We purchased tiles to cover 100m2 we…

We purchased tiles to cover 100m2 we chose the Kanzi natural tile which looks lovely but as our tiler began the job he realised that more and more of the tiles were damaged. We have even had one tile crack since being laid. We reported this to customer services and were told that we should have opened and inspected all 492 tiles we had delivered before we arranged for the tiler to start the works! We suspect that the first pallet was damaged in the warehouse as we've had numerous damaged tiles. Either the tiles are difficult to cut and damage easily or more likely they were fragile where they'd been damaged before delivery bearing in mind they're porcelain and should be pretty tough.

We also had the adhesive delivered which was hard and we had to take the bags back to the Reading branch and get a new lot, which cost us time and money. I would say that although the staff in Reading were initially really helpful, since the ongoing issues we've had, they have gone quiet and customer services keep referring me to their ridiculous policy that all tiles must be checked on delivery. I have now invited them to come and check the rest of the tiles themselves while we search for another tiler that wants to take on the challenge. Bearing in mind we've spent over £4k with this company, the customer service aftercare is shocking! We await site visit which cannot be done until after 8th June due to staff shortages. The nightmare continues!

There is no reason to have a terrible…

There is no reason to have a terrible customer service in 2026. Unreachable! Ordered 90 boxes of tiles and trims. The trims have not been delivered and there is no one replying to my emails, telephone number sent in email correspondence doesn't work.

Poor logistics and telephone support.

Having ordered the outdoor tiles 3 weeks ago, being given a delivery date for today (Friday) and checking delivery wasn’t delayed on Wednesday to confirm all was going to schedule I am very annoyed. Then receiving an email yesterday at 7pm that my delivery would be delivered today however I have found out through checking with courier that they (the courier) didn’t receive enough notice for tiles to be delivered till Monday. When trying to contacts Topps Tiles the frustration is the phone number on the email does not work and when called says it has changed. When trying the new number it says it can’t receive calls and just cuts you off. Hence I contact my local branch on Great Western Rd, Glasgow who were extremely helpful but was unable to resolve the matter. In any case i tried the online chat and asked if someone could call us regarding this and the was advised it was delayed till Monday and speaking to someone would not change this which really annoyed me. Given the lack of empathy and inability to speak with someone I have cancelled the order. I do not want to deal with online chats when an issue arises and I want to speak to a person over the phone especially when you provide this via the email.

Terrible

I ordered a box of tiles and asked the price for it and was told £18.16 then Imy tiler went in and he didn't think it was enough and had to order another box and the manager Rebecca sent an invoice for £56
I called back and was angry because I was overcharged and she had a go at me for being angry good god and said the £18.16 is per meter
What a joke I asked for the price for the box!!!! Absolutely ridiculous not a clue

Eltham Branch - Customer Service

I telephoned the branch in advance of my visit and spoke to a member of staff who was very helpful. On visiting the store I now know this person as Kirk. He was also the first person to acknowledge me in the store. He was patient, knowledgeable and professional.

It would have been easier to buy a kiln…

It would have been easier to buy a kiln and make my own tiles- the website was hopeless , twice refusing to charge my bank for the purchase- it just doesn’t despite there being no problems with money - then I’m told to wait in and nothing arrives , you follow the phone number to follow it up but you get given another number which then tells you the service has been discontinued , the email address provided reports back it doesn’t exist - I complain to the nearest shop who tell me they can’t help much because it was ordered centrally, then on the next time I’m told to stay in a large lorry turns up to collect tiles I apparently don’t want?? And eventually another lorry turns up and I get my order / ordered on 16th May and delivered eventually on 28 th May - a truly horrible and stressful experience , the central website doesn’t work and all the signs are of a company in complete disarray - if you really want tiles - do it through a shop even if it costs more - never ever again

Visited my local Topps Tiles at the Kings Cross Branch

Visited my local Topps Tiles at the Kings Cross Branch - was assisted by knowledgeable Remi who recommended and explained the differences between the ones that I liked - which was helpful otherwise I’d have bought unsuitable tiles…
Remi and his manager called up other branches to sort out faster delivery and were funny and fab…
I’ve bought underfloor heating, flooring etc from this branch - and have always found them to be affordable, and a knowledgeable and genuinely friendly team!

Telford Stafford Park

I went in person to the Telford Stafford Park branch and spoke with Jake.

Great bloke. Provided informative and clear insights into the products and pricing. Due to the amount of Sqm that I required, he managed to get me a further discount - which was very much appreciated.

Would highly recommend for those uncertain about what they’re looking for, I left knowing full well what I wanted and a price. Highly recommend.

Broken wall panel

Ordered an acoustic wall panel, box ripped to pieces when delivered and wall panel was smashed. I would have put this down to a one off but I previously ordered 3 of the same panels and one of those was damaged as well. Maybe they should use a different courier. I contacted Topps Tiles straight away but am yet to get a response.

Tommy at the Thetford Branch was very…

Tommy at the Thetford Branch was very helpful with matching a "Bumpy White" Tile sample fitted in our bathroom in 2008. Got a near perfect fit. He advised us to note product and shade codes. Good advice as bathroom fitter needed more than estimated (twice!). Great service on every visit. They are a "topp" company for tiles:)

Great service at the Hereford branch.

All staff were readily available to answer questions and give advice on patio slabs.

After being let down by another patio supplier Topps Tiles enabled us to get our garden project back on track. Thank you :)

Cannock Branch

George was extremely helpful during our visit. He answered all of our questions with patience and real product knowledge. We shared our top four tile choices with him, and he happily provided pricing so we could make the right decision. He also guided us on the correct sealant and grout, which was a huge help.

Arranging the delivery was smooth, and Andy was supportive throughout the whole process. Both George and Andy were professional, friendly, and genuinely went above and beyond to help us.

Thank you so much, we would highly recommend them.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Terrible delivery - even worse customer service.

More than half of the tiles I ordered were broken when they were dumped outside my house. Not only that, but the delivery driver did not knock at my door and faked my signature.

I contacted customer support via chatbot and email (company falsely still list a phone number to contact when you can't). After back and forth with 'Chris' I finally got confirmation the replacement tiles would be sent out.

After receiving no further update for two weeks I chased again as to when the replacement tiles would be delivered. 'Chris' then informed me the reason they had not been dispatched was due to stock being unavailable. Why on earth was this not communicated to me sooner!

It is unacceptable Topps Tiles do not provide a phone service to talk to real people and the communication is abysmal.
