Solar panels have been up several years now with no trouble. I have contacted the WhatsApp chat support today as I changed my WiFi provider and the process of changing this on the app wasn’t working.... See more

Battery failing
We had Solar Edge panels installed in 2023, on our new home. They seem to be work well.
In 2025 we decided to add a 9.7kw battery. This is were our Problems started. It took the installer 6hr to get it to communicate with the company. Since then we have had the battery fail 2 more times. Taking up to 2 weeks for solar edge to reconnect the battery to the system. It failed again on the 8th April. Still waiting. They are Looking into it??? In the mean time no power going into our battery. Plenty being made and sent to grid. You can NOT talk to anyone. Only robot texts. Even the installer is struggling to get in contact, waiting on the phone for Long periods of time, wasting his time. Wish I had never used this company.

I recently had to contact SolarEdge support and I am beyond impressed. The technical Deeksha was incredibly professional, fast, and efficient. They resolved my issue in no time, and my system is back to performing perfectly. It’s rare to see this level of customer service nowadays. Highly recommended!

SolarEdge - Equipment to Be Avoided
I am trying to get my SolarEdge EV charger featured in my SolarEdge app and desktop SolarEdge software. Doing so has just been impossible. It takes a considerable period of time to get anyone from SolarEdge to make contact. The SolarEdge system then does all it can to elongate the process. After several pointless email, SolarEdge arranged a time and date for a visit. No one turned up. No one got in touch to apologise and re-arrange. When my solar panels were installed, the installer said I would get much better support from SolarEdge and the high additional cost of SolarEdge equipment was worth it for the level of support. He was wrong, support has been abysmal. Potential purchasers should avoid SolarEdge equipement because the support level is non-existent.
Solar edge whats app support
I spent some time today talking to Swaroop via whats app chat trying to resolve my EV charger and inverter interface. Whilst it was not a quick process most of my issues were sorted . At all times Swaroop was patient and understanding . I think at times there was misunderstanding between us but we still got things going in the end . Thankyou
"Ghosts" in the App.
Had a problem with a "ghost" solar array and "ghost" battery appearing on the app. No idea why but Swaroop(?) got it fixed quickly and efficiently. I've had previous good contacts with SolarEdge support.
Still no idea why the app said I had two arrays and two batteries when I've only ever had one - but it's fixed now.

Battery backup not reliable
I was initially happy with my Solaredge inverter, but since I had a battery added it has been unreliable.
A major purpose of the battery is as a backup when the grid goes down, but when running in backup mode it has dropped out 3 times. Also, the app often won't connect, or gives me incorrect consumption info, which makes it hard to manage consumption.

Nonexisitant Customer Service
My 2017 SolarEdge inverter is still not registering with PG&E, and I’ve been unable to get any meaningful support. Every attempt to contact SolarEdge—whether by phone or chat—results in being passed around without any resolution.
I located a qualified installer who is willing to help diagnose the issue, but SolarEdge will not approve him. Instead, my case has been stalled for two weeks with a vague status of “Customer Feedback Required.” When I try to find out what that actually means, I cannot get a clear answer or reach a knowledgeable representative.
To make matters more frustrating, this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues. In 2020, the inverter went offline for three months and stopped registering with PG&E, then suddenly came back online without explanation.
At this point, the lack of support and accountability feels negligent. If this continues unresolved, I am seriously considering pursuing legal action.

Avoid this supplier
No generation again.
Down for over 1 month.
At least 3 faulty optimisers.
We're on our 3rd SE inverter in 8 years as 2 failed.
Support portal down with 404 page not found.
SE setting support cases to resolved (4 in last month) without seriously addressing the problem.
UK support line says you can talk to a human agent then dumps the call with "see website" - where those pages give 404 = not found.
