I host a number of sites for clients with other providers,.. Not a day goes by that I'm not bombarded with email, cheesy offers and marketing BS from these other providers.
What I love about Squidix is they don't harass me to do this, buy that.. They do their thing at the bottom of the sea (or whereever they live) and surface when you need them.
A while ago the shared server faced a serious spam issue..... among the numerous rants, raves, nasty comments, and non-constructive blubbering I thought my ticket would be lost. It wasn't. It was addressed professionally and with no attempt to hide the issues they were dealing with. I respected that and come to expect this approach with my provider.
