The customer service is easy to access and you can get full refund if the item is proven to be problematic. However it doesn't fully relieve the disappointment of receiving a non-authentic Chanel jacket. Would advise to check the label marks thoroughly after receiving valuable items.

NEGLECT IN PACKAGING
Negligent packing — vintage Chanel belt severely damaged in transit. You had ONE job!
I have no trust in The Realreal or the Service Model
I purchased a vintage gold-plated Chanel belt from The RealReal, and the way this item was packaged for international shipping was completely inadequate for a valuable and fragile vintage piece.
As a result of the poor packaging, the belt was severely damaged in transit, to the point that it was effectively beyond its useful life. This should have been entirely avoidable. Properly packing a valuable vintage item for shipping is not difficult, it is basic responsibility.
What made an already bad situation considerably worse was the customer service experience. What should have been a straightforward matter turned into months of hassle and frustration. I found it extremely difficult to get the issue resolved, and on multiple occasions The RealReal simply hung up on me. Emails unaswered. Customer service was largely uninterested in taking responsibility or making the process easy.
I have also spent months trying to recover the import taxes associated with the damaged item and am still pursuing this refund.
The financial loss has been significant. Hundreds of dollars lost because The RealReal failed to adequately protect the item during shipping.
The simple lesson here is: just pack valuable items properly in the first place. It’s not hard.
After this experience, I will never buy from The RealReal again

As a guy who has always loved clothes, The RealReal is a gift. My favorites are the USA made Freenote Cloth and Hiroshi Kato brands. TRR has opened up a whole new world to my never ending search for these top quality American made brands at a great price.

Items are not quality tested not are they tested for authenticity. Have received jewelry items that were not thoroughly inspected, so they were misrepresented. They were missing stones or were completely not gold as listed in their description. Buyer beware.

I had been looking for a pink LV Capucines in the BB size for a while. I visited the LV store in Atlanta but the pink was so light, it looked white. My husband suggested looking online for a pre-loved one in a different shade of pink. And I found my perfect shade at TRR! It arrived quickly and in perfect condition, as described. Thank you!!

Quality control needs to be a major…
Quality control needs to be a major focus. I look at maybe 10% of TRRs website and I cannot tell you the mistakes I've seen. Clothes with holes, items with measurements listed as "bust 00 inches, hips 00 inches or bust 100 " hips 100 inches and inseam 9 inches.
Several times I have purchased articles that gave specific measurements which, when received, were way off. I will be returning tomorrow a pair of slacks which were sold to me with a waist of 29 inches but in fact were 34 inches and much too big. This is not the first, second or even third time it has happened, its quite common. I have received items which were sold as excellent which in fact were stained and filthy .
The other issue is the shipping cost. $14.95 to receive and $14.95 to return is like paying $32 to enter a dressing room. And when the listed description of the item is so often wrong, it's really frustrating and unfair.
