Make quality products but do not take…

Make quality products but do not take accountability for errors or delays. Will not fairly compensate loyal customers when mistakes are made on their end. Real shame because they do build good things and we would love to continue to support them if they did the right thing.

Warmoth – Disappointing Experience

I ordered a custom neck from Warmoth for about €700, and the experience has been very disappointing.

First, I asked them to cut the nut for 11-gauge strings — a very reasonable request for a custom neck — but they flat-out refused. That makes no sense, considering the whole point of paying premium prices for a custom build is to have design flexibility.

Secondly, as soon as I heard they wouldn’t accommodate this, I immediately requested a refund. I placed the order only a day earlier, and their website states it usually takes four weeks to even start production. Despite this, they demanded a 25% cancellation fee — supposedly for “time and materials,” even though they hadn’t started building anything.

So essentially, I was asked to pay hundreds of euros for nothing but a wasted day. That is unreasonable, unfair, and extremely disappointing. For a company that markets itself as providing custom guitar parts, they showed little interest in customer satisfaction or flexibility.

I expected much more professionalism and service for the price.

Save $$$, save time!

I ordered a Tele (roasted Ash body) & Strat (roasted 1/4 sawn maple neck) hybrid, totally naked (no finish), standard Tele hardware & set-up by a pro - nothing special to look at…
Already had multiple, big brand guitars worth way more than the Warmoth, but it has been my #1 since its delivery!
Its feel to the hand (organic), its tonal clarity & harmonic resonance - it feels alive (even un-amplified).
Save your time & money.
Pick whatever body & neck you like, have a pro set it up & stop there - it’s truly good enough to be your first, last & only guitar…

Anyone interested in buying some brand name guitars :)

Don't believe their lead times

I ordered a custom body in June. Their web site said it takes 8-10 weeks if you have a finish applied. In July I get an email that my order did not pass QA and I had to choose another top. So now I don't get the top I chose but another that I had to pick from which was not as nice as the first. This also means the clock on the build starts over. So after about 14 weeks into this I send them an email inquiring about the status only to be told it will be another couple of weeks. I call BS and they ship it out in a couple of days. I receive my package only to discover a huge ding in the bottom of the guitar the box was not damaged. Contacted Warmoth and they said they would replace it after I send it back. Now the clock starts over again and I have to choose another top from the scraps that are left. It's now December and It's been 10 weeks so I email them and ask about the status and I'm told the binding took along time so it will be another couple of weeks. Never again!

Please try harder !

Would not process my order because the payment was flagged as potentially fraudulent. They demanded I send photos of my bank statement. I tried to communicate with them via email and phone to avoid sending personal documentation - to no avail.

Seriously, in 20 years of online shopping, I have never had to submit copies of personal documents. Especially since they had already debited my account.

And then, I had to phone them to have them actually return the funds !

Worst of all - they really didn't seem to give a heck.I know who I will never buy from

Unbelievable.
