Contradictory signage on website.
I adore the coffee syrup Tate and Lyle sell and was so pleased to find I could buy in bulk directly from them rather than scouring the supermarkets to see if they happen to have it in stock.
Even more so to find that I could get free delivery over £20 and there was an offer on!
However, despite signage on the website and a handy little reminder that I'd made the minimum spend for free postage it was still added to my total.
I emailed Tate and Lyle to query this who took two days to reply to tell me that free postage was available over £30... Which isn't what their website says which is annoying but c'est la vie, as long as I'm not doing something wrong at checkout, I just want my syrup. Also, when presented with screenshots that show you the website is clearly showing this I though the normal response is to at least acknowledge the mistake.
Anyway, I went to complete my order at which point the offer was over and my basket had jumped up by £12.
Good news, I now qualify for free postage I guess.
Bad news, I don't really want it anymore.
