Called Sovereign Lending Group this…

Called Sovereign Lending Group this morning for some generic VA refinance interest rate information I received in the mail. The gentleman that answered refused to provide any information without the Reference Number, which is connected to my name address and current mortgage information, for marketing purposes. I advised him I didn't want to reveal any information (because I don't want the additional junk mail or phone calls IF we didn't go with them) at this point he said he couldn't transfer my call to a loan specialist without that number although their web site gives an option to say "i don't know". So I hung up. Too bad to, we're moving and will need a loan to cover 1/2 the cost of the new home (we have lots of equity for the down) and very high 800+ credit scores as well as very nice duel incomes. It's a shame their data collection requirements from their marketing department is losing them potential business $$$,$$$
