I think the platform is perfect for beginners with, let us say, small budgets. There is the problem where the platform lacks public, and so offers are quite limited.
But I still do recommend this platform!

I had 1 problem and dealt with a scammer in this panel but hopefully, they have Jess Declercq in the support team, that I really don't know how to appreciate her help during 1 month, none stop weekdays and weekend days till I got my funds back.
She is kind of Gem in any company customer support team, I hope her boss read this comment and take proper action to give her promotion.

This is not the only available P2P crypto exchange in the world, but it has got some real advantages.
It's rather cheap to use and the interface is very pleasant (intuitive, I’d say). 11 out of 12 transactions I did went smoothly. Once I didn’t get the money immediately and had to contact support. That transaction was canceled and I got my money back the same day. I found another peer and completed the exchange this way.
While the governments and authorities try hard to find the way to get legal status for crypto payments, ordinary people like us have to find our ways to exchange cryptocurrencies to fiat and backward.
To tell the truth, I still prefer doing these exchanges with people I know in person (no additional commissions this way), but it’s not always easy to find someone who is eager to buy your Ether or Bitcoin right now and all the amount at once. Moreover, sometimes people would say, sorry, I don’t need Ether, but I’m ready to go for some BCH. That’s not always convenient. So that’s when Vertex becomes a timesaver and money-saver as well. The commission is reasonable, 0.5% only, so when I can’t find a good deal among the colleagues I know i person, the service comes in very handy.

We are truly sorry you have had a negative experience. However, the support has its up and downs (depending on load) but we don't have a single issue not attended within 72h (that is rare, but can happen).
Regarding the gas: we use the suggested GAS amount that brings a transaction within the next 10 blocks. We are certain no transaction takes years to clear but if so, please contact us and we will resend this tx with higher gas price manually for you.
