Outstanding care and support from Katie

Outstanding care and support from Katie

I recently visited the Theatre Royal Windsor with my daughter to see Heathers, and I just have to give a huge shoutout to Katie, one of the managers there.

We have access needs, and Katie went above and beyond to make sure we were fully supported throughout our visit. She was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and sympathetic — nothing was too much trouble for her. Given how popular the show is, I can only imagine how busy she must have been, but she made us feel like a real priority and ensured that our day was as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Because of Katie's warmth and dedication, what could have been a stressful experience became a truly special day for both of us. She is an absolute credit to the Theatre Royal Windsor, and it's staff like her that make venues genuinely welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

Thank you so much, Katie — you made our day! 💞

A friend and I went to see The…

A friend and I went to see The Shawshank Redemption on the 18th February. The cast gave a flawless performance and the set established the atmosphere and mood of the play perfectly. The only thing that marred out enjoyment was that the sound was too low and we struggled to hear the actors. We were in Aisle Q. We spoke to several people seated around us and they all said the same thing. Several patrons spoke to the staff, (who are always very warm and friendly) and the sound improved in the second half but could still have benefited from being a little louder. We visit this theatre several times a year and have never had this problem before.

Amazing Cinderella panto

Amazing Cinderella panto, better than the palladium that I saw last week, it’s interactive, funny, traditional everything you want from a pantomime.

the excellent Filamena

Yesterday evening we saw the excellent Filamena at the Theatre Royal, Windsor. This was the most entertaining performance, incredibly well performed, well done to all especially Felicity Kendal and Matthew Kelly. This theatre is a delight to visit, and we always see the best

Don't waste your money

Took my wife to see the jerseys
Had 45 minutes of a very mediocre stand in
They eventually turned up did 30 minutes of pretty poor show.
Then needed 45 minutes break
Then came back on
After having my ears assaulted
We left along with quite a few others
Complained to the theatre. Who said not our problem it wasn't our production

Great production & manager, staff on the floor not so good.

Loved the production of Aladdin. Unfortunately we had an issue with our tickets, the manager was called and was excellent managing to resolve it. The previous colleague who called my 80 year old (partially deaf) mother and the nephews "this Karen with the 2 kids who can't hear me" not so great. I appreciate it's busy and that there was an issue but there was no need for such rudeness said in front of other paying customers to mock her as he knew she couldn't hear.

Avoid Theatre Royal Windsor

Nice theatre BUT if you go by car and park in one of the local car parks you will probably be RIPPED OFF by an on going scam that has been going on for years and that nobody seems to want to do anything about.
Try Googling 'windsor car park rip off' and you will see exactly what I mean.

Massive thank you

Massive thank you. Unfortunately our daughter tested positive so we can’t attend 28th, I called and we were offered a later date or next year (we did have to prove PCR result). In times like this people need to realise it isn’t the theatres fault there is a worldwide pandemic so don’t take it out on them, they are also not a charity and have wages to pay and it’s not their fault people cancel. We look forward for 2022 and are grateful for your help. Happy Christmas Theatre Windsor Royal.

After paying £112.00 for tickets which is very expensive i was really looking forward to going and taking my daughter to her first ever panto. unfortunately, on the day of production I tested positive for covid so sent an email really early that morning hoping to rebook for another day. I had no response and had to call when they opened the phone lines at 10am, after calling over 38 times constantly getting the engaged tone I was told that as I had not given 24hours notice to cancel I was not entitled to rebook or get my money back. they gave no alternative to my predicament and advised me that I needed to give 24 hours notice even though my covid 19 results only came up positive the morning of the show. I believe that this is very unfair considering the situation is unavoidable and I believe they should of tried to accommodate an alternative solution rather than just pocketing a single parents £112.00.

Absolutely disgusted with this company

Absolutely disgusted with this company, disgraceful. Me and my partner booked to see Ian Mckellen play hamlet for July the 7th. We purchased front row seats on April 1st, it is now the 1st of July and we have been informed that we cannot have our seats and will have to rearrange another viewing, which only 5 days before our show. Upset with this we chose to book for another date, to our further dismay we have had our seats downgraded since none are available. I will not be using them again and I would stay clear of this theatre.

We're really sorry to hear of your disappointment. Due to the extension of social distancing measures, it has been an exceptionally challenging and difficult time for us and all Theatres and performing arts venues. We have had the devastating task of reducing our capacity to 50% for each performance, which sadly has meant disappointing customers in honouring a number of bookings for their original date.

Our Box Office Team have been working tirelessly over the past 2 weeks, since the Government's announcement on 14th June, to accommodate as many bookers as possible, and reseat affected patrons in alternative performances as close to their original seats as we can.

We hope you still will be able to join us and enjoy your time with us.

Excellent evening at Theatre Royal, Windsor.

We saw Love From a Stranger last night, 22/10/20. It was our first evening out for some time and we really enjoyed it. Very clever to perform the play as though it was a radio broadcast from a BBC studio, the cast were excellent.
Only disappointment was no ice in my G&T.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE

Booked tickets as a gift for my Son and his Partner, but accidentally booked the incorrect show time. Usually theatre tickets cannot be exchanged but Kathy was extremely helpful in making amendments to ensure that I had the correct tickets. I cannot thank her enough. Kind regards. Jean Irwin
