I was disappointed with the shoe, which looked very worn out. At least they would have cleaned it to a reasonable condition and not sent a very dirty shoe.

The dress I received is not authentic... or it's a prototype. I ordered the actual dress from Staud to compare because I was shocked at how sheer and poor quality the dress I received from Real Real was. Two completely different dresses! I will never order from Real Real again, there is no quality control!

The scarf I purchased was beautiful and in the exact condition described. I received it very quickly as well.

They lost my consignment, and it’s now been 2 months and I still haven’t been paid for it. Every time I send an email trying to get more information/trying to get paid back for my lost item they say the same exact thing which is basically “we are sorry please wait 3-5 days for a resolution” and it’s just the same cycle over and over again.

So happy I found this company!

Overall I’m happy with the purchase and would shop with The RealReal again. The jacket arrived in excellent condition and actually looked better in person than it did in the listing.

My biggest criticism is the lack of information available before purchasing compared to Grailed. There is no way to ask questions beforehand, request additional photos, confirm measurements, or make offers. When you’re spending thousands of dollars on luxury items, those things make a big difference.

Listings could also be more detailed. In my case, the jacket was described as having minor discoloration on the back when it was actually on the collar and wasn’t shown in the photos. It turned out to be very minor and cleaned up easily, but I only found that out after it arrived.

More photos, more detailed measurements and descriptions, and the ability to communicate with sellers before purchasing would make buying expensive luxury items much more confidence-inspiring.

Love love love the bag, but it came in a dust bag that had two large stains near the opening, making me a little worried about what they’re from & the state of the bag!

The consignment team has been courteous and eager to help. If they keep this trend, I will consider consigning more items with them.
