Mailchimp is a complete scam
Mailchimp is a complete scam. I purchased the Standard package and within 42 hours my account was suddenly locked without any reason or notice. After login, I only see “Your login is not associated with any Mailchimp accounts, would you like to create a new one?” which is impossible for users to fix. Very poor support, waste of money, and no proper refund assistance.

What a mistake!
What a mistake!! We chose Mailchimp for our school system about 5 years ago and we have several accounts.
Earlier this week, my email was hacked and Maichimp deactivated my account! I explained what occurredvia email (5 times) and on the phone (3 times), and I had a major campaign that was supposed to go out this morning, but they haven't responded or reinstated it yet. All my contacts are stuck in Mailchimp, my campaign, that needed to go out today is frozen also, and I can't even log into my account since it's deactivated!! Just infuriating incompetence. We will be switching all of our accounts to a company with actual customer service.

MailChimp no longer works reliably
MailChimp no longer works reliably. I made a copy of my last campaign and it was blank. So I made another copy and made a couple of edits and was not done yet and Mailchimp sent the email anyway. I did not hit send or even go to the screen where you can send it. Beware, Mailchimp no longer works reliably.

Mailchimp blocked our account Tuesday afternoon due to a suspicious login from Dubai. While security measures are understandable, their response was catastrophic.
We received an alert email at 10:30 AM. Our marketing team immediately confirmed the Dubai IP was legitimate and replied the same day. Mailchimp never responded to our confirmation.
By Tuesday 2:00 PM, our account was locked. We discovered the next morning that our connected Mandrill account (transactional emails) was also suspended without any notification. For 24 hours, we couldn't send booking confirmations, payment confirmations, or travel information to customers—critical for a hospitality business.
The real problem: Support access is only available through the blocked account. We couldn't reach anyone. The website chatbot is useless—it just loops you back to login. Our team called the only phone number available and waited 4 hours to speak to someone who told us they couldn't help and would respond to our email in 1-4 business days.
One to four days is not an acceptable response time for a service that handles all transactional communications. We lost 24 hours of emails stuck in Mandrill's queue that we cannot recover.
We've since migrated to another provider. Mailchimp is not reliable for mission-critical email infrastructure.

Horrific on every level
Horrific on every level. And no help. Followed their advice, my list has separated, cannot get it back and no assistance. Mailchimp has literally RUINED 14 year worth of mailing list. You cannot get help from a human and on email they say 'they cannot help' but offer advice - if you are not technical mailchimp is a nightmare, stay clear.

Avoid at all Costs - MailChimp, Intuit and Quickbooks
MailChimp,OMG... I signed up, $65 - 97 minutes later I was suspended, and they couldn't tell me why, some how the controlling bot said I broke the rules, but could tell the staff what rules.... 2 days later they agree a refund... They take ANOTHER $65 without my Authorization, or a OTP... When I inquired as to why they took a charge and NOT issued a Refund as stated, they said they did issue a refund and that I was mistaken, when I showed them the receipts they all but accused me of forging the receipts, so When I asked them to show me their receipt of the refund They refused.
Calling your company MailChimp does not mean you are required to then employ that species...Into my sixth week of trying to get refunded...
What's even more telling is that MailChimp are owned by Intuit who is their Parent Company... And guess what they do??? You cannot make this S**t up.... They publish Accountancy software, Yes you read that right, a company that charges when giving refunds Sell accountancy software....AVOID MAILCHIMP AVOID INTUIT

interface is difficult and doesnt allow nice newsletter , complicated to handle.
their way ofcounting the people on your database doesnt make sens neither; looks like they do it for you to pay more.

absolutely horrible experience. Will be moving to a different service. Every automation I tried was unsuccessful and every day I sent out an email campaign there were 1-4 people on average that never received it, even after receiving emails from me in the past (a day or two prior!)

Mailchimp stole from my card. Then told me to wait 9–11 days for my own money.
I paid Mailchimp $166 for an account.
Within 4 hours, their automated system suspended me. No evidence. No explanation. Just a robot telling me I broke their rules.
I asked for a refund. They ignored me.
I tried their "LIVE CHAT." It is a bot named Neo that lies and says it is human. Neo transferred me to "Compliance." No one ever contacted me.
Then Mailchimp charged my card again. $166.
Then they charged it again. Another $166.
Three charges. $498 total. For an account that was suspended after 4 hours.
When I finally reached a human, they agreed to refund me. Then they charged me again.
Now they say I have to wait 5–7 business days for my refund.
Today is Friday.
5–7 business days means 9–11 actual days.
Mailchimp stole $498 from my card. They know it. They admit it. And they are making me wait 9–11 days to get my own money back.
This is not a mistake. This is not a glitch. This is their business model.

· Keep charging
· Sit on refunds for two weeks
· Hope the customer gives up
Mailchimp is not an email service provider. Mailchimp is a fraud operation run by accountants and lawyers who have figured out that stealing in small amounts, slowly, is hard to fight.
I disputed every charge with my bank. I filed a complaint with the FTC. And I am telling everyone I know.
If you use Mailchimp, cancel your card. They will not stop.
