Jessica & Ali provided amazing service at the Manchester branch for our bottomless brunch.
Horrible
Horrible, cruel service — absolutely unbelievable!!
I have never experienced such a complete lack of basic human decency and customer care. I placed an order through Deliveroo and accidentally selected the wrong delivery address. Deliveroo immediately advised me to contact the restaurant and request a cancellation before the order was dispatched.
I called the restaurant straight away, explained the situation, and asked if they could cancel the order. Their response was shocking. They refused to help and effectively said they would rather throw the food in the bin than cancel the order.
What kind of business chooses waste over helping a customer who made an honest mistake and contacted them immediately? There was no understanding, no flexibility, and absolutely no attempt to find a reasonable solution.
This was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I have ever had. Management should seriously review how customers are treated, as a complete lack of empathy is far harder to excuse.
Avoid this restaurant if you value customer service, common sense, and basic human kindness.
Bring the old menus back please
Used to be our favourite restaurant and somewhere we would visit weekly as a family of six. Since the salads were removed from the menu, we unfortunately don’t go as often anymore. It would be great to see some of the old menu brought back, as it felt much more inclusive and offered something for everyone.
Other than that, we’ve always had a lovely experience, the service is consistently good and the staff are always polite and friendly. Our regular branch is Wimbledon, but we’ve also visited Kingston, Chelsea, and Central London over the years.
We were frequent goers of this sticks n…
We were frequent goers of this sticks n sushi branch (Battersea) as we are local to the area. The manager on Sunday 24th of May for the dinner service was insanely rude. We were a huge table of 12 people ordering everything on the menu twice over. Our miniature poodle fully leashed was playing with all 4 waiters servicing us alongside the kids on our table, when he barked to get the managers attention, the manager was caught off guard and cursed at us (he literally said “f*** you”). What a horrible manager and horrid hospitality, he clearly wasn’t an animal person and claimed our leashed miniature poodle was attacking him as a way to explain cursing at us. Sticks n sushi officially lost us as customers after this incident. Shameful!
A sinking ship
Glasgow location has been open a matter of months and has been struggling from week one. We graciously put it down to growing pains along with the works being done locally but now the menu has been gutted and honestly I doubt we will ever return. I'm disappointed to no longer be able to enjoy the chirashi but I suspect based on our visits the location won't last and obviously there are problems if there are such drastic revisions being made. Sad times as we have been loyal to the brand across the UK for years.
Not for anyone with allergies
Not a place if you have allergies. They have an allergy menu but cannot guarantee cross contamination (so what’s the point!). Also takes money straight from your credit card on on booking and then take 10 days to return (on cancellation of booking (due to allergy issue)). Not impressed
Fabulous meal
Fabulous meal, food was excellent and service was exceptional (thanks to our waitress Prachi J.).
Really disappointing brunch experience…
Really disappointing brunch experience at Sticks’n’Sushi Victoria, especially as we’re normally big fans of the evening service. At £70 per person it didn’t feel like good value at all. The team seemed overstretched: we waited over 40 minutes for starters, were forgotten about for long periods, and our table time ran out before mains or dessert arrived. We spent most of the visit chasing staff and worrying about food instead of actually enjoying ourselves. The menu rules were also misleading — we were told only the vegan menu required two people, but in reality all menus did, meaning one of us had to order separately from the main menu just to eat fish. The atmosphere felt rushed and unenjoyable, very different from the relaxed, authentic experience we’ve come to expect.
Visited the Cambridge restaurant on…
Visited the Cambridge restaurant on Saturday for a birthday treat. Food and service was excellent, but the state of the chairs were more akin to a kids eatery, absolutely filthy! Such a small change would have given a 5 star review!

Super quality as usual
Super quality as usual. Very tasty and loved the beautiful visual look of the sushi and maki as well. Very kind and nice service of Frederikke (from Portugal) at Borgergade. Keep it up. Thank you very much.
Good food & ambience
Good food, nice atmosphere, great drinks! Have been several times and will certainly be going back!
Great food, great atmosphere
We had a really lovely dinner at Sticks & Sushi at White City on Sunday night. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour — exactly what you’d hope for from a place like this.
What stood out just as much, though, was the service. Karolina, was brilliant — friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing. It’s always a bonus when someone clearly cares about the guest experience, and she handled everything with calm professionalism.
A great evening all round — we’ll definitely be back.
Impeccable
4 of us went there on Thursday 27th February. We meet up several times a year for a meal out. I am pleased I didn’t take any notice of the previous reviews as I could not fault this restaurant. The food was delightful and the service was impeccable, so much so that we had to personally thank the lady who served our table for how good she was. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and I will definitely re book . Also I am a yorkshire man and thought this restaurant was under priced.
If sticks n sushi read this review I would like to praise the lady who served our table , the booking was under Ms D Moore

Grossly overpriced for a very average experience. Very large, noisy restaurant. Great difficulty in hearing waiters.
! ! ! Food poisoning ! ! !
Food poisoning
I had a dinner to takeout for their restaurant on Sunday. I have had diarrhea, stomach pain, high fever afterwards for couple of days. I felt terrible. The company did not respond my emails etc. apparently they just ignore me that I am poisoned. Very surprising!
Favouritism
Hello there
my boyfriend brought me there for my birthday who is now actually the manager now, i cant tell him was trying to make a good impression or just wanted to get some costumers to the restaurant or spare some money. Actually i dont like eating there because the tables are quite in common you dont know where finished your table the others you can not breathe i mean with covid ...the people need privacy afterall he presented me the supervisor but i didnt quite actually am a fan of her so I think was inappropiate both professionally and personally because after this i dumped him.
Nice food and good experience
We went to the restaurant in Covent Garden.
The food was tasty and we went for my fiancée birthday and the gave her some ice cream with a candle at the end of the meal
Sticks n sushi, King’s Road
We visited sticks n sushi on the King’s Road, London and it was a great experience, as usual. Our waiter, Alessandro, was very attentive and polite 😊
Great Service - awesome for Coeliacs
Visited Sticks ‘n’ Sushi in Westfield with my Coeliac wife and daughter - the GM was absolutely awesome - gave us an iPad with the allergen menu, guided us through what could be made gluten free and what couldn’t. Put items with gluten on separate plates on mine and my son’s side of the table clearly showing us the gluten containing items.
Service from all staff was excellent - food was excellent and GM went out of her way to ensure it’s was a pleasurable experience for my wife and daughter.
Eating out with two coeliacs is very difficult and they normally don’t feel included in the whole eating experience - but here they weren’t.
Absolutely recommend the Westfield branch for anyone with coeliac or other food intolerances. They really do get it.
Thanks to the Sticks ‘n’ Sushi Westfield team.
