Great dash cam.
I’ve had the Thinkware U3000 pro for 3 months and so far it’s been brilliant. You have to disconnect your phone from the car before you connect to the camera but when this is done, connecting is good. Very easy to view the footage on the camera or download into my iPhone to keep.
Sharing the footage is simple too.
The current draw is low so shouldn’t drain the battery if left on parking mode. The parking radar function is good too. It saves footage of people walking around the car, if that is of particular use to you. Highly recommended so far.
Worse service
THINKWARE has the worse customer service and products. The product most times did not connect up to the remote service which I paid for and at times would not work at all. I had complained about it many times and never did they resolve it. Now they tell me if I want to cancel the subscription and just use the normal features. Stay away from this company. Spent a lot of money on the dash cam it’s self t700. Find a better company for your dash cam needs.
I had the Thinkware U1000 plus front…
I had the Thinkware U1000 plus front and rear cameras fitted just over a year ago, spending £450!!!
I am unable to view any footage as i have an Apple iphone - Thinkware does not work on an iphone.
Had i known this I would never have purchased Thinkware - there should be a warning on any advertising before people waste their money as its only suitable if you have an android phone.
Wasted weeks of my time
Wasted weeks of my time, zero accountability
Dealing with Thinkware customer support has been an absolute nightmare.
Since January 8, 2026, I’ve been trying to fix a simple issue: my dash cam is locked to an account that was deleted and needs to be deregistered.
For WEEKS, the first customer support agent did nothing but send generic “we’re working on it” emails. They never told me they needed any additional information. They just let the ticket sit while pretending it was being handled.
Only after I kept reaching out multiple times did they finally admit — on January 27, 2026 — that they actually needed my device UUID or serial number to proceed. I provided it immediately the same day.
And then?
Nothing.
No response.
No reset.
No resolution.
So to summarize:
• First support agent wasted weeks of my time with fake progress emails
• They didn’t request the required info until I kept pushing
• I provided it immediately
• They still did absolutely nothing
This is not customer support — it’s incompetence and stalling.
I will be taking this issue everywhere I can and making it public until it is fixed. I will not stop bringing attention to this problem until my device is properly deregistered and usable again.
If you enjoy being trapped in an endless loop of copy-paste replies while your expensive hardware becomes unusable, then Thinkware is the brand for you. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration and buy literally anything else.
I will never purchase another Thinkware product again.
Originally had a f750 dash cam plus…
Originally had a f750 dash cam plus rear camera and in all honesty the thing did what it was intended to for about a week then did everything but. Wifi wouldn't turn on and if I turned it on manually within 1 minute it would turn itself off. Powering up the camera would result in it running through start up and when it started parking recording it would just turn off. Tried all the suggested thinkware solutions but none worked. For the money thinkware charge for their garbage is insulting. I have since ripped the camera off the windscreen and as I was driving on the freeway at 100km launched the thing out the window and in my rear view mirror watched it explode as it hit the ground and bounced itself into oblivion. Take it from me it's much easier and less stressful buying a cheap camera off Temu or Allie express because they work unlike thinkware who charge ridiculous prices for absolute garbage. Just goes to show and is clearly evident when companies are only interested in making money and couldn't care less about people who buy their rubbish because support was even more less caring and just couldn't be bothered trying to solve my issue when I contacted them the half dozen times I reached out.
Never again
DO NOT BUY THINKWARE DASHCAMS!!
DO NOT BUY THINKWARE DASHCAMS!!! THE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK
I was involved in an accident today in a 4 car pile up and the Thinkware cam caught literally NOTHING!!! It shows footage of me at home when I turned the car on and then the next bit of footage was when everyone was out of the cars and walking around already!? WTF.
There were 2 massive impacts at 100kms/hr. One where I hit the car at the front and the next from behind when the car hit me extremely hard and completely totalled his car. And I have NO FOOTAGE!!!???
Disgraceful product. Do not even bother
Total waste of time and money
I bought a Q1000 front and rear dash camera in February 2024. I bought it directly from Thinkware. To this day it has never worked. I spent hours over a course of several weeks with customer service. I kept the faith they would work it out but they never did. I ran out of time and patience with it. I deeply regret not returning it when I had the chance. Now it’s just expensive trash. It’s very poorly designed. It creates tiny one-minute video files. So an hour commute ends up with hundreds of files. It requires 2 apps to run the camera—and good luck ever getting them to stay connected. Video clips can’t be viewed over a cellular connection. You have to use a WiFi connection—and not a hotspot. And pull out the SD card and go view it—hundreds of non-searchable files. So much for ever showing an officer at a wreck what happened. It’s a total waste. Beware of glowing reviews on their website by “anonymous” posted the same day or just days apart. They clearly think people are stupid.
F100and f200 pro
I have had 2 thinkware dash camera first the f100
After 2years gps connect pin faulty
So I purchased the f200 pro knowing that I could update over the app, so no needt touch the camera, 32 months later gps connect fell of circuit board
Obviously a problem
They are not interested
Don't buy this product
Virtually unuseable
Virtually unuseable. Had nothing but problems with my T700 and it wasn’t cheap. It won’t connect automatically and has no battery backup despite being hard wired. So…I have to start my car up in order to access it. Support is dreadful. Would NEVER buy another one.
No thinking from "Thinkware"
I'd like to speak with the incompetent fvckwits who designed this shitheap they call a "dash cam."
I spent over 450 pounds including fitting of a thinkware Q1000 dashcam - a price which you'd think should buy you camera quality that at least rivals that of an iPhone 5 from 2012 - but, amazingly, it doesn't! Low light performance is especially dismal, with night video looking like it could have been recorded on a Nokia flip phone from the 1990s.
Unless you're literally tailgating the car in front of you 2 inches from their rear bumper, good luck getting anyone's plate at night! It seems frankly ridiculous that a car could potentially hit you and speed off without this dim-witted excuse for a camera even catching a glimpse of their plate. This camera genuinely reproduces numbers and letters with the same accuracy as an AI image generator - just a load of muddled up gibberish.
U1000
I’ve had the U1000 for just a bit over 2 years. It completely died. I believe it may have just simply been cooked sitting so close to the windscreen? Thinkware offered to check it out for free and let me know of it could be repaired, the answer was no, it was completely useless and the only option was to buy another! No thanks, not at their extortionate price for something that simply doesn’t last! While it seems that they were helpful with the free diagnosis of the problem, that was the end of any further help for an expensive unit that lasted only 2 years. Avoid this brand.
Had the QA200 installed
Had the QA200 Thinkware installed. It states it notifies lane change speed cameras etc but all it does is beep. How do I know which beep it has alerted me to. Totally useless and wish I had done more research
Worth the money
Worth the money. My U1000 has saved me twice, one of which was for a hit and run while parked.
IMO best dashcam on market
IMO best dashcam on market. Tried 2 other brands but replaced them both with F770 Thinkware for my Volvo .
Their customer service support is first rate
Hard to get the data
This company is a complete SCAM
This company is a complete SCAM! Do NOT buy their products! It’s been an absolute nightmare for me since day 1!! I spent nearly 1000$ on the u3000 back in September 2024. Right out of the box I had SO many issue, not one part of the unit worked as promised. The entire dash cam was completely useless. I mean it wouldn’t record, wouldn’t work for any of the live monitoring, like literally useless. I initially thought it was me so I called Thinkware to get some help setting it up. I spent hours upon hours on the phone with them trying to troubleshoot it, in the end they also couldn’t tell me what was wrong with it and couldn’t get it set up. After some back and fourth (and over 3 months time) they finally agreed to exchange the unit. I wish this is where this nightmare ended, but it’s not. I wait a couple weeks finally got my new camera went to hook it up and yet again had the exact same issue. Got back on the phone with Thinkware spent another 6 plus hours trying to troubleshoot it with them, and again at the end of it all they could not get it set up or tell me what was wrong with it. They then stated they were escalating it to their “level 2 team” and to give them a week and they would have the level 2 team call me. I waited and waited. I got a call from them about 10 days later. The guy on the phone did 0 troubleshooting with me. Asked me to confirm the issue, I did. He then said ok I’ll be in touch. This was January 17,2025. Nearly 4 full months after buying this unit. Here we are now at February 7, 2025. I have been emailing them and getting no response. I have asked multiple times to refund me my money as the unit had not worked since the day I bought it. They continue to ignore my request. Here I am now with a 900$ paper weight and no farther ahead then I was the day I bought it. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from any products made from this company!!
Tried to set up again on new phone
Tried to set up again on new phone. Absolutely crap. In old app think view cloud. Connect’s then disconnects. If advised app dashcam link connect to wifi Thinkware but app does sweet FA . Does not connect. Yes I have updated firmware and reset the cam Wish i never brought it. Will advise anyone not to buy
I wish I could give a 0 star
I wish I could give a 0 star. I have 2 previous versions of thinkware dashcams so wanted an upgrade from the same company. Went through hell trying to order one from their website, the customer service is atrocious. Took me 6 days to finally get one ordered. Then it came and there was no file to upgrade the firmware on the microSD card as stated there was, card is completely blank. Contacted them and they sent me a bunch of this and that, that would not download. So, I will not be able to upgrade the firmware making the unit no good in a matter of a few short months. I am thoroughly disgusted with this company and their lack of support to a returning customer. I cannot recall being so infuriated with any other company.
Overly complicated set up
Overly complicated set up, which seems to have issue on issue. Poor ability to connect to WiFi reliably. Thinkware Connected looks like a really useful system, but owing to the WiFi connectivity issues, really is just a gimmick with its unusable features. As echoed by other reviewers the Customer Care department don't deliver any customer service, merely ignoring contact.
The U3000 dashcam is very expensive but…
The U3000 dashcam is very expensive but at the meantime, with issues after 1-2 years. It's not worth to pay so much money for 1-2 years.
