Vetco on power road in Mesa AZ
Vetco on power road in Mesa AZ
Absolutely disgraceful experience with Vetco. Zero accountability, appalling customer service, and a veterinary technician named Amanda whose conduct was completely unacceptable.
I have rarely experienced such an astonishing level of unprofessionalism from a company entrusted with the health and well-being of animals.
I arrived for my dog’s scheduled follow-up vaccination appointment, only to discover that Vetco could not locate his previous medical records, despite having already examined and vaccinated him at another Vetco location just weeks earlier. Staff were attempting to attach his photograph and information to an entirely different dog’s account. Rather than correcting their own mistakes, I was told to contact customer service myself and that they would have to document today’s visit incorrectly as his first examination and vaccination.
Naturally, I was frustrated. Any responsible pet owner would be.
Then there was Amanda, the veterinary technician.
Of everything that went wrong during this experience, Amanda’s behavior was by far the most disturbing. Instead of demonstrating professionalism, understanding, or even basic respect, she accused me of yelling simply because I was expressing my frustration over the mishandling of my dog’s medical records.
I strongly dispute her accusation, and I find her conduct absolutely disgraceful.
In my opinion, Amanda demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and basic decency in how she treated me. Her behavior was rude, dismissive, and entirely inappropriate for someone representing a veterinary healthcare provider.
What kind of employee responds to legitimate concerns about medical records by turning the situation around on the customer? What kind of professional believes that making accusations is an acceptable substitute for addressing the actual problem?
Amanda’s conduct left me questioning not only her professionalism but also her judgment and credibility. I would never feel comfortable entrusting my animals to someone who treated me the way she did.
And somehow, the situation became even more outrageous.
Rather than contacting me to understand what actually happened, Petco subsequently informed me by telephone that all of my future Vetco appointments had been canceled and that they would no longer provide services to me.
Let that sink in.
Their team mishandled my dog’s medical information. Their employee responded to my frustration with an accusation I strongly dispute. And instead of anyone taking the time to hear my side, I was effectively dismissed as a customer.
Not even the store manager at the Mesa location on Power Road made an effort to hear my account of the incident.
This is an absolute embarrassment for Petco and Vetco.
Amanda’s behavior was disgraceful enough on its own, but the company’s subsequent handling of the situation has demonstrated an even more troubling lack of accountability and fairness.
I expect veterinary professionals to be honest, respectful, competent, and capable of handling legitimate customer concerns without resorting to accusations. Based on my experience, Amanda fell miserably short of those expectations.
Petco should be taking a serious look at Amanda’s conduct and the way this entire incident was handled, rather than treating the customer who raised legitimate concerns as the problem.
I have completely lost confidence in this company. After this experience, I have no desire to continue doing business with Petco or Vetco.
Absolutely shameful. Amanda’s conduct was unacceptable, management’s response was appalling, and the entire experience was a disgrace.
quick and easy
took my pup to vetco for her shots, in and out in 20 minutes and cheaper than my regular vet
Low cost vets shouldn’t mean Low Quality
The idea of a cost effective way to provide healthcare to pet owners is a great business model although, it falls short when the process, procedures and staff involved are not meeting the requirements to ensure competent care.
Most staff members are warm and friendly and it’s appreciated.
The big problem is the lack of process. Especially in Chicago Illinois locations. A lack of having visual checklists means steps are forgotten or medication prescriptions are missed and the onus is on the customer to be a vet assistant themselves and constantly remind staff.
A lack of Asking Questions to gather details about the pet’s dietary needs, habits and behavior leads to constant assumptions which have to be interjected and explained by the owner.
A lack of awareness of logic in sequence of events, tasks taken and impact they may have on imaging which leads pet owners to go in circles because of the uncertainty of the Vets on site. I find in general the quality of care has deteriorated because critical thinking has eroded even at a time when we have more knowledge, tools and technology being leveraged to offer support for working memory short falls or a lack of proactive problem solving skills.
Vetco needs to ensure that all their staff understands what “fear free” training and environment is and how important it is to assess the behavior of an animal when making decisions. My dog sustained a very painful, time consuming and expensive joint injury during an attempted X-ray examination due to her moving around and resisting. The staff did not recognize that she was not calm and needed sedation . I then had to go to the emergency hospital wait 8hrs in the waiting area and incur another $1000+ bill and offer full recovery care for my dog for 3 weeks. A very frustrating and unnecessary situation.(my dog has never had joint, bone or leg problems because of the level of care I’ve taken in my home to prevent her from jumping off high furniture and using pet stairs where possible. I intentionally did this due to the fact that information available from pet owners expressed these issues as being common)
This made me think that “low cost” vet services is not worth it if you’re going to compound all the other risk costs from uber pet transportation, time spent waiting , emergency hospitalization(this is the first serious injury my dog has ever had in her life caused by the medical teams lack of mindfulness), negligence and poor critical thinking application.
Small dogs and senior dogs need EXTRA attention when restraining. Good judgement is needed to avoid placing them under unnecessary stress, have injuries and compound their state and I hate that every single negative experience based on injuries my dog goes through is from animal clinics/vets.
The problem is pets are examined by people who don’t really know them and then take them away from their owner who can’t communicate their needs based on not having them in site.
(Perhaps this process should change to allow owners to participate because they know their pets more intimately and can interpret their stress/discomfort signals more accurately and can respond effectively vs having staff that force situations and enable injuries)
The most obnoxious thing is how the focus is on trying to upsell on other procedures vs just treating what’s suspected. Even tho I had X-rays done, they couldn’t be used because the vet at the emergency hospital room didn’t understand the notation left by another vet.
In a professional setting this standard wouldn’t be acceptable. I really think an intervention and proactive implementation of reminders, personalized approach by ASKING QUESTIONS vs assuming and checklists are needed for staff members and professionals at the clinics to have as a point of reference to support their working memory and critical thinking skills. Effort is lacking and so is consequences due to shortages of professionals which is creating a very unpleasant and unnecessary experience for both clinic managers, pets and pet owners.
I’ve decided to move my pet to another private practice Vet which is more thorough and effective which is extremely important to me. Also I think all vets need to quaint themselves with medical research within the pet community and read medical records (on an international scale) within published databases to develop a better sense of reality of what actually occurs with pets vs preserving a confused, low experience, high anchoring bias state and environment. Low cost vets shouldn’t be associated with low quality.
Please improve steps so people aren’t always bouncing from vet to emergency hospitalization due to staff negligence.
I am extremely disappointed with Vetco Service Today
I am extremely disappointed with Vetco today’s visit with my pup. She is 3 years old. When I got her she was 2 weeks old and we have been coming here since. Due to my schedule and profession I have visited other locations and even have other vets we frequent but overall Vetco has been our main provider for vaccines, preventatives etc. At the beginning Piglet didn’t mind the visits. We had a bad encounter when she was 1 1/2 with the Grooming clinic at this same location and since she panics every time we come inside the store.
This experience caused her to bark and be very uncomfortable with our vet visits once the techs and dr’s come to get her. She’s snapped but the veterinary team said they were ok and understood her anxiousness.
We came in for a visit today for checkup and concerns. We arrived almost 15 minutes earlier than our appointment. The front desk clerk was polite but the way we were handled made me feel a type of way.
A couple walked up at least 10 minutes after us and I intently heard the clerk confirm they had an appointment at the same time my appointment was. She told them the same as she told me) because they were early they would have to wait. This dialogue did not say to me that they arrived before we did and was waiting but this is what she told me when I stated I wanted to cancel the appointment because we had been waiting 35 minutes to be seen.
She then asked if she could go ahead and take Piglets temperature. We sat in the room for 15 minutes after waiting 20 to be called into a room and no one came for vitals.
They were slightly busy I understood that yet there was 2 technicians that came inside the front while we waited including one of the vet’ dr’s on staff. She expressed to them that we had arrived and neither of them acknowledged us. Not one of them looked over at us but continued looking at the monitor or just walked to the back.
If my pup is a problem for y’all to see her then just tell me and we can continue to make our visits else where.
I saw all new faces and not sure where the other staff is but I did not appreciate the lack of communication I received today. A simple “we are busy and apologize but we will get to Piglet as soon as we are able” NOTHING
Not to mention that we sat at the door and a family who came inside after us, yhe son was sitting on the inside bench. The clerk walked up to tell the young boy something but because it wasn’t referenced to me (she wasn’t expressive like she was with the couple that came in after I did) so I didn’t catch wind to what she told him.
About 10 minutes later he called his dad over and that’s when I learned what the clerk told him. “There’s a dog coming out that doesn’t like other dogs” my dog was right at the door he had to leave out of so if this dog would have come out and attacked my dog Vetco would have a problem.
I really hate this encounter because although sometimes I feel like visits are sometimes more about money I still trusted them with my baby and didn’t mind the cost.
If I could give this place zero stars I…
If I could give this place zero stars I would. Took three dogs in for appointments on one day, two in one appointment and one in one appointment. They completely lost and canceled the records for one of my dogs even being present that day. Battled them over that, they suggested I go back in with the dog, and I said absolutely not- get your shit straight. Go to order heartworm medication for all three dogs and all three dogs are denied and they say the reason is that they weren’t heartworm tested. The records I have show my dogs were heartworm tested, and it even shows prescriptions to be provided. Again, they tell me to go back in and have my dogs tested. Now they are saying that one of the dogs is being prescribed too high dose of heartworm medication on the paperwork but yet they’re also saying the dog was not heartworm tested. I’m trying to point out how it can not be both, of course my dog was tested and that is why the prescription is on the paperwork. They also suggested because the heartworm pills were for a certain weight, that the weight on the form was incorrect. At this point, they also said go back in and get tested. They already have an accurate weight of my dog on the paperwork. They entered the wrong heartworm weight and forgot to put the heartworm test occurred. So again, they’re telling me to take my dog back into the clinic. The savings is absolutely not worth this headache and I can’t believe how subpar this service has been. Absolute nightmare. And this is not complicated. It’s tracking paperwork. How can this not be accurately attained with today’s technology. I’ll be writing corporate and absolute suggest you pay the extra couple of bucks (yeah, the savings ain’t much at all, if any), and stay away from this clown show.
I had an appointment at the Vetco…
I had an appointment at the Vetco Vaccination Clinic inside the Laurel Petco. When I arrived, a young employee named Ella did not greet me and showed no basic manners. While I was checking in and speaking with her, she suddenly ignored me and began helping the people behind me.
I asked her to finish checking me in before moving to the next customer. Instead of apologizing, she kept arguing that she was “just answering some questions.” When I told her that this was poor customer service, she showed no regret or shame. When I asked for her name, she said, “Ella—go tell the manager,” as if she did not care.
She then went inside and spoke with the other two staff members. After that, they refused to let my pet see the veterinarian, even though I had a scheduled appointment. It appeared that I was denied service simply because I questioned her disrespectful behavior and asked her to apologize.
This was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Employees should not retaliate against customers for speaking up about poor treatment.
I will not return to this Vetco location. Pet owners looking for a more affordable option can try the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George’s County low-cost vaccination clinic at 8210 D’Arcy Road, Forestville, MD 20747. Their prices are much lower, and their reviews are better.
I wish I could leave less than one…
I wish I could leave less than one star. I went there thinking I just needed my puppies final series of puppy shots which I had paid $28 at a pet store called ABC pets however Petco is located right up the street and I saw that they have a Vetco. So I go in there just to get her last series of puppy shots and I’m told that I could without an examination I can get a topical flea med for my puppy and since they don’t have a topical that I could get a free prescription so I get in there and the vet is a HUGE woman that sits there the entire time, doesn’t even look at my dog and tells me that I need this and that. This is exactly what I don’t like with a veterinarian so she talks me into an extra shot, charges me $145 and then tells me that since she’s two days from her 16 week birthday and they don’t know what she’s gonna weigh in two days so I can’t get a prescription for a topical flea med. This is a typical racket that I am so tired of. it makes me never want to see another vet. don’t go there!! go to ABC pets and get a normal puppy shot series for a normal price. I will never ever go back to Petco or VETCO. Low cost? I could have paid a real vet and got a complete physical and her shots plus a topical for what I was charged.
There's a reason no one was there...
My dog has been coming to this location since he was 8 weeks old, he is 2.5 years now. I booked a last-minute appointment to have him seen because I realized I was about 2 months behind on a few of his vaccinations. While doing this, I decided to go ahead and get both of my cats in for their rabies vaccine that was about to expire. They are normally seen at their local vet, but this made more sense to me since time has been scarce. I booked 3 appointments in a row, which gets a bit confusing as each appointment comes separate instead of as one. Since I had a dental appointment ahead of time, I cancelled the earlier ones (so I thought) and kept the latter scheduled times. I ended up getting a text saying I had all 6 slots booked! This was definitely an error on my end.
I parked at 4:28, trying to load up my 2 extremely stressed cats and my dog. I am expecting a line and was trying to make sure I was 10 minutes early for my 4:45 appointment. To my surprise, when I walked in, it was empty. There was literally not one soul in line to have their animal seen. I immediately apologized for overbooking and was completely overwhelmed trying to get all the animals in. There was a guy sitting there with his face in his hand and elbow on his knee, a doctor standing there and 2 women talking. The male tech replied "no worries" to my overbooking and directed me where to check in. The same woman that is always there, came up to me with a disdainful look on her face and informed me I was late. I debated this for a moment and then chalked it up to I made an error. Perhaps the cancellation went through but it was for the later appointments? She confirmed this. Accidents happen. I told her I received a text for all 6, and I was feeling bad thinking I overbooked. Now I am considered late, but no one was there. I was not nasty in any way and have never had any confrontations with anyone in this establishment.
I was informed that both of my cats could be seen but not my dog. I asked if there was a way we could have two of them seen and wait to see if someone else doesn't show we could fit the third one in. THE WEBSITE STATES THAT APPOINTMENTS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BUT WALK INS ARE WELCOME UPON AVAILABILITY. She declined. I then asked if my dog could be seen since he is the one that I considered priority at the moment and I would make an appointment for my cats at their vet. She declined this as well and had an attitude. I was questioning the lack of customers and the unwillingness to work with me. I asked if the doctor was even there and she said yes, but I would not be seeing her for all of my animals. I was treated as if I was a disgruntled customer they were preparing to ban from the moment I walked through the door. It was insulting, unnecessary, rude, and infuriating. No matter what I said I was met with a stern look, and a brash tone as if I had highly inconvenienced them and they were dead set on making an example out of me. After 5 minutes of her unprofessional attitude, I matched it and left vowing to never return. I was perplexed on why seeing my dog was not okay, but seeing two completely frazzled cats that were new patients was more convenient? The only thing I could come up with was that my dog must have been the appointment I missed. As a business myself, there is a way to resolve problems, and there is a way to lose business. Today Vetco along with Petco lost business. Their grooming department is already under scrutiny and as you can see here, most reviews are one star for Vetco. As someone that is connected in this community and networks for a living, I will make sure my experience becomes well known. Do not bring your animals here. Just think, if she was treating me this way for being a few minutes late, imagine how my animals would have treated had I stayed for the ones they were willing to see. The doctor I am sure heard everything. No one seems to care about customer service anymore. This isn't about my part in being tardy, this is about unprofessional staffing, the way they feel they can speak to people and an unwillingness to work on issues that could easily have been resolved. At the end of the day, they just wanted to go home and did not care about my animals or my business. I was willing to admit to my mistake and tried to come to a fair compromise, but her attitude pushed me and I burned that bridge on the way out. Never again will I do business here.
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. My dog is allergic to trifexis and they prescribed another heartworm medication that had the same ingredient. I called a couple days later to get the prescription changed and after multiple phone calls and a wasted trip driving back to the location at the direction of Customer Service was told I have to bring my dog back for another exam and another vet has to see him to change the prescription.
They don’t listen and accuse pet owners of things
This is specifically regarding Vetco Total Care in Clinton, Utah.
I am leaving two stars only because the scheduling process was convenient. Unfortunately, the actual veterinary visit was extremely disappointing, and I am requesting that someone in management contact me.
I brought my two Goldendoodles in for ear infections, which they have experienced before have successfully treated with a different veterinarian at this location in the past. I explained what had previously worked for them, but my concerns were dismissed, and I was essentially told that the treatment plan had already been decided. As a pet owner, I expect to have a meaningful voice in the care my dogs receive, especially when I am familiar with their history and prior treatment outcomes.
Instead of focusing on the reason for the visit their ear infections I felt that the appointment shifted toward unrelated concerns such as their weight and tartar buildup. While I understand those topics may be relevant to overall health, they were not the urgent issue we came in for, and the way they were presented made me feel uncomfortable rather than supported.
I was also very upset by how the cuts on one of my dogs’ ears were discussed. I explained that my husband had given them a haircut, which accidentally caused the cuts, and that we had tried to care for the areas at home with over-the-counter products, bandages, and tape. Rather than approaching the situation with professionalism and compassion, the repeated comment that “we caused our dog severe trauma” felt accusatory and unnecessary. I already felt terrible about the situation, and the interaction made it worse.
I was also concerned by several aspects of the medical guidance and handling during the visit. I was told it was uncommon for a dog to have this many ear infections, despite Goldendoodles being well known for ear issues, especially when allergies are involved. I was then told their ears would not be cleaned, plucked, or trimmed, yet I was charged for ear-related packages. That was confusing and frustrating because the previous veterinarian we saw provided a more complete ear treatment plan that was more effective, did not require a follow-up visit so quickly, and caused far less stress for my dogs.
The instructions I received for at-home ear cleaning were also concerning. I was told to use Q-tips deep in the ear canal and to continue cleaning until I saw blood, and that’s just superficial. After the appointment, I researched this and found multiple veterinary sources, publications, and the AKC advising against inserting Q-tips deep into a dog’s ears. I do not feel comfortable following instructions that appear to contradict standard safety guidance.
I was also told to share one medication between both dogs, even though I did not request that option. I was then told that because the medication was being shared, I would likely need another prescription sooner than seven days and would need to return before two weeks, incurring another visit charge plus additional medication costs. That does not seem like the “cheaper” option I was told it would be, especially when it is already more expensive than the treatment we previously received.
There were also sanitation concerns during the appointment. Q-tips were dropped on the floor and then used in my dogs’ ears. The sample collection pallet was also dropped multiple times and still used.
Additionally, I was told my dogs’ eardrums could potentially be ruptured, but they were not checked. I also asked about nail trimming and was told it was not offered, even though we have had it done there before.
Overall, I left feeling that my dogs did not receive the thorough, competent care they needed. I also felt that the treatment plan was more likely to require us to return and pay more. My dogs experience stress and anxiety during vet visits, so unnecessary follow-up appointments are not a minor issue.
I am extremely dissatisfied with this visit and will not be returning to Vetco. I am also requesting a refund. I would appreciate a call from someone above the veterinarian and vet tech involved in this visit.
Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Returned my dog after they gave him shots. Said the records will arrive shortly via email, send me to the front to pay. Get home to read in the file I need to come back within 120 day to do the deworm they had me pay for. Never told me or I would not have paid to return again.
Worst experience and customer service I…
Worst experience and customer service I have ever dealt with. Back in March, I took my 12 week old puppy for his vaccines and flea/ tick medication. I was promised I would receive A prescription to renew the medication. It has been 2 weeks since he has been past due, I have called Vetco support multiple times to get his Subscription sent over, and received nothing.
I called once I realized he was due and saw the prescription I was promised was never sent over a week ago. His medical records are on file and I was promised by the vets that a Prescription would be sent during his 12 week visit to renew his medication that never was. When I called customer service they gave me the runaround said they will send me an email in two days that I never received. I called again today, Again met with silence and was denied re-ordering my medication via email and never received a follow up. Call center then promised to connect me with a supervisor to simply get flea and tick medication for my puppy.
I was promised a call today after calling there call center within 30-45 minutes. No answer. Nothing. No call. No follow - up.
Please do not use any Vetco service that Petco provides as they do not look out for the best interest of your family member and refused to provide very simple medication, regardless of if a subscription was supposed to be provided. This is simple, flea and tick medication, not morphine. The fact that for one, my dog never received the prescription we were promised, and the multiple calls I’ve made fell on deaf ears and after being promised for over a week follow up, received nothing and we are in prime flea and tick season.
Please do not use any veterinary service that any Petco provides as they are only looking out for the best interest them and do not care for your dog.
Also, for reference, I am very familiar with this third-party call center that is used for that Vetco and I will be reporting it.
Thank you. And please, go anywhere else. Learned my lesson.
They don't care about pets
They don't care about pets. Volume pricing ,$$to keep money rolling in! There is no follow ups,no consistency of treatment,no understanding or care of animal. Never ever will I use again, run around run around even on site vets or if they are vets have no real experience. Or knowledge poor poor
Extremely hard to work with if you need help
I'd had good experiences previously. But I failed to check that the rabies vaccination came through before I left as my dog Is elderly and I wanted to get him home. When I got home I found the the rabies certificate was not attached with the other documentation in the email. I contacted them and they sent it but it was pended. The veterinarian had forgotten to sign in. I have called repeatedly and still do not have the rabies vaccination I paid for. They indicated it could take from three to five business days to investigate. I will never go there again.
After nine years taking care of service…
After nine years taking care of service K/9 Grizzly Bear we were turned away because of a vet that didn't want to take blood from this service dog that's never hurt anyone falsified his record.
I will never set foot in another Petco…
I will never set foot in another Petco after being lured in by a Facebook ad from their partner vet company, VetCo. Every other Sunday would be a good time to avoid this store because they have two long lines of potentially unvaccinated mixed dogs and cats with no waiting system to prevent infection. I waited over 45 minutes to be told that I would need to pay over $400 for Symparica Trio in order to get the “free” heartworm test advertised with purchase of Simparica Trio. I was assuming I would have to get 3 or 6, but no, a year, and the price is not at all competitive. It’s a great deal cheaper at Chewy with their upfront promotions. I exposed my dog to potentially unvaccinated animals for a fine print gimmick! Never again!
I also noticed that Petco is more expensive than PetSmart. A three pack of my dog’s favorite balls, Kong Squeakair, costs $7.99. At PetSmart it costs $5.49!
They are a rip-off!
Mobile Vetco used to be my go-to for on the spot vaccines, but no more! I hadn't been there in a while, and a lot has changed for the worse! What used to be a $30 vaccine maybe 2 or 3 years ago is now $51 (DA2PP 5-way). I usually vaccinate at home (I can in my state), but had a personal emergency, and needed a vet administered vaccine to kennel my dog. Mobile Vetco had an opening the same day as my emergency. The person checking me in made a big push for packages I did not need. I was shocked at the $51 price tag, but had no other choice. Why is that important? As someone who vaccinates at home, those vaccine vials cost only $5 per vial after you add in shipping. The vet and supplier are getting it cheaper from the manufacturer so they can make a profit. So $51 is a huge upcharge!!!!! ADDITIONALLY, I take all my pets to a local spay/neuter program where Petco donates the DA2PP vaccine if your pet is there to be spayed/neutered AND you are getting the rabies vaccine. Clearly they can afford to give away vaccines! The next time I need a vet administered vaccine, I'm going to Tractor Supply. It's a first come first serve policy, but they are much cheaper than Vetco. Also, that needle disposal fee is a major rip-off. The Sharps container does cost money. But let's just say it holds 1000 needles. Vetco is charging $3 per needle disposal. It does not cost $3000 to send a Sharps container in. Plus the insane prices of Vetco's vaccines! Thank goodness it's rare I need a vet administered vaccine (other than rabies). I do my own grooming, and normally my babies come with me when I travel.
Went to vetco for initial vaccines…
Went to vetco for initial vaccines which was fine. 1 momma and 3 kittens. Male runt was coughing and the Dr misdiagnosed him with a enlarged heart and referred us to a cardiologist. Well after the $900 charges from the cardiologist and told they me that the enlarged heart was a common misdiagnosed problem. I am out the $900 due to poor diagnostic evaluation and Inexperienced veterinarian training. Very disappointing, happy that cat is healthy though?
Scam vaccine package
Paid for a 3 vaccine package, I got two of them and then they canceled the third round of vaccine. They never followed up for the third vaccine and just canceled the $400 package. I showed up to complete it and they demanded another $100 to complete it. The staff recognized the mistake and said it was my fault even though they never followed up and had changed my email to prevent any notifications. Scammy practice would recommend a real vet.
This animal hospital is a joke.
This animal hospital is a joke.
Very rude front desk associates.
My friend brought her furbaby cat in for a free exam and a complete new exam wasn’t even done completely. They didn’t check her lungs or heart or ears. The cat has a lump and they automatically wanted to do a biopsy to check for cancer without even explaining what types of cancer they were looking for !
My friend explained her financial situation when inquiring how much the biopsy would cost ; my friend explained what funds she had , including her Care Credit credit card.
They then said there was two different biopsy tests they could do after they found out the financial situation of my friend . This Vetco in Turlock California also did not inform us that they would have to send the sample out to another lab; yet the website boasts they can handle emergency situations! Not even true!!!!
So my friend goes to check out and pay at the front desk and she was told that she couldn’t get the free new patient exam waived because she was using her care credit credit card and told her she needed to use a real credit card?????
What kind of BS is this?
My friend is disabled and was already very upset and worried about her furbaby only to be treated rudely by the front desk staff and manager!!!!!
How do we know a biopsy was even done? How do we know they would even send the slides out to another lab?
We are very disappointed and disgusted with this pet hospital as well as PETCO in general!
My friend has contacted the Better Business Bureau and is currently waiting on their response after getting no help from the corporate office!
Do yourself and your furbabies a favor; go to an actual pet hospital with veterinarians that have experience and know what they are doing!
We refuse to take any other pets there for Vet Care and we also will not be buying anything from PETCO stores ever again!
We would give no stars or negative stars if we could!
