the US side were just as communicative and fantastic to work with. Price was reflective of the services provided. Not one item of ours arrived broken or missing. Really great team and service.

I shipped a number of boxes and four items of furniture from the UK to the United States. The shipment contained a significant number of breakable items, all of which arrived in perfect condition. The 1st Move team were helpful and friendly throughout the process, and I would certainly use their service again.

From packing to delivery highly professional. All glass and fragile item arrived in perfect condition. Arrived faster than expected. Highly recommended

I selected 1st Move International after comparing five international removal companies for a full household relocation from Kent, UK to Sharjah, UAE.

My initial experience was excellent the Transport Manager responded promptly, demonstrated strong knowledge and communicated professionally throughout the early stages.

Based on this, I completed my reservation on 14th July 2026 against Quotation MOVQ236347 at £4,325.55, with a collection date of 23rd November 2026.

I was a confirmed, booked customer.

What followed was a series of avoidable communication failures that I feel future customers deserve to know about.

The Storage Cost Question
I first asked about UK storage costs on 24th June 2026. I received an answer on 8th July 2026 after asking four times over a period of two weeks. This was a straightforward question that should have been answered promptly from the outset.

The Unsolicited Second Quote
A member of the sales team sent me an unsolicited second quotation MOVQ236347-01 at £5,987.55. This was £1,662.00 higher than the quotation I had already agreed and booked against. I never requested a second quote. This introduced unnecessary confusion and required significant back and forth to resolve. I would urge any prospective customer to be vigilant if a second quotation appears unexpectedly question it immediately and get written confirmation of which quote your reservation is being processed against.

Attention to Detail
The same member of the sales team asked me to share photos and videos via WhatsApp despite the fact that I had already sent 9 annotated photographs via email the previous day. He also repeatedly removed my main point of contact from email correspondence, which I had to correct each time by copying him back in myself. Basic attention to detail was consistently lacking.

The Welcome Email
When the Move Manager sent my welcome email following the reservation, she attached the wrong quotation the higher one at £5,987.55. When I raised this, I was told both quotations were on file and that whichever was closest to the final packed volume would be used on collection day. When I pushed for written confirmation that the correct quotation was on record, the response I received was two words 'Yes it is'. On a matter involving thousands of pounds and an international relocation, that is not an acceptable standard of communication. She also addressed me by the wrong name a small detail, but one that reflects the broader lack of attention to detail that characterised this entire experience.

The Cancellation
When I raised these concerns with the Transport Manager and requested that he remain my main point of contact going forward, he declined and proceeded to cancel my reservation based on a conditional statement in my email. My exact words were if this is not possible, then I think it would be best we part ways at this stage. This was not a cancellation instruction. It was an invitation to reflect, address the issues with his team and retain a booked customer. No clarifying question was asked. The reservation was simply cancelled.

The CEO
I escalated my experience directly to the CEO in a calm, detailed and fully documented email. That was over two weeks ago. No response has been received to date. That silence speaks for itself.

I want to be clear my belongings were never collected so I cannot comment on the physical service. The failures here were entirely in communication, attention to detail and customer retention. The Transport Manager was copied into every single email throughout this process and on occasions where the sales team member removed him, I took it upon myself to copy him back in. At no point did he intervene to correct his team or address the issues being raised in real time.

I would not use this company. Stay away. If you do choose to use them, you do so entirely at your own risk.

1st Move International helped make an international move back home for myself super easy and stress free. They provided pictures of my things, one and a half pallets, a crate for a roller toolbox and a crate for my Harley. They were in constant communication to make sure everything was going as smooth as could be leading up to the pick up and then gave me weekly updates once everything was packed and shipped. 1st Move International was great for my move from London to Miami. The service was amazing with a personal move manager who communicated every step of the way including photos of the packed goods on the pallet. Their logistics company on the USA side was equally great. Highly recommended!

As if our move back to US was not stressful enough, but 1st Move International Limited really assisted in the logistics of our personal and professional belongings without adding to the mayham of the move. Our belongings were pack on pallets carefully and wrapped to insure the protection of our property. The pick-up and delivering of our belongings were both timely and effortless. The team at 1st Move International limited we helpful, very professional and made our move a little bit easier.

Everything arrived safely and in good time. I had a slight problem with the final delivery of items into the house, but this was very promptly sorted out by the parties concerned. These were subcontractors to 1st Move International rather than the 1st Move itself.

The staff at Bristol, and the crew that came to collect my consignment were consistently excellent.

Collecting and packing goods end of Sept - excellent. Keeping in contact - excellent. Quality of packing when left UK - excellent. Goods arrived in around 3 months, but Australian customs delayed inspection as it was Christmas time. All goods delivered on 18 Jan - excellent. Unpacked and found several damaged items in the boxes that customs inspected - shame you have no control over them.

The packing team were great, efficient and everything arrived in Australia without any breakage or scratch!

A great end to end service for shipping personal effects abroad to Cyprus.
The whole process from the initial enquiry up to completion was easy and painless. All the prep work for the estimate and shipping admin needed was all easily done online.
When the guys came to pack up my stuff it was really quick and easy and the final prep before loading included photos showing the sealed pallets ready to ship. I even managed to track the ship using its name. At arrival in Cyprus the agents dealt with customs and home delivery with speed and a good professional service. I expected the pallets to be offloaded to my driveway but the guys even unpacked and brought everything into the house for me. Easy, quick and professional from end to end. Thankfully for me this is the last move of this type but if i was doing it again I'd definitely use 1st move again.

Had issues with another removal company as im in the USA and my items were in storage in the UK. So I contacted this company and they were brilliant. They collected my items from storage within the week of contact. Kept me updated all the way through.

The only positive aspect of our move was the delivery teams in both the UK and Perth, who were polite and professional.

Our belongings departed the UK on 11th September and arrived to us in Perth on 19th January. During the sales process, we were given assurances over the phone with the sales team, regarding cost transparency, delivery times, container sharing, and the quality and ease of the insurance claims process. In our experience, these assurances were not reflected in the outcome.

We encountered additional charges that were not clearly explained upfront, delivery times that differed significantly from what we were led to expect, and some items arrived damaged. Since delivery, our attempts to contact customer service in the UK regarding an insurance claim have not received a response to date.

While the Perth delivery was handled by a partner company, the issues we are experiencing relate primarily to communication, clarity of costs, and post-delivery support from the original company. However, I did complain to the partner company based in Australia regarding their poor communication, and this was acknowledged and they apologised.

Overall, this review reflects our personal experience, and we would recommend that others carefully compare providers and ensure all costs, timelines, and claims processes are clearly documented before committing.
