TRAVELGENIO IS A FRAUDULENT CO AND ARE SCAMMERS:

I purchased my flights from Travelgenio on the 20th May 2022 via Sri Lankan Airlines and was due to travel on June 30th however my UK visa was delayed for 4 months due to the Ukraine issue (Please refer flight ticket attached)

I contacted Travelgenio and cancelled the ticket as I did not know when the visa will be issued, this was accepted by the agent (cancellation no: CA-149161) with deductions and i was told it will take 14 weeks as this is how long it takes for the airline (Sri Lankan) to return the refund

In the interim of my 14 weeks and thereafter and after repeatedly looking on MyTrips (as this is the only platform to enquire or view) and mailing Travelgenio with no response (now 21 weeks) I could suddenly not get into MyTrips. On further investigation ie Facebook etc I found out Travelgenio in detail I found that they have now liquidated.
The money was returned into the Travelgenio account as I did see the account no, however within a few minutes this info disappeared off the screen
I wrote to my bank and Sri Lankan airlines both cannot help me and told me the I need to contact the Travel agent ie Travelgenio

It is now 2023 and I have still not received my refund

Scammers from Madrid. They sell extra service packages (food,luggage,seating) but do not do anything. With every change in your booking they try to charge you extra. SCAMMERS!

Ticket got cancelled by airline during corona ,last year travelgenio told me refund has been transfered but still nothing and no response..brilliant scamers

I have been waiting since March 2020 for Travelgenio to arrange a refund for canceled flights (Atyrau-Praga-Atyrau)

In August of 2021 I received an email that you have the process of ticket 4453977 opened and it will be managed by one of your agents in the following days...

The email I forwarded you (4 August 2021) is the email that I received from the airline in February of 2020 that says: “Air Astana” kindly informs you that your refund has been authorized. You can refund a ticket at the place of purchase." It´s 620.46 euros.

So they authorized the refund 2 years ago and I still didn't receive it. And no updates from Travelgenio.

Travelgenio has been REFUNDED for my ticket in September, but has not contacted me! Perhaps everyone who has a similar experience can mount a class action against them?

I booked a trip from Stockholm to Krabi, Thailand and was meant to fly out on April 11 2020 and return on April 19 2020. The flight was cancelled due to Covid and I was promised to get a reschedule once the pandemic was in April over. In 2021 and beginning of 2022 I was in contact with Travelgenio again with the aim to either reschedule or receive a refund. Their last response was an offer of reschedule with Thai Airways with the condition of paying an extra 700 Euros. I refused the offer since I had already paid the tickets in full. I asked instead for a refund and that was when Travelgenio ignored my more than 20 emails. I am now doing the same trip later this week and unfortunately I had to book new tickets via Thai Airways and pay the full amount all over again.
My advice is to stay away from Travelgenio. It is everything but a trustworthy company and the customer service has a policy of simply ignoring the customers when it doesn’t suit them.

I bought an online ticket, and I paid extra money for checked-in luggage, during online check-in I did not add other luggage, because I already have one. but I was charged 45 euros by the airline, but I did not even enter my card details.
It`s very unsafe, please never use their service!

over two years(July 2020) have passed and still no refund, I want to warn everyone do not bye your trips from this company, it's a scam company. Warning Warning Warning.

TRAVELGENIO MADRID ESP SCAM

I stumbled on TRAVELGENIO MADRID ESP
offering quite competitive prices for plane ticket from Toronto to London England.

On May 25, 2022 I ordered tickets, received e-mail confirmation and my credit card was billed $ 2,440.29.
Next day on May 26, 2022 I received e-mail advising, that my booking was cancelled and that I shall receive credit ASAP no explanation why…
It took a while for credit of $ 2,317.55 to appear on my credit card AND IT WAS SHORT $122.74!
For many days I called them, e-mailed them, until they finally replied that the refund was smaller, due to difference in currency exchange rate on a day of billing and on a day of refund.
I kept calling, e-mailing in no avail/ no more communication from them!

Then I found out, that this is their modus operandi - ugly scam. They routinely confirm very cheap flight and bill it at hi exchange rate, than next day they cancel it and wait until exchange rate drops and refund the charge.... quite legit !? I did some research of TRAVELGENIO MADRID ESP company and found out that Travelgenio has currently 1704 complaints !

Do not deal with scammers!

I had 2 issues with th8s company. The first one is that irequested to add a 23kg luggage to my trip, and travelgenio said they will charge me over 90$ for that while the tap airlines only charges 38$, so I'm not sure if this is a commission or a scam.and more than that i they still didn't valudate my booking because the tap Airlines suppirt told me that i only can do that by myself through their website if the E-ticket is validated.
So even i caled several times, travelgenio says they did, but i still can't add any service in tap Airlines website because the ticket is not validated yet.
The second issue is that i got a urgent trip, and i want to change the origin and date of my return flight, so i required it through a phone call with the support, the lady was kind enough since she knew that it's stressful she told me to wait until Monday and if i didn't get an answer i can call again and we can do that change by phone. So u called toda, and the guy on phone told me we can't do that we have to wait untill coulle days befire the return flight😅 because they only do urgent cases LOL! What is that for an excuse 🤔.
Well, thus was my first and it will be the last time i will book through an agency and specifically Travel not genio

It is nearly 5 months . I'm just getting assurances and e mails without any evidence of sincerity on your part.

I got your e mail reply to customer service docket # 4807951 saying that my refund is being processed for tickets that were cancelled by the airline without notice ( no ops) .

However, I had received the same message from the customer care team in April 5th .

Air India is still repeatedly sending e mails saying that Travelgenio has not contacted their refund team to generate the RA number yet .

Moreover, when I log in to Travelgenio website , my ticket status has still  not changed to show refund process.

Please expedite and complete  this refund process asap .

Been trying to get in contact for weeks since my flight is cancelled and need an alternative. No response yo emails, my flight is less than a week away and on the phone they will say It is not a priority and hang the phone on you. Also, rude behaviour and 0 care for your problem. Stay away from this one.

The worst company I have ever booked through. They waited until after the flights to respond to my requests to change flights-- with an email saying that I needed to change them before the flights. I was able to contact the airlines directly to recover some of my money but it was made more difficult because I had booked through travelgenio. After I wrote them about how unhappy I was, they suggested I pay them another $100 to change a flight I already changed. Absolute joke of a company.

TravelGenio is a genuine scam company, no matter what they claim. It has several phantom country telephone numbers (most of which do not have either humans or voice mail at the other end). It operates 9-5, which is useless for an international firm that claims to provide global service through diverse time zones. You can not contact a staffer/employee, and if you are lucky enough to connect after many days or weeks (if you have the stamina), they pawn you off saying you will get an email from "the other Departmenbt", that never comes. Service provision and reimbursements are a rarity, and email responses are wishful thinking. The immense grief suffered by customers, and their policy of slight of hand and institutional avoidance speaks worlds about their greed and lack of canons of professionalism and integrity. I book flight in travelgenio and the flight is cancelled by the airline and travelgenio send email about full refund but until now didnt send me my refund and i already contact custmer service but no Answer really bad service Please any one here help me to get my money.

Everything was great, all good.

Horrible, i choose the special services to add the luggage and opened a request on the 28th of April. Still no answer from them. I also send a message to their email of customer service on the 6th of May... again no answer. This looks more like scam than a real company.
