Your new pay for returns or its final sale is a pain. I did pay for my item and the return insurance and now waiting 48hrs to hear back from them. I will think twice before shopping again. I understand there are people who purchase items, use them and return them. You can refuse those returns instead of punishing the rest of us who got the item and realized it was not what they wanted. You may say “not everything has the return insurance” that’s hollow as everything I looked at that. Not pleased you’re not a small mom and pop shop

My bag arrived broken. The strap and the connector were detached on one side from the connector on the frame. I was able to get it repaired but it was not something that was divulged on the description or in pictures before placing my order. Overall, my experiences recently with this platform have been less than what they used to be. Searches for designers often don’t appear in the drop-down even when those designers are actually represented for the category; descriptions are lacking; and the recently implemented “Return Guarantee” feels disingenuous, adding a hefty fee to return a “final sale” product when everything is now final sale. But I’m mostly disappointed in this last experience since the hallmark of this platform is that it does the due diligence most other resale platforms don’t do and scrutinize merchandise for authenticity and condition. When that isn’t reliable, I’m not sure why consumers should choose TheRealReal.

I purchased these Tom Ford sunglasses for my husband’s birthday in the gold frames. He doesn’t currently own any gold-frame sunglasses, so I thought they would be a great addition to his collection. After shopping around, the price point was amazing, especially since he had also asked for another pair of name-brand sunglasses. But I knew The RealReal would come through for me! 🙌🏽

The sunglasses arrived exactly as described—brand new, with the tags still attached and the original box. My only complaint is that I wish they had come with the Tom Ford bag. Other than that, I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and can’t wait to see his reaction! 😎🎁

I handbag in my wallet is not in good shape it's the most completely worn out and the wallet has a hole in it and a one corner of the purse there's almost a hole as well not happy at all trying to figure out how to send it back but on the website it's hard to find out how to send it back I just got it a few days ago and it tells me that I have no purchases for August. I will never buy from this company again!!!!!

The sweater was listed as a Women’s size M. It is actually Young Girl’s size M. Clarity would’ve been helpful. The product is in very good condition but it could not be used. We will keep it to be used by our daughter when she is old enough. Delivery was efficient otherwise.

no update on an order that got mis shipped

Great purchase - got a top quality item for way cheaper than expected (I thought this place only sold ridiculously expensive fashion items but got some Hunter boots for less than $50). Would recommend.

I bought a beautiful Louis Vuitton t-shirt it was just as pictured and described in perfect condition I would purchase from the seller and the real real again and I would recommend purchasing from the real real great experience

Staff is always helpful

Arrived in timely manner but I was surprised to discover a stain on the Bottega Veneta bad I purchased, which was not showcased in any of the pictures nor mentioned on anywhere on the products link.

Packaging and quality of the product were perfection! Didn’t even need to gift wrap because the packaging was so pretty!

I’m extremely disappointed with my first experience with The RealReal. I ordered four Vince cashmere sweaters, all the same size, expecting that The RealReal’s inspection and condition ratings would make buying secondhand designer clothing more reliable than purchasing directly from individual sellers.
Three of the sweaters were fine. The fourth absolutely was not.
The sweater had clearly been badly shrunken—the sleeves were noticeably too short for what was supposed to be a full-length sleeve, and the fibers had the dense, compacted feel of a sweater that had been improperly washed or dried. It also had a hole in the arm and pink residue/gunk around the back of the neckline.
None of these problems were disclosed in the listing, despite the sweater being represented as being in very good/excellent condition.
To The RealReal’s credit, they accepted the return. However, I was then charged approximately $15 for the return of an item that was materially different from the condition described in the listing. That is what I find particularly unacceptable. I did not return the sweater because I changed my mind, disliked the color, or didn’t like the fit. I returned it because significant damage and condition issues were not disclosed.
The entire reason I chose The RealReal was because I expected a professional resale company to have consistent inspection standards and accurately disclose flaws. I was willing to pay more for secondhand clothing because I believed I was getting that additional level of quality control.
After this experience, I no longer have confidence in their condition ratings. If an obviously shrunken sweater with a hole and visible residue can be listed in very good/excellent condition, I have to wonder what their inspection process actually entails.
A return fee should not be charged when the reason for the return is an inaccurate condition description. The RealReal should refund that fee and seriously improve its quality-control process.

Received quickly and on a payment plan.

They are my go-to for consigning items. They are responsive and communication is an A+. There is really no fear factor to sending them items. I can always request them back and they honor that - plus, they are always professional.
