This program is not worth the hype

This program is not worth $100, let alone the $5,000+ they charge.

What you receive is generic, recycled trading content that can be found for free on YouTube. There is nothing proprietary, nothing advanced, and nothing that justifies the price. It becomes painfully obvious very quickly that there is no real edge being taught.

Most videos are a complete waste of time. Instructors speak in circles repeating the same phrases over and over: “Our traders are great.”
“You can be great too.”
Yet they never explain how.

They constantly tell you to build your own trading edge—while failing to teach a single concrete, repeatable strategy. There are no defined setups, no clear entry/exit logic, no risk framework—just vague concepts and motivational talk. If this is “education,” it’s an extremely poor excuse for it.

The main idea pushed is breakout trading, which is one of the most common retail traps in modern markets. There is no serious discussion of order flow, market microstructure, or advanced tape reading. Despite these being heavily implied during the sales process, you later discover that anything remotely advanced costs extra—if it’s available at all.

Programs like SMB DNA and Winning Trader feel severely outdated, closer to material from 2010–2015 that does not reflect how today’s markets actually trade. This alone makes the pricing borderline insulting.

For beginners, this program is arguably dangerous. There is no structured curriculum, no logical progression, and no foundation-building. Every video feels random—different instructors talking about unrelated topics with zero cohesion. Instead of teaching trading, they talk around trading.

At some point it becomes clear: this is marketing and branding disguised as education. You’re paying for stories, self-praise, and vague encouragement—not real trading skills.

If you are serious about learning to trade, stay away. This program offers no value, no structure, and no edge—only a very expensive lesson in buyer’s remorse.

Worth a look if you are serious about trading

Serious business with great insight and a no-nonsense approach to trading that avoids the get rich quick schemes you see elsewhere. Some of the packages they offer are very overpriced, and the online seminars you can join are just hard sell conversion funnels (come on guys please fix before they make you look cheap and hurt your reputation), but overall they deliver good insight, if you are willing to put in the time and work to become a profitable trader . Good service.

SMB are the top number one expert prop…

SMB are the top number one expert prop firm in education and trainers, coaches and mentors if you want to think and trade like a professional trader and make a life long commitment to your art. I was somewhat surprised to find them here and with no reviews, I have left a Google review too as they have hundreds of 5 star reviews there. I think they prefer Google reviews, but as they are here I don’t see why I should not share my life changing experience about this incredible firm and its amazing people. I found SMB through reading trading books and for anyone that wants to work at a prop firm or trade their own funds then you must read One Good Trade and The Playbook by Mike Bellafiore.
