Borderline scammy

Borderline scammy, INTENTIONALLY abysmal customer service. This company does everything to make it hard for you to solve problems. No phone contact, email takes ages and sometimes no replies, and they don’t read your emails even when they reply. I had to send multiple emails repeating the exact same information. They also make it intentionally hard to cancel your subscription - you can only do this via contact with their email. This is incredibly tedious. Why would you make it so hard to cancel a subscription? Scammy and capitalist, invest your money in other distributors!! Really really don’t recommend this

The people at Tunecore are really…

The people at Tunecore are really efficient.

They closely monitor projects, respond quickly, are precise, and the website for managing submissions and rights is really well-designed. I greatly appreciate their services. Yes, I'm very happy; I made the right choice with my partner.

Long time customer recommends TuneCore

I've been a long time customer and have been able to get my music in the public platforms. When I've needed help, customer service was there. Getting all my royalties from TuneCore is easy and convenient.

It's been good

It's been good, although a little complicated because of the language. I use a translator, but well, a little difficult to solve, but I think it's because of the language.

A sudden & drastic downturn in service

I have used Tunecore for years. Everything changed in mid 2025 when I started receiving flags for AI streaming on Spotify which were totally fraudulent claims. Then in January 2026 their customer support all but disappeared. I took a few releases down to make audio changes, but upon reuploading them, had flags against artwork or artist names which were identical to the previous release and were never an issue before. The biggest problem that I am seeing on social media (and for me as well), is that their customer support has totally disappeared. I submitted a new product in January and over a month later, it has yet to progress. They request a change, then never follow up on it to make progress, so I have multiple releases in limbo and my ability to upload new releases is on pause because of too many content issues in cue. This is because of their lack of response!

I have also had releases rejected without explanation, even with signed agreements with the artists.

Just a heads up to take your business elsewhere, Tunecore is obviously on its way down the drain.

I am extremely disappointed with TuneCore.

I am extremely disappointed with TuneCore.

My withdrawal request of $541.33 was rejected without a clear explanation, and now $651.75 is showing as “Funds on Hold” in my account. I have contacted their support team multiple times through tickets and live chat, but I have received no proper response or resolution.

As an independent label owner, this situation is very frustrating. Holding artists’ funds without transparent communication is unacceptable. If there is a compliance issue, it should be clearly explained so we can resolve it.

I sincerely hope TuneCore improves its customer support system and resolves pending payment issues promptly.

If I could give 0 stars

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolute disaster.

This has been the most frustrating, exhausting, and poorly managed experience I’ve ever had with a music distributor.

I paid for the Rising Artist plan and have been waiting over a month for a single release. My music keeps getting blocked for minor issues with the title and cover art, and every attempt to resolve it turns into another delay with no real solution.

Support responses take one to two weeks, which is completely unacceptable for a digital service in 2026. Independent artists depend on timing, and this platform shows no understanding of that.

The website and dashboard are incredibly confusing and badly designed. Nothing is intuitive. Simple tasks become unnecessarily complicated, and the entire process feels disorganized and inefficient.

At this point, it honestly feels like you pay first and then have to fight your way through obstacles just to release your own music.

Other distributors respond within days and make the process smooth. Here, everything feels like a constant struggle.

This has been an extremely unprofessional experience, and I cannot recommend this platform to any independent artist.

I would like a refund, as the service I paid for has not been delivered in any reasonable way.

Account Closed & Funds Withheld Without Clear Evidence

I am an independent artist whose TuneCore account was recently closed for alleged “abnormal activity.” All of my music is 100% original and owned by me. The engagement associated with my releases was generated through YouTube Shorts distribution on my official channel.
I have not used bots, artificial streams, or any fraudulent services.
Despite this, my content was taken down from all stores and my earned funds were withheld. I was not provided with specific evidence, detailed reporting from stores, or a clear explanation of what constituted the alleged violation.
As an independent artist, transparency is extremely important. If abnormal activity is detected, creators deserve: • Clear documentation
• Specific release details
• The opportunity to respond
• A defined appeal process
I am still awaiting a transparent review and clarification regarding the withheld earnings.
I hope TuneCore improves communication and provides fair resolution mechanisms for independent artists in similar situations.
