Deceptive Policies, Terrible Customer Service

TickPick is fine, until it isn't. Because they make all their money from sellers, they will prioritize sellers over buyers every time.

When a seller sent me a ticket that was a far worse seat than the one they had listed (two rows closer to the stage, but all the way on the side of the theater), Tickpick told me my seat had been "upgraded" and that their policy was that sellers could provide buyers with a different ticket than the one they bought if the new ticket was considered comparable or better. Whether or not it is considered comparable or better is at their discretion. When I told them that this ticket was for a Broadway show with a massive set, flying stunts, etc. in a theater where other audience members had recommended sitting further back in order to take in the whole view and had also stated how important it was to be seated centrally to not miss parts of the action or to have the view obstructed by set pieces on the sides of the stage, they told me repeatedly that it was a better ticket because it was two rows closer. When I pointed out that the theater sold the seat the seller had provided at a much cheaper price than the seat the seller had originally listed, and offered this as objective proof that the theater considered the new seat to be worse, they didn't care. After 3 emails and a 30 minute phone call, they offered me a $20 TickPick credit. Not a refund, but a credit. And not an amount that came anywhere close to covering the difference in value between the two seats.

It looks like the seller has multiple tickets for sale. I suspect the seller is taking advantage of this TickPick policy to deceive multiple buyers and have higher profit margins. Tickpick gets a cut every time they sell. Because TickPick has no way to review sellers, there is no way to warn future buyers.

Their customer service is terrible. And it is absurd to me that their policy is that they allow a seller to give you a different ticket than the one your purchased. That alone destroys all trust for me.

I spent almost 700$ a ticket and I…

I spent almost 700$ a ticket and I wanted a hard copy of the ticket so I could cherish it. I’ve been on the phone with two separate people and was told my tickets are cheap and also I cannot have the physical copy. There was no prompt or option to obtain these hard copies. This industry is absolute shit and they are shitting on hood hard working class people with this attitude.

We understand the disappointment here, especially when attending a special event and hoping to have something physical to keep afterward. However, as a secondary marketplace, TickPick does not issue or control the ticket format provided for events. Many venues and sellers now use mobile-only ticketing, which means physical hard copies are not always available.

We also want to clarify that our team is here to help, but we do expect interactions with our agents to remain respectful, even when frustrations arise.

We always aim to make ticket delivery details as clear as possible throughout the purchasing process so customers know what to expect before completing their order.

We’re sorry to hear the lawn experience did not meet expectations. Lawn sections are general admission areas managed by the venue, and sightlines or crowd conditions can vary depending on attendance and arrival time. While those aspects are outside of our control as the ticket marketplace, we appreciate the feedback and hope the rest of the event was enjoyable.

Our platform allows sellers to review and confirm all listing details before tickets are posted for sale. If there are ever questions or confusion during the process, our team is available to help before a listing goes live. To protect buyers and maintain a trusted marketplace, seller policies are enforced consistently when incorrect information is provided. While mistakes can happen, completing the listing confirmation means the details were reviewed prior to the sale.
