I loved how they match you with a tutor based on your requests and needs, it made the process a whole lot smoother and quicker!

I had Dr Joshua Bannister as my tutor, for my second year engineering mathematics resit, where we covered, laplace, fourier, integration, and partial differentiation equations. Josh is extremely knowledgeable on every subject I raised with him, and it was great to have such a good teacher that actually works one on one with you. He definitely made me realise how much I actually do like maths and want to keep going with it. We also managed to get it done in only 3 weeks, from starting lessons and revision to the actual resit.

I came to The Profs after failing my Professional ACA Level exams (Financial Accounting and Reporting) and they introduced me to Dr. Bola; I had my resit less than 8 weeks away.
Dr. Bola gave me an immediate plan and pushed me through the content even with this time pressure he led me to success. He never stopped believing in my potential and essentially taught me the whole syllabus to a high degree and had time for question practice after finishing the syllabus.
His high degree of knowledge of Financial Accounting and his teaching skills led me from a 40% fail in my first attempt to a 63% pass.
I cannot thank him enough for his help under time pressure and would highly recommend him to any student who is struggling to get to grips and pass their ACA exams or Financial Accounting exams!

I’m incredibly grateful for the support and guidance I received from my tutor (Bess) throughout my art dissertation. She helped explain information in a way that was best suited to me. Her feedback was constructive and always helped me develop my ideas with confidence. She supported me not only with the academic side of my dissertation, but also in strengthening my critical thinking and developing my ideas as an art student that I’ll carry forward with me.

They found a good tutor quickly and I was able to start lessons pretty much immediately.

I had a great experience working with Dr. Klaudia while preparing for my biochemistry exam. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, supportive and always very well prepared for every lesson. She has a great way of explaining difficult concepts clearly and making complicated topics much easier to understand.

What I appreciated most was how much effort she put into my preparation. She provided me with helpful materials and practice questions, adapted the lessons to the areas I needed to work on, and was always willing to answer my questions. She was also very encouraging throughout the whole process, which really helped build my confidence before the exam.

Thanks to her guidance, I went into my exam feeling much more prepared and I passed. I’m very grateful for all her help and would definitely recommend Dr. Klaudia to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, reliable and genuinely caring tutor. ❤️

I had a great experience with The Profs in preparing for my university exam resits. With limited time before my Engineering Mathematics exam, Eloise was very helpful and quickly matched me with Dr Joshua Bannister, whom I would highly recommend. We covered a wide range of topics in a short time, including Laplace transforms, differential equations and matrices. Joshua explained these complex topics in a way that was easy to understand and taught me methods that were straightforward to apply in the exam. He also made sure I understood the fundamentals of each topic, giving me a strong foundation to build on.

I worked with Mike Luya for post-graduate admissions to Machine Learning programmes in the UK. Mike was extremely professional, fun and easy to work with. He is a natural coach, who can balance critical feedback and maintain a sense of safety. The entire process was well designed; throughout the process, I got a clearer idea of who I was and what my motivations were. This was inserted carefully into my application materials.

I learned a great deal about writing a statement of purpose/CV and writing in general. I enjoyed our editing sessions very much; I had never before edited a single document over 3 months. And of course, I got into all 3 courses that I applied to (UCL MS ML, Edinburgh MS AI, University of Amsterdam MSc AI), and I started at one today!

As a bonus, I also got shortlisted and interviewed for a Phd position and got 3 job offers along the way using the same materials.

The Profs helped me identify Nilay Arun as a tutor to support me through the CFA Level I process, and I couldn’t have made a better choice. Nilay is simply brilliant, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a CFA tutor.

For me, it was particularly important to have a tutor with an in-depth knowledge of the syllabus who I could quiz, challenge, and ask to delve deeper into even the most difficult topics. Nilay never failed to impress me. He consistently found ways to simplify complex concepts and explain them in a way that genuinely made sense to me.

I should also add that my background is in Geography rather than Finance, so the CFA curriculum was a significant learning curve for me. With Nilay’s support, however, I went into the exam feeling confident in my preparation and am feeling positive about my pending result.

If and when I decide to take CFA Level II, I’m sure I’ll be knocking on Nilay’s door again!

I found the professor I worked with professional and extremely helpful. The website is great, it has many useful features however there was a small issue with syncing the professor’s screen and mine. I like the recordings feature. I was able to go back to anything I needed from the lessons during revision.

Simón was such a huge help in my understanding of topics that I find difficult. Furthermore, with his help I have started to really enjoy those classes I was finding difficult in the beginning

I have an urgent university project that I needed some guidance on. I spent time having a call with Issy at The Profs, who said I can deal with the tutor by email to get guidance on time management/how to get the work done. The tutor kept trying to book a meeting instead and then told me he never agreed to giving any advice by email, leaving me 3 days with no help and all offices now closed. Complete waste of time.

The 121 tuitions are very helpful, they put a lot of structure into the revision. My tutor Bola has been most helpful, before contacting him I have failed the exam twice and I have passed now. He guided me well and is very knowledgeable. I could ask any questions without worrying to sound silly and he would always give me clear answer. I’m very happy with the decision I made of signing up to TheProfs.

I needed to resit a maths paper for my second year Mechanical Engineering degree at Nottingham University and The Profs recommended Dr Joshua Bannister. Right from the first lesson Josh was friendly and approachable and able to explain some very complicated topics, like Partial Differential Equations and Fourier series so I could understand the reasoning behind each calculation not just how to get an answer which helped a lot when seeing a new/ different format of question on a past paper. He was really flexible and accommodating and fitted in extra lessons as the exam approached. I went in feeling much more confident, didn’t run out of time and could use my time effectively since I understood each step of each question. I would highly recommend Josh to anyone in a similar situation especially engineers.

Profs was recommended to me when my daughter needed tuition through her final year of her nursing degree for the academic writing element. Nervous about using services and tutors plucked off the internet, I trusted the recommendation and it was the best thing I ever did. Genuine professional experts in their field, who completely understood that you can be amazing at patient care, pass every exam with flying colours but not write in a language that is completely alien to most of us. The university offered no support at all. Dr Paul, the tutor, was absolutely brilliant in guiding and supporting and I was the proudest Mum on earth when my daughter passed her degree. Thank you Profs, keep supporting those students out there that need it to achieve because not all educational institutions or lecturers are doing it.
