Unprofessional customer support and unresolved e-NACH update issue

Extremely disappointed with Tata Capital's customer service. I have been trying to update my e-NACH bank account details for days. Despite clearing all due interest and bounce charges, the support team repeatedly sends generic, automated emails without actually reading my issue or reviewing the attached documents. There is zero responsibility or coordination from their team to resolve a simple customer request. Utterly frustrating and unprofessional experience.

Disappointing Experience with Tata Capital Loan Auto-Debit and Customer Support my experience

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise being cautious before taking any loan from Tata Capital.

I have an OD loan with Tata Capital, and my EMI due date is the 5th of every month. For July 2026, I transferred sufficient funds into my savings account on 05-Jul-2026 8 AM to 9 AM, from which the auto-debit usually happens.

I waited the entire day on 05-Jul-2026, but the EMI was not debited. On 06-Jul-2026 around 9 AM, I proactively called customer care to check the issue. They informed me that the auto-debit was attempted around midnight or in the early hours of 05-Jul-2026, and since the funds were not available at that exact time, the payment bounced.

I asked them why I did not receive any call or message informing me about the failed debit, but I did not get a clear answer. They later agreed to reverse the bounce charges. However, I clearly told them that my main concern was not the bounce charges, but the impact on my credit history. The customer care executive said she would raise a request and asked me to wait for their response. She also specifically instructed me not to make the payment manually. These calls are recorded for quality purpose.

I waited another day, but there was no call or response from Tata Capital. When I contacted customer care again, another support agent informed me that he could see a request for reversal of bounce charges, but there was no request related to correcting or reversing the bounce status itself.

He repeatedly stated that I was supposed to maintain sufficient balance one day before the due date, meaning on 04-Jul-2026, not on the actual due date of 05-Jul-2026. I asked him what the meaning of a due date is if the amount must be available before that date. I also asked why they did not attempt the auto-debit again later on the same day, as many banks and financial institutions usually do. However, he kept repeating that these were their rules and did not provide any helpful resolution, even after nearly 45 minutes of discussion.

Based on this experience, I feel Tata Capital’s process is unclear, customer support is unhelpful, and the issue can potentially affect a customer’s credit record despite the customer arranging funds on the due date. It has caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and created concern about my financial reputation.

In my opinion, anyone considering a loan with Tata Capital should be very careful and fully understand their auto-debit process and policies in advance.

I took the loan on 05-10-2023 and paid…

I took the loan on 05-10-2023 and paid all my installments on time. I only missed a few payments due to temporary fund issues, but I later cleared them along with the applicable fines. A Tata Capital employee contacted me for a final settlement, and I paid the settlement amount on time. I also have all the proof and payment receipts in my email showing the full and final settlement of my loan. However, Tata Capital has still not closed my loan.

My question is: if I have already paid the full and final settlement amount, why has my loan still not been closed? How can employees of such a highly respected company handle matters this way?
