The FIX is an international mobile device repair and accessories retail franchisor headquartered in New Jersey, United States. The company operates a growing network of over 200 retail stores and kiosks offering smartphone, tablet, and electronic repair services, along with consumer electronics and tech-focused fashion accessories. In addition to its widespread presence across the United States, The FIX also operates locations in Europe. The FIX was founded in 2013 by two co-founders with extensive experience in the retail accessories and tech repair industries. The concept originated from informal meetings in a coffee shop, where the founders envisioned a retail brand that would uniquely combine device repair services with emerging tech fashion and new-to-market consumer electronics. The company began by converting existing “Fix Color N More” kiosks into The FIX-branded outlets. The first flagship store was opened in New Jersey the same year. The brand quickly earned recognition for its fast repair services and customer-first approach, leading to rapid expansion into major shopping malls and retail centers across the United States. In 2020, The FIX added two new partners—long-time executives instrumental in the company’s growth—who played a key role in ensuring operational sustainability and strategic development during a challenging time for retail businesses. In 2024, The FIX introduced its “store-in-store” concept by partnering with Walmart, the largest retailer in the U.S., aiming to make its services even more accessible to local communities. As of 2025, The FIX operates over 200 locations worldwide through a franchise model. Its retail presence spans high-traffic areas such as shopping malls, local centers, and in-store setups within major retail chains like Walmart. The company offers same-day repair services for mobile phones, tablets, and other consumer electronics, as well as a curated range of accessories and smart tech products. Its emphasis on customer experience, innovation, and design has positioned it as a standout brand in the tech repair and retail industry. In addition to its U.S. operations, The FIX has expanded into Europe, establishing stores in select countries. The brand continues to grow its international footprint through strategic partnerships and franchise development, bringing its services and products to a broader global audience.

Scam!
Scam!
After I made an online appointment and spoke to this person on the phone I was informed upon arrival that I would be better off spending an additional $65 for a screen replacement to get an entire frame which he would have to order. He would have to order this. It seemed like this could have been explained and ordered much sooner but okay. I let it go and made another appointment. I prepaid. He said he would email my receipt that I never received. After the repair I see that he only replaced the screen and not the entire frame that we ordered and prepaid for. He said he just got the frame in and could replace it for an additional charge in 30 minutes. Huh?! Pissed off we just wanted to leave and guess what…? He can’t furnish a receipt again! Lesson learned the hard way. If I was alone I may have taken out frustrations on this guy. Luckily a cooler head was there.
Abhorrent "Customer Service"
I have never in my life written a bad review as I’m typically a very understanding person. However, the way I was treated by the personnel at The Fix in Wilmington, NC was so abhorrent I feel compelled to warn others. I dropped my daughter’s tablet off to be repaired and was told it would be ready the next day. I called the next day to verify it was ready and was told it wouldn’t be until the next day. I called on the third day and was yet again told it wouldn’t be ready until the following day. After having the tablet for three days, no explanation for the delays, no communication from the company at all, and refusing to answer if they had even begun work on it, I’d had enough. I told them not to touch the tablet and that I’d be there after work to pick it up and have it fixed elsewhere. The man on the phone essentially told me I was annoying them by “calling hour after hour” (mind you, I’d called a total of three times over three days), and in the middle of me responding that I’d only called once each day he HUNG UP ON ME! I arrived at the store two hours later to pick up the tablet only to be informed that were in the middle of the repair and it wouldn’t be ready for another hour. This is after I’d told them not to touch it as I’d lost all faith and trust in the company. At this point they had the tablet hostage and now that they had performed the work, I would be legally obligated to pay for the services, despite the way I was treated. He insisted they had started work on the tablet the first day, but I fully believe they didn’t do anything until after I told them not to touch it and that I was going to take my business elsewhere. I’m sure the The Fix at other locations is great, but this location is terrible. I highly recommend you take your devices literally anywhere else to be repaired. This location is disorganized, unprofessional, and downright rude!! Yes the tablet is now fixed, but I would’ve been willing to pay triple the cost just to not give these a-holes my money!
Do not recommend
I originally left this review as they pressure you to leave a five star review before you leave the Store➡️Awesome place, fast service, very knowledgeable!➡️ i’m now changing it to a one star review because after leaving on Wednesday, my phone began to lag completely after having a screen repair. I did feel that maybe I needed to give it some time for Apple to adjust everything but by the next day, my phone stopped charging and kept going Black screen and dead. I took it back in that Thursday and a totally different man was in there who told me that I needed a battery replacement. I stood my ground and said I need you to look at it because it wasn’t draining the battery prior to the screen replacement. He looked at it and said oh yes, you need a battery replacement so I dropped another $80 for a battery replacement. I get home and its lagging worse than it ever was so on Friday my husband and I took it back to a set of twins who are completely different than the other people that worked there and they plug it into their charger and say “look I’ve been watching YouTube and it’s not lagging”. I questioned why Apple is telling me that my display is not recognized that my battery is not recognized and now my camera is not recognized. He calls someone on the phone and speaks in a different language regarding the day that I came in and the gentleman on the phone says he had to replace the camera because it was cracked. My camera was not cracked, which means that if he had to replace the camera it’s because he broke it when he was trying to fix the screen. No one said to me they would be replacing my camera although I was not charged for it, It is still disturbing. I can’t even run my business properly because I utilize my phone for nearly everything I do running my business. I can’t even make phone calls without it locking up. I’ve had to do a soft reset about 20 times a day just to get it to work. I went in today, waited for them to be open, get upstairs and the gate is closed even though it claims they’re open and it says they’ll be back at 5:15 on there, we will be back Sign. This is very, very, very frustrating, I do not recommend getting your phone fixed here. It sounds like they use third-party aftermarket parts that mess up your phone.
Unprofesional and unethical, company and technicians
They replaced my cracked screen, and while installing the new one, they cut the small wire connection that controls the volume buttons. So my volume would go down but not back up, and also i couldn't take a screenshot because you have to use the volume button to take one.
I went back to the store and complaint but i was told that the guy who worked on my phone was not there and i should go back sometime when he was there, since he was responsible for the work and not the one i was talking to. He also said that he knows exactly what has happened, and it is easy to make that mistake, but he can't fix it because it was someone else's fault and not his.
After I said that, this is not acceptable, and what happens when an employee leaves for a two-week vacation, does the customer have to wait until he comes back? How about if he moves to another state? Do i have to go to that state to get my phone fixed? Then he said that he doesn't have the part in stock, or otherwise he would have fixed it.
Deflecting the responsibility seems like a store policy.
Also, instead of charging the battery, they replaced it with a cheaper aftermarket one. I guess they like to sell parts while keeping the originals.
I'm being told that the guy who worked on my iPhone has been fired due to many customer complaints and bad reviews on Google, but that doesn't help me any since i have to pay out of pocket $240.00 for a full replacement or $140.00 for just the strip that controls the volume buttons.
Oh yes, the new guy there offered to do it for $110.00 as a courtesy discount.
Yes, one can take legal action, but they know that hardly anyone would lose their valuable time to take the legal route here. So, my advice is to... Stay away from this company and its technicians.
The FIX La Porte is GREAT
A.J. at The FIX La Porte location sold us a case for an iPhone 17 Pro and also two screen protectors and did a great job with helping us decide which cover and which screen protectors.
The prices for everything were amazingly affordable and the service we received was far better than anywhere, including the Apple Store.
I got my phone screen repaired at The…
I got my phone screen repaired at The Fix in downtown Annapolis on April 20, 2026, and within 24 hours my phone was in worse condition than when I brought it in.
Before the repair, my phone had no lines, flickering, or LCD issues—it just needed a basic screen fix. The very next day, a vertical line appeared and the screen started glitching and twitching. That damage was not there before they touched my phone.
The way the whole transaction was handled also raised concerns. I paid cash and was not given a receipt until I specifically asked for one. The employee had to look around for a receipt book, and when I finally received it, nothing was explained—no warranty, no terms, no breakdown of charges.
I was never asked to sign anything before the repair, and I did not knowingly sign anything after. However, the receipt contains fine print saying “by signing” you agree to their terms, which were never reviewed with me.
The pricing is also questionable. The receipt shows $90 plus $8 tax, but Maryland sales tax is 6%, which would be $5.40. There was no explanation for the difference.
There is also no documentation of the phone’s condition before the repair, yet I am now left with LCD damage that costs significantly more to fix than the original issue.
So at this point, I paid for a repair, my phone is worse than before, and I’m left with a bigger problem and no clear accountability.
I will be going back to request a full refund and will pursue further action if this is not resolved.
If you’re considering this place, make sure you document everything, ask questions upfront, and don’t leave without understanding exactly what you’re agreeing to.

I drove over an hour to get my battery…
I drove over an hour to get my battery replaced on my iPhone 13 and when I picked it up it was at 71% battery life. By the time I got home(one hour) it was at 30% and I only made a 10 min phone call. I let it get to 1% and fully charged it back up. Was barely on it and within just 3 hours it was dead again. I called the store and he said it must be a circuit board problem. He wanted me to drive another 2 hours round trip to bring it back in if I wanted my money back bc he wanted the battery. He then hung up on me. I called the "corporate" office and a guy just answered saying hello. He gave me another run around and basically argued with me. I would NOT waste my time with these people!!
This place is a total scam
This place is a total scam. I went in to get my charging port fixed on my telephone. The employee that worked there could not get off his phone to even to begin to wait on me. I was the only one in the store when he did finally decide to wait on me, I was told that they could replace the charging port. I later found out after going into the Apple Store that that is impossible. They flat out lied to me. And then charged me $150 for nothing. DO NOT Spend you money here!!! I am sure that there will be a clap back to this post. But every word I have said is true. This place is a scam.

THEIR SCREEN'S QUALITY IS VERY POOR
THEIR SCREEN'S QUALITY IS VERY POOR. WITH APPLES SCREENS MY OHINE DROPPED A MILLION TIMES AND NT 1 X DID IT CRACK, I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REOPLACE THE NEW SCREEN. ALSO MY BATTERY LIFE RUNS OUT QUICKLY NOW AND MY CAMERA LENSES ARE POOR QUALITY, WHEN MY BATTER GETS TO 18% MY SCREEN FREEZES AND GLITCHED AND WONT RECOGNIZE MY TOUCH. I LOOKED UP ABOUT WHY MY PHONE WOULD HAVE THESE ISSUES AND MY BATTERY EVEN WHEN MY PHONE TURNED GREEN STILL HAD NO ISSUES AS MY ALRM WOUKD GO OFF AND I WOULDNT BE ABLE TO TURN IT OFF SO I HAD TO WAIT FOR THE BATTERY TO DIE DAYS LATER, SO I KNOW THAT WITH MY SCREEN TURNIG GREEN IT DIDINT EFFECT MY BATTERY LIFE. THE FIRST REPLACEMENT I GOT MY PHOEN AND IT WOULD NT RECOGNIZE MY TOUCH AND IT WOULD GLITCH MY BATTERY DIED WITHIN A HOUR I TOOK IT IN AND HE FOUND THE ISSUE IT WAS THE AIR DROP FEATURE WAS TURNED ON- I NEVER USE THAT FEATURE SO WHY WAS IT EVEN TURNED ON. I HAD A BUNCH OF PICTURES OF THE CASH REGISTERS IN FROM TO THE STORE AND IM WONDERING WHY HE WAS TAKING PICTURES? TO MAKE SURE MY CAMERA WAS WORKING? WHY? 1 PICTURE COULD BE GOOD ENOUGH RIGHT? ALSO HE HAD MY PASSCDE SO HE COULD GET INTO ANYTHING THAT HE WANTED, S MY PHOTOS THAT ARE LOCKED? I HAD THEM REPLACE MY SCREEN AGAIN THIS TIME I HAD TO LEAVE IT OVER NIGHT AGAIN,, WHEN I GOT MY PHONETHERE WERE NO PICTURES IN MY TRASH, NOT OICUTRES TAKEN AND THE AIR DROP FEATURE WASNT TURNED ON,, SO NOW IM WONDERING IS ANYONE ELSE HAVNG ISSUES WITH THIS ON THEIR PHONES THIS IS WHAT GOOGLE SAID BUT I STILL BELIEVE 100% THAT THEY SWITCHED MY LENSES OUT BECAUSE I HAVE PRINTED THESE PICTURES THAT LOOK POOR QUALITY AND ITS NOT THE SCREEN THEY ARE REALLY TAKING POOR QUALITY PICTURES.
Would your battery drain quickly from after market screen replaced :
Inefficient screen, Non-original or low-quality replacement screens are often less efficient and can drain more power trying to display images or adjust backlighting.
Front camera sensor issues: A faulty front camera/sensor assembly, often disturbed during a screen replacement, can cause the screen brightness to fluctuate uncontrollably and drain the battery.
THIS STILL DOESNT TELL ME ABPOUT MY BACK CAMERAS
Concerning.
Assistant said there was no warranty/guarantee in services. Had minor scratches where Samsung s23 ultra was opened. S Pen no longer functions. Despite asking if legitimate Samsung products would be used and being told yes, I have my concerns.
