I'm a US expat and closed my acct. after 2 yrs.

I'm a US expat and recently closed my USGM account after 2 years. I have been Very unhappy with their spotty service, a promised "dedicated rep" (Tia) who then went MIA, and I was especially irked about my last shipment as my instructions were Not followed and I ended up with a Huge whopper of a bill for small (and purposely Very lightweight) items I shipped to myself, $137!! : \

Further, on an earlier shipment, new-in-the-package electronics were not even labeled correctly for international shipping, yet another email I sent that I never had a response to as that could have landed my shipment in hot water with the Customs office here in the UK.

Since leaving USGM I am now saving nearly 75% on my monthly mail-forwarding service. Not to mention their very high $3.50/page scanning charges, etc.

Another telltale "offer" of theirs sort of sums it up neatly as they offer a $70 (as I recall) "wind-down service" for 6-months when closing your account -- but it's actually just another pricey and useless enticement as I was concerned about reaching one vendor in particular to provide them with my updated mailing address but -- voila -- it turned out that happened automatically as my next month's statement from them was clearly tied to the address change via the USPS form being processed by my replacement service when I signed up with them!!

To me, after 2 years, it consistently felt like USGM provided sporadic support, especially did not like to respond when there was an issue of any sort, and overall just nickel and dimed its customers to death, including No orientation toward helping us $ave money on costly international shipments, period. I was paying $40/mo. which is just Too high, and that wind-down service appears to be yet another cash-grab on their part. My replacement mail-forwarding service is doing a brilliant job and is $10.99/mo.

In closing I'll just say I'm only sorry it took me so long to make this change....btw, my replacement service even provides me with the NAME of the sender which is super helpful when being notified of new mail arriving in my inbox.

My advice to you when it comes to US Global Mail is KEEP LOOKING....Don't make my same co$tly mistake I did!

Sam, thank you for the detailed writeup. Feedback like this is exactly how we find where the process breaks. We looked into your shipment and see where our explanation of the estimate vs. final cost should've come sooner and clearer.
Our wind-down plan is meant to keep mail flowing while you transition, not add cost for its own sake, but I hear that it didn't feel that way to you, and that's worth us looking at. I'm also stepping in to see how to improve our support to can ensure we are listening to you. Wishing you well in the UK — and if anything's still unresolved, my inbox is open - Tashi, CEO @ USGM

$129 in fees for mail that doesn't exist

$129 in storage fees, months of replies, still no actual review of my account -- still just policy recaps.

Since January 2026 I've been charged a monthly "physical mail storage" fee generated by the exact same 12 item IDs every single month — $129 across seven invoices. None of these items show up in my Inbox or Archive, and there's no way to look one up to see what it actually is.

I asked for help starting May 5, 2026. On June 17, I was finally sent the official list of everything in my mailbox — 24 items. One of the 12 IDs I'm billed for every month, 101940113, isn't on that list. I'm paying monthly storage on something your own records don't show me having.

Since then I've gotten several different explanations from "corporate" that contradict each other — first that the charge was for archived mail, then that archiving doesn't matter and storage applies regardless. Every reply has been a general policy explanation, not an actual look at my account. What I asked for — someone to check what's actually generating these charges — still hasn't happened.

Hi AB, Tashi here, founder of USGM. I read your review and had our team pull your account myself. The charges are legitimate; that item was physically in your mailbox, and it's itemized on your invoices in the Notes section. But I understand why two rounds of general policy explanations didn't make that clear- esp since they were coming from our channel partner. That's on us to explain better, and we missed the mark. I'd be happy to personally walk you through your account and invoices so you can see exactly what's driving each charge. Reach out to me directly tashi @usglobalmail.com and I'd love to help.

Very disappointing experience with US Global Mail

!!! Very disappointing experience with US Global Mail !!!

My account was suddenly closed/flagged for “security reasons” without any prior warning. I understand that a company may have security policies and may decide to close an account, but the problem is what happened afterward.

I had multiple packages already delivered to my US Global Mail address when the account was closed. I was not given an opportunity to forward them before the closure.

I contacted support and asked for a simple solution: I don't need the account reopened. I am willing to provide prepaid shipping labels and pay any reasonable forwarding/handling fees. I just want the packages that were already received at their facility to be shipped to me.

So far, support has only repeated that the account cannot be reopened, without providing a clear solution for the packages already in their possession.

Some of these packages are high-value, so this is a very serious issue for me.

Closing an account is one thing. Keeping customers' packages without providing a clear way to retrieve them is another.

I hope someone from US Global Mail sees this and helps resolve the situation.

Hi Yulian, for account security reasons, we're unable to discuss the specifics of a flagged account in a public forum. To confirm the process: items in a closed account's mailbox are returned to sender.

Save your money

Like a lot of people, I chose US Global Mail because of the positive reviews on Reddit. But since those reviews, they've jacked up their prices and apparently cut their support staff. Now, they cost 5x Anytime while being just as bad, if not worse. Save your money.

They screwed up shipping a package to me. That's fine, mistakes happen. But because their support is atrocious, it's impossible to get a hold of anyone to fix the mistake and find out when my package will arrive.

Hi Shane, Tashi here, CEO of USGM. I read the full thread with our team, and this isn't close to the standard we hold ourselves to. FedEx missed a scheduled pickup, but that should not cost you or leave you chasing us for answers. I've already reached out to you directly to fix this properly. Please accept our apologies and we'll make this right. I'm emailing you directly to ensure we take care of you.

Three months of unanswered frustration.

I recently signed up with US Global Mail based on the positive reviews they've accumulated. Over the past 3 months that I've had their service, they've lost my new driver's license when I asked for it to be sent on to me (and they charged me for the service) and they have not deposited two 2 checks that I've received as they described in their promo material. They want to mail the checks to my bank. And I've had such a great experience with them mailing things.
But here's the real problem: Trying to reach someone in the company is almost impossible. I've followed email instructions, phone call requests, and waiting on hold until the call is terminated. Some dude named Neil has answered a few of my emails but he only answers the easy part of my emails. Sometime my emails are answered by Milo the automaton. Who is not helpful. I will be finding another service as soon as i can.

Going AI

I have had this service for years, it has been very reliable and responsive. It however has decided that a simple mailbox service needs to go AI and it is not necessary. Those who are enjoying the experience we currently have should not be forced into a new service at a higher cost that has things we will never use. This is why I am giving them a low rating.

Richard, thank you for being a long-time customer and for being candid about the direction of the service.
We understand that added features do not feel like added value when the simpler experience already worked for you.
Your feedback is important as we evaluate how plan changes affect customers with different needs.
We appreciate the reliability you experienced over the years and regret that this change diminished it.
We value you and your feedback immensely. Thank you again.

No Service, No Refund, No Communication

I signed up for US Global Mail with the expectation of getting a reliable US-based mailbox. The sign-up process was smooth, but that's where the good experience ended.

My verification documents were rejected. While that can happen, the real problem is what followed. I immediately wrote back to their support team, accepting their decision and requesting a refund for the service I couldn't use.

That was over a month ago. Since then, I have received absolutely no response. My email has been ignored, and my money has not been returned. It's completely unacceptable to take a customer's payment and then go silent when the service cannot be provided.

If they can't handle a simple refund request or even reply to an email, I would seriously question their ability to handle something as important as mail. I cannot recommend them.

Bait and Switch: Address was actually a PMB

Purchased a virtual address for LLC formation in WA state and was not told until AFTER purchase that the address is a PMB, which is prohibited for LLC formation in WA state. The team was kind enough to give me a full refund after I flagged this and given I requested the refund 72 hrs after setting up my account, however I still feel this is unethical and a bit of a bait and switch. Many folks are using this service bc they don't want/need a PO Box or PMB; they should be crystal clear UP FRONT on this.

Thank you for your feedback.

To clarify- ALL virtual mailboxes, by USPS regulation, are referred to as PMB's (Private Mailbox). This is standard across the industry and not something any provider can alter or hide. While our addresses are real, physical street addresses (not P.O. Boxes), the PMB designation is a USPS regulation.

Each state has its own laws regarding business formation, and sorry to hear that Washington is one of the few that does not allow PMB addresses for LLC registration. We always encourage customers to double-check local state regulations for business registration and state the same in our FAQ's. We'll surely look into updating our content to help make these exceptions even clearer going forward.

That said, as soon as you brought the issue to our attention, we issued a full refund right away- no questions asked. We hope to earn your 5-star review in the future should you choose to return to manage your business mail with us once your LLC is formed.

Wishing you our very best.

Was skeptical at first due to reports of unreliability with this type of service and other related companies. I settled on this company as they seemed the most competent. Which they are. I have received multiple pieces of mail from the. I subscribe to the cheapest plan. 25 free scans per month might be low but I do not receive much mail so anymore has not been necessary yet. I had a check mailed to my bank from them recently and everything went perfectly. The mail fee seemed expensive for just a check but they force you to mail the whole package the check came in I believe, so they sent a whole large manilla envelope of documents along with the check to my bank incurring a large postal cost. I dont really care though as long as the check went through. There customer service responses were thorough and fast and solved every issue I had. I use their Texas location for my address.

It was so easy, I may actually cry

After my horrific experience with another virtual mail service who I will not name
[🤧postscanmail🤧😷] and I really wanted to use the street address for a business that's really friendly and remembered me as one of their customers from 2 years ago. U S Global Mail, so far, is so easy. I called the customer service phone number and I spoke to a live actual person within 60 seconds. I think it was actually even less than 30 seconds! 🤯 She was friendly, answered my questions, explained the answer, and even gave me a slight discount simply because I had such a horrific experience with a different company. I have to do the online notary later today. I really hope that's the cherry on top of the ice cream chocolate brownie service experience. If it goes as easy as just signing up, which took me less than 5 minutes; I may actually cry.

Sign up at your own risk; Cancelling is a problem

I signed up, entered my credit card, encountered trouble while registering, contacted tech help, decided to cancel because it became more costly and complicated. She said she couldn’t cancel, I’d have to cancel in the portal. I canceled in the portal, while she was on the phone with me. Then a month later I received a bill. I contacted them for a refund. Tech help saw I canceled it, but said it had to “go to review.” Several tech help chats later, and a phone call, with the same person Kat, Katrina, she said she’d expedite the refund, and I would receive confirmation “shortly”. Define shortly? I am still waiting. Suggestion: be clear about the service costs upfront; take the credit card at the end of the set up, not beginning, so customers can see the actual product and costs upfront; honor the 30-day money back guarantee without a run-around; empower your employees to solve problems without “sending to review”; remove the 100% satisfaction brags from your website, when it’s obviously untrue; I’m happy for those who’ve received their mail. I wonder how their review will change when they cancel? Two stars because the chats exist, and it sounds like the people are human and at least try to solve problems. I am still waiting for the refund. UPDATE. They did send the refund. October 3.

It is a great and efficient service but they charge you 400% higher prices for shipping than regular shipping. I can’t even understand how that can be legal. Just to give you an idea I wanted to ship a 2 lbs book from Us to Italy and they quoted me $140 with USPS shipping g. When I checked on USPS the same shipping costed $20 dollars - unbelievable!!!!!!

Dear Francesco, I am so sorry to hear about the shipping price. That is totally crazy! I was trying to find your shipment in our system but cannot see any shipping request or an email from you to check on where this pricing is coming from. Was this a quote you saw in the shipping portal? Perhaps there was some error? We are also reaching out to our channel partner in PA which is where it seems you were trying to ship the book. Please do reach out to us at support@ usglobalmail.com (attn: heather) and we'll be able to find the error and make sure we get your book shipped out to you at the correct price asap.

I’ve used this service for nearly 8 years. Never had any issues with their service until very recently and that issue was mainly caused by the hurricane damage in Houston. What happened was I received a very large check with a contract in my box. I had it scanned and then asked for the check to be deposited in my bank. I made the request on Friday afternoon. They planned to overnight the check to the bank on Monday. But, the hurricane hit so they were closed on Monday. No one notified me. On Tuesday I saw the check hadn’t moved so I contacted customer service. They apologized and said the check was going out Tuesday when they reopened. So, I waited and saw it did not move on Tuesday either. Contacted them again. They apologized again and said FedEx didn’t come to pickup. On Wednesday it still hadn’t moved. On Thursday it finally moved and arrived at my bank Friday morning. Then, I found out that they had sent not only the check but the 10 page contract with it!

Reply from US Global Mail

Dear James,
Thank you for being a loyal customer for nearly 8 years. We regret the inconvenience you experienced with the recent delay of your check delivery. As you mentioned, Hurricane Beryl hit Houston last week and flooded large swaths of the city and knocked out power for 2 million residents and businesses. We were forced to close our offices on Monday as flooded streets made it impossible to reach the office. We notified customers via an announcement in the mailbox. We will look into make it more visible in the future so it is not missed.

On Tuesday, when we opened our office, we shipped your checks but FedEx did not come to pick the mail. We contacted them and were told they are planning to pick up. We were then told that they will come on Wednesday - and we passed on the same information to you.

When FedEx again did not arrive by Wednesday evening, we made alternate arrangements and found a center that was open, 40 miles away. We drove and deposited the mail there.

We understand delays cause frustration, even if they are caused by unforeseen events and natural disasters and we apologize for that. We do appreciate your understanding and patience during such challenging times.

Been using for over 2 years with no problems. I like having an address in whatever state I want. Only complaint is that their "80% off regular shipping rates" is complete b.s. It's closer to 2X to 3X MORE than the shippers' rates. So if I need something sent out of the country, I have them send it Priority or Ground UPS to my preferred shipper and they send it to me very cheaply. The fact that they insist on making that claim makes it hard for me to even give 4 stars. One has to wonder what else of their claims are untrue. Strongly advise US Global Mail to stop making that claim.
