Bordering on theft – shameful
I was looking for the power rating of an electric motor that comes in two different versions.
This website, which seems legitimate at first glance, is a massive scam.
In fact, after entering the VIN, it claims to have information about the vehicle, with red exclamation marks regarding an accident...
I got scared, I paid, and… no accidents at all – it was a scam, and worst of all, there was no information about the motor. I’ve lost 17 euros.
Bordering on theft – shameful
This Site is a Scam!!
I would give this site zero stars if I could! On the "preview" page they hook you in by showing there is issues with the car! My report had so much missing data; including the report showing the car had zero mileage for years, so there was nothing useful in the report! On the preview, before purchasing the reports, it shows there was a salvage title and accident!! This seems like a very deceptive practice to get someone to buy a report, and should be against the law to misrepresent something, just to trick people into buying their reports! This site is a scam!!
I'm pay for 3 vehicles but nothing…
I'm pay for 3 vehicles but nothing received, also no refund, just delete my account. They are scammers.
Absolutely Useless Site that shows default info.
Absolutely Useless Site that shows FAKE/ DEFAULT info. Im in BC and they the site couldn't even display Freely avalible information from ICBC like if the car and a Rebuilt STATUS. Yes the site cant even Show you that its a scam...
They dont provide odometer
They dont provide odometer, service records or ownership changes.
False advertisement
Don't waste your money
useless old data
Its 2026, their data only went to 2021, does not show the accident that dmv reports, useless old data
Latest Reports Lacking Key Details
Although the first reports I purchased were helpful, the last ones I purchased were lacking significant information. They don't show the odometer reading, the purchase history or the service history. On the basis of these reports, it's impossible to know the mileage, how many owners the vehicle had, whether the vehicle sustained any damage, when the vehicle was last serviced or inspected, etc. These reports don't even show whether the vehicle has a clean title. The one I'm looking at now says NO RECORDS FOUND under Title Information. I won't be buying any more reports.
Fraudulent
Preliminary summary contained basic information (same as all free search services) as well as a list of additional information that was in the full report (which could be purchased for a fee). I paid the fee, received the report, and found that it did NOT contain the information that the preliminary summary identified as being available in the full report. In fact, there was noting in the full report that hadn't already been ascertained via free online searches. Classic fraudulent practice.
The FAQ doesn't have a direct question…
The FAQ doesn't have a direct question about how long you have to use your three reports. They have an FAQ that addresses how long your reports are available. 30 days. Shady business. Avoid
Horrible and useless report ever
Horrible and useless report ever. I purchased a report from VinCheckUp and received report that contains car spec (which can be obtained from any vin websites for free) and recall info (which also available on free sites and manufacturer website). The report shows absolutely nothing about owner history, title information and service records. Reached out to VinCheckUp support and Ahmed P. deflected my original question/request and once I was upfront about getting a refund, he responds with useless jargon and a link to terms&conditions page. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE
Waste of money
Waste of money! It doesn't show any history. All history lines are N/A
Don't do it
Dont waste your money. Shows the vehicle I'm purchasing in Alabama, where it is actually sitting on a lot in BC. They just copied the same info from BC company.
Do not provide relevant information.
I actually just would not give any stars, but that's the lowest rating allow. Hopefully you read this before wasting your money.
Scam
Don’t do it. They will take your information and then charge you, report is not at all accurate. Total scam. I’m old enough to know better doh 🤦🏻♀️ glad I used Apple Cash at least
waste of money..gives no data
Rip off
No real information aside from the make and model of the vehicle. Absolutely laughable. I did this one and then I used carfax and it showed all the accidents and claims there was 3 on carfax and none on the vicheck go figure Absolutely a rip off.
fake scam money grabber
fake money grabber. Said my own car had accidents before I even paid. It's a scam
Fake report
I paid half the price of what I would have paid at Carfax but received no relevant information in return. The report was completely useless and feels like a scam. I strongly advise others not to waste their money.
Dont use VINCHECKUP.com
This is a scam website that provides basic information about the car, but nothing else. A Carfax obtained after this report showed all kinds of information, including maintenance services, prior ownership, traffic collisions, and much more.
When I contacted their customer support they basically replied with a form letter saying, "We do not create, verify, or guarantee the accuracy or the amount of information traced through our service."
Don't use
The vin report did not have a single relevant piece of information that the site said it would give. Everything was blank. I feel like I was robbed
Paid for 3 reports got 2 only
Paid for 3 reports got 2 and was unable to log in and get my 3rd because they said my account is no longer active. Only a month after I signed up.
