Gavin and team were brilliant after a long road to even getting quotes for our new roof. Gavin went out of his way to look after us and keep us informed at every stage which was a huge contrast to work we’ve had done before. They were also great at resolving small snags & for being thoughtful about impact of the work on us, as well as being the best quote we got. A breath of fresh air!

We needed our guttering and downpipes replaced along with a few tile repairs. We were given a really competitive quote, and the timescales agreed were great. Job now completed, and we are really pleased with the work done, excellent quality of service, thanks to Mark, Gavin and the guys, excellent job done, roof looks so much better.

Thanks to Gavin, Mark and the rest of the team for the work carried out on windows and chimney. After having some trouble in locating where water was getting in, their perseverance and excellent customer service was appreciated. The house is now watertight and we could not be happier with the work and the service.

The work was carried out quickly, efficiently and to a high standard. All the boys involved were hard working, mannerly and tidy. The house surroundings were tidied up after each days work. We are very happy with finished work.

Highly recommend this company, Needed a new roof, facias, soffits and guttering. Messaged on a Sunday, got a call back on the Monday, site visit on the Tuesday, and got a quote by the Wednesday.

Mark awas very helpful.
I had thought my roof was leaking after Mark took a look it turnded out the gutter was blocked and that what was cause the leak.

Asked Mark for a quote for roof repairs to a house I was thinking about putting in an offer on as home report survey was vague. Really quick response, consistent communication, liaised with the current owners and estate agent to inspect the property and give a quote in a timely manner. Ended up putting an offer in which has been accepted! Will almost certainly use SDR for the repairs when I’ve got the keys! Thanks!

Mark and Gavin explained everything very clearly and gave personal attention to everything that was being done. According to Companies House, the companies above, share the same director and have either dissolved or have gone into liquidation and yet my mother recently received a quote! Still trading! Trading Standards have now been informed.

Update: VAT has been included in the quote but no VAT registration number is shown...the company has a legal obligation to do so...HMRC has been informed.

The Google “write a review” link is redundant and the three people shown have not made these reviews…if you check them on Google.

I can’t get a fixed address for their physical premises. The address on their website (4/1 91 Mitchell St, Glasgow, G1 3LN) refers to a building with multiple organisations (not uncommon) - there are two roofing companies showing in Google: Speedy Roofing and Kennedy Roofing & Co Ltd. and I discovered that this address is their accountant’s only: 525 Accountancy Services Ltd.

‘Strathclyde Roofing Ltd’ (instead of Strathclyde Domestic Roofing) logo at the bottom left-hand side of their webpage.

I traced the IP address of the quote sent by the director Mark Foy and it originates in Chicago!?

Strathclyde Domestic Roofing does not appear in Companies House.

Shall I go on?

Had a new roof fitted along with 3 flat roofs which were desperately needing repair. We also had a Velux ventilated roof window guttering and facia boards fitted. The boards were made of metal. The workmanship was second to none and the squads working on the different sections work was excellent. They were very friendly and when they were finished the place was spotless. Mark and Gavin were always contactable and kept us informed of everything what was and when it was going to happen.
Definitely recommend Strathclyde Roofing .

After being recommended by a friend who had his roof replaced I contacted Strathclyde roofing as mine was in a bad state due to the age of my property. Mark came informed me what needed to be done found this very helpful. Workforce arrived very professional being informative non intrusive and always environmentally aware. So pleased with the end result looks really good and I’ve noticed I don’t need to use my central heating as much so it’s a win win for me.

Contacted Strathclyde Roofing after recommendation from a friend and delighted I did so. Mark gave full details on work to be carried out and Gavin was in contact throughout the work. The team of Michael, Ian & Dan were excellent, cant praise them high enough. Any problem they encountered was answered with, dont worry, we will deal with it and they did. the roof was in particularly bad shape under the old tiles and required lot of work, no longer the case, all wind and watertight and looks great. Would highly recommend them to anyone requiring their roof attended to. Thanks again.
