Having waited 5 months to get my shower fixed, with numerous excuses abour their new system i will not be using or recommending them again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Appalling service! People here never pick up the phone or answer emails. Booked an afternoon slot and guy turned up at 9AM. Said he couldn't fix my boiler and then turned my gas off because he said it was unsafe and then charged me £150 for the privilege. Was also incredibly rude, aggressive and intimidating. Only used them because they were on Check a trade, no idea how! Complete and utter cowboys!

I have used TB McKay for 20 plus years, now Harbour Trades.
They are now one of the rudest companies I have has the misfortune to use. Not once, this is the 4 th time the call handlers have been abrupt and down right rude. like all so called big companies there is no way to contact the CEO in this case Heather Kiteley. New company required to look after our let properties
We had a gas leak in our home and were supported by Harbour Homes. Ross originally noticed the leak and came back with Lewis, and his superior, Neil - John arrived a little later and was amazing. We live in a old building with awful pipe work, they found the gas leak and fixed it within the day!! Both Lewis and Ross worked through their lunch and stayed late on a Friday - and couldn't be more polite.
Due to bad pipework, there was a leak which was fixed asap. Lewis informed our downstairs neighbour and Ross managed to turn off the mains. Due to this, we left the carpets up and Lewis provided a dehumidifier and will lay the carpets once the flooring has dried - he moved my wardrobe/ plants etc so i was more comfortable. This extra touch really meant a lot.
We were disappointed with Neil's attitude. He came across as quite defensive, didn't inform us of what was happening, then left early leaving the others to deal with the water and gas leak.
Despite this, Lewis, Ross and John provided an excellent service, updating us constantly and they went the extra mile. We can't thank them enough for their service and they represent the best of Harbor homes!
My 100 year old Mum had issues with her hot water tank not heating up. Harbour Multi-Trades we’re absolutely fantastic in their response and a special thank you to Gillian in the office fort keeping me up to speed with what was happening and to Greig the electrician for his quick response in resolving the issue. I am so very impressed with their reactions.
Do not trust this company please.
Advertise a 12 month contract on boilers less than 10 year old for £12 per month, which included an annual service.
They were approached to take over our boiler previously maintained with british gas since new. Now 7 year old.
They advised they would need to complete a pre check/ service initially, despite their web site indicating this was only for boilers over 10 year old.
They then issue an invoice afterwards for £156 and decline the maintenance contract, despite the engineer commenting on the excellent overall condition. The maintenance contract including a service was £144 per annum !!!!
They were clear with initial communication it was they who instigated the visit and accepted the risk. At no point explained the process and charges for accepting/not accepting a contract after this visit, no costs mentioned or quoted.
These are cowboys at best, please avoid any dealings.

Chose TB Mackay because they would install new smoke and C.O. detectors required in Scotland and would also do some plastering repairs. Both jobs were done quickly by very professional, helpful men with no fuss during the latest covid restrictions. Both jobs done in time and price quoted. Very grateful to have both tasks finished. Thank You!

Misdiagnosed a fault. Replaced a part that wasn’t faulty. Boiler still broken but they’re demanding over £200.
They leave mess, don't have respect and have to be recalled .....probably to get more money for yet another call out.....I wouldn't use them
Sitting outside with engine on ..not good. It's loud and if nothing else you're an energy company?? Pn65 .
Highly recommend. They installed my combi-boiler and central heating system and now, as a private landlord, I use them for my annual PAT and gas safety certification. They are always prompt and reliable
